This was the game that convinced me, he wasn’t a perfect prospect but he was very obviously special. Hope he can win a ring to really vindicate my feelings on him.
Love this kids arm strength and accuracy. His progressions to me are a tad slow and to me it seems like he never gives up on a play which can pay off but also like in the first clip of the video that could have easily been intercepted. Another thing which isn’t even a big deal and it’s probably me just making things up to knock him is his wind when going deep isn’t the traditional motion but it’s really not a big deal. To me the best qb in the draft aswell as the highest ceiling
Fountainhead the difference is he seems to actually be able to read defenses. Brock can’t. And at ASU, Brock wasn’t asked to. Notice in these clips that when they go cover 3, he finds the hole. Vs. cover 2, he finds the weakness. Vs. man, he gives his guys a chance. That’s the difference. Brock looked decent at ASU because they had a good scheme and he has a big arm. Josh Allen can actually read defenses which I think gives him an edge over Brock.
Fountainhead oh yeah, you see it all up In Brock’s highlights. If you look closely, he stares down 1 receiver and just slings it. Josh actually is making reads. If you look closely at Brock’s film he’s locked in on one guy in almost every clip
Put Baker Mayfield, Rosen, and Darnold behind that offensive line and that horrible supporting cast from Wyoming and see how well they do.. But put Josh Allen on Oklahoma, and the Sooners would be national champs
Out of Allen, Rosen and Darnold, Allen has so much more zip to his throws. And from what I can tell he's accurate too. How many times do you hear "Allen to the sideline" and its a ball on a wire. Those are not easy throws to make and you need a strong arm to get them there. On top of that he can buy himself time with his legs and isnt afraid to tuck it and run. And hes a tree, not easy to bring down. Just a lot of athleticism. Curious what people think his weak points are.
Accuracy has generally been a pretty major weakness for him along with timing. His incredible arm strength helps make up for it, but he's late on a lot of his reads. He's a high-risk, high-reward guy to me. If you can coach him up, he has the ability to be an elite NFL QB, but despite coming from a pro-style offense, he has a lot of developing to do still. The kind of arm strength he has opens up so much of the playbook though; he's simply capable of throws that most QBs are not.
Not My Real Name when it comes to pure physical tools him and Jackson are probably the guys but as far as body of work and consistency he’s not in the same class as the other qbs he shows flashes of what he can be
Wyoming's offensive coordinator makes me lose my mind. Your right tackle is getting beat all game long and the few times they give the line help it's on the left side. Would love to see what this guy can do with good play calling and talented receivers.
I hope this kid gets drafted by the Jets at third overall. That would be the ideal situation for him. He would get to sit a year and then be the guy at the start of 2019. This kid is a stud when he has a clean pocket. His accuracy isn't that bad, it is just inconsistent. He has amazing accuracy but then he has a terrible throw. If anything, he is a poor decision maker. He has some other stuff that you can nit pick like how he relies on his arm too much when throwing and how he runs around recklessly sometimes. He doesn't do either of those things all of the time, but he does it frequent enough to grab some attention.
Yup I was wrong at least for this season. Now he most likely will continue play this well throughout his career in the nfl but don't be surprised if those accuracy issues come back into play down the road. Example Carson Wentz
I hope he proves me wrong but its the nfl. You could look like a future HOFer one year and completely fall apart the next. Nothing is a given in this league. Never assume anything. If you don't know that about professional football you haven't watched the game long enough.
Footwork is a mess needs to learn to navigate the Pocket better ....he has all the physical ability to be special but admit right now he's more of a thrower than a quarterback
Looks like a copy of Carson Wentz, now I wonder if he's as smart. Still, I'd take Josh Allen or Baker Mayfield in the draft. Idk about Darnold and Rosen.
His upside is too high to pass on. I don't like how he hesitates because that affects timing and in the NFL that the difference between a completion and interception. Although he has some coachble issues i hope the browns dont pick him and start him right away
This was the game that convinced me, he wasn’t a perfect prospect but he was very obviously special. Hope he can win a ring to really vindicate my feelings on him.
This QB may have one of the worst O-Lines I've seen.
The throw at 0:35 made me wet myself, I now get why people rate him so high, that ball was an absolute bullet.
the one at 2;00 was even better
That throw is so insane to me
He’ll never make it in the NFL. Ever!
Idk how he can tell whos who cause of the damn uniforms
Thank you to the football gods for letting this stud fall to us. #JA17MVP
Wentz is a china doll and Josh is a beast
@Francis Kanneh you can't possibly be that stupid. Sure your name is Francis but get a clue troll.
Games like this is why people like him as a prospect. Josh Allen can play.
His stats are misleading in both ways. Clearly very raw; but if he learns the game and how to anticipate his throws, he will be a savage.
lorne malvo lol sure
Captain Spartan 04 and here we are. 12-3 record, mvp candidate and the best Bills QB in 30 years

Fountainhead wow I actually see what your talking about, hopefully doesn’t turn out like Brock...
Fountainhead big wind up? What are you smoking

Brock had an arm, but even from those highlights you can see how much stronger Allen's arm is.
Good lord that ball jets out of his hands fast.
It's hard to watch this again as a chip but damn dude he's on MNF right meow.
Damn his offense line was swiss cheese in college

Not My Real Name interceptions.

man it look like they got on the same jerseys somebody gotta wear white
Looks a little like John Elway back in the day...I wonder if John will notice that himself in scouting Allen
Chad Jensen I think he will.
Allen's team, specifically his O-Line, were fucking terrible.
00:00-2:23 is all you need to see!! Kid can rip it!! Please come to the Jets!!
that Wyoming OL is pathetic
I hope the broncos draft him. Elway can pull it off.
He throws it so hard every time someone catches it the ball carries them a cpl extra yards
3:06 😂😂

Jay Cutler
He's like Jay Cutler but if he actually liked football
Wyoming has a piece of tin foil as their offensive line.

Accurate from 55 yards away.
I’d like to watch, but that blue field is too annoying
Going to Steelers
Joe J let's hope not
Who cares about arm strength when you cant get the ball to your receiver?
You're stupid.
this guy is going to be a BIG MISTAKE
De'illa 926 lol still say that?
Damn
😂

Broncos!
Christian Crociata looks like he had an offensive line just like the Broncos did this year
Christian Crociata we better get him
Fountainhead he does
He's at his best when painting the corners to the sideline anticipatory skills are lacking
Old takes EXPOSED
Footwork is a mess needs to learn to navigate the Pocket better ....he has all the physical ability to be special but admit right now he's more of a thrower than a quarterback

He is overrated.
😂

He got arm strength but I hate how he stares down receivers. The NFL will eat you up like that.
blazinpyromaniac to be fair that was DeShaun Watsons biggest knock, staring down receivers.
blazinpyromaniac Wentz had that same criticism.
No way
Best QB in the draft
Hey Joe pass the weed
Hey Joe The other one is Baker Mayfield.
@@captainspartan04 still feel that way 😂
@@ericmoore9027 yes because that’s some good weed he was smoking
Reminds me of Carson Wentz. Crazy similarities between them. Fearlessness of getting hit. Evading pressure in the pocket. Big arm
Hope the Giants dont draft him
Chris Castro lmao why?
5:48 says it all.
Looks a lot like brady with his throwing motions and fakes
