I don't understand why some people are surprised that BTS can dance and sing at the same time, MJ and Beyonce are examples of artists who sing and dance
Exactly bc of the examples you cited - MJ and Beyoncé are singular performers. Boy bands have a stigma attached to them, so nobody really expects talent.

For anyone wondering how he can sing while dancing like that... they practice singing while running on treadmills. Tae actually asked his stylist if they could take the beads off this coat because it was super heavy to dance in... but she told him all the fans were commenting on how much they liked the coat... so he said Okay... you can leave it. :) Anything for his fans.
Wow... I can imagine how heavy long coat must be with so many glittering glass beads and he got to sing and dance with it. His professional passion for his crafts and fans.

@@taequilasilver7183 maybe you're right about it being a different version, but in the behind the scenes he talked about the red beaded-coat he wore for Singularity and I've only seen THIS red coat... *shrugs*. I know he wears different outfits for different shows.

TAEHYUNG STANDS OUT THE MOST IN THE VOCAL LINE BECAUSE HE'S NOT A TENOR LIKE THE OTHER THREE. YOU DON'T GET TO SEE A LOT OF HIS AMAZING VOCAL RANGE IN GROUP'S UNIT SONGS BECAUSE THEY'RE MOSTLY INCLINED TOWARDS WHAT SUITS THE OTHER THREE AND EVEN THEN HE MANAGES TO SHINE ON HIS OWN. HE'S ACTUALLY SO TALENTED AND YOU CAN SEE THAT CLEARLY IN HIS SOLO SONGS. FROM STIGMA TO SNOW FLOWER, HE'S AN EXTREMELY TALENTED SINGER, SONGWRITER, DANCER AND THE BEST PERFORMER THERE IS RIGHT NOW. 💜
People who went to their concerts said that this song completely changed the mood of the concert and everyone were so mesmerized that even the audience were unknowingly holding their breath at times.

Fact : he sing this song after performing 9 songs of the group with a dance and then after singularity he did fake love performances without any break and still mange to be amazing at every performance after all his efforts his performance for singularity was chosen as the highlight of bts tour
I know you said the song was very Western, and I see your point, but I wanna point out that Korean RnB is one of the biggest genres in SK, has been for a long time
for all the western people all the songs are westernized, if BTS sang edm, hip hop, r&b, pop and all the genres
But it's a genre music created by the black american community. You can have Korean RnB, but still is a American genre. The same way they do jazz, hip hop, reggaeton, bossa nova etc.
@@Luuhpan okay...? Korean music is influenced from american music. The only music that isn't influenced from american music is traditional folk music. That means all of the music is westernized. Inherently. But this specifically isn't somehow more westernized then any other overseas music.

@Frozen Monster it’s not abt it “belonging” to anybody. Literally most mainstream music, especially in kpop is inherently western because.. that’s LITERALLY where it was invented/originated from.
Taehyung´s Singularity is a masterpiece not only because Tae´s amazing outstanding stage presence but cause his unique deep soft whisper voice... I mean, this is the spotlight in the concert, I really would die to watch Singularity in concert!! thanks so much for your reaction and your kind words
V's facial micro-expressions is definitely the most impressive aspect of this performance in particular. He broke character a little early in that particular concert though, I guess because he was happy.
yeah usually he stays very intense until the very end but this specific performance i think he started laughing a little at the end cause his hair kept getting in his face
This was the most critically acclaimed song and even selected as the highlight performance of the concert ! the one he did with the black outfit was also insane 😭😭 And he is known as the king of stage presence in kpop for a reason ! just his one look to the cam and people start screaming! that’s how much power he holds .

No two Singularity performance is the same. That's what I love about him. He's always making minute changes to his facial expressions and interpretation to the song.
V’s expressions during performances are so good he’s been referred to as the textbook on them by younger kpop idols 😂 lots of trainees look him up and reference his expressions when learning how to perform well

Taehyung stage presence is really something else, many rookie idols study him and his facial expressions.. it really give the extra oomf to the song.
but the thing about Taehyung is that his voice takes you on a journey particularly his self composed songs, you don't need to see him nor even understand the lyrics to get the feeling he wants to convey, I feel that sometimes people gets lost in his face that miss how fantastic his voice his

It's more difficult they are performing continuously 3 hrs. He is continuously performing it's 7 th Or 8 th song of him in concert. He is super tired after that he giving a outstanding performance like this. And costumes are super heavy.

this is just one of his versions of the song. He said so himself that he practices and tries rlly hard to show a different version of his singularity stage every time and he does that so well! this is just one of his many interpretations, and what’s crazy is that every stage of his is equally theatrical and immaculate- some stages better than others but he definitely doesnt disappoint EVERY SINGLE TIME! i cant pick my fave singularity stage cuz they’re all different😅😍😭
This song also is interesting because the movements are so sharp and is the complete opposite of the slow and steady vocals. I think there was something about the masks that show one persona that you show to the world and another one that is your true self, what you see or hear is not always what is on the inside. Its and interesting concept that BTS has used in Save Me and I'm Fine.

Singularity is on the album “Love Yourself: Tear” which is about love being torn apart bc you changed who you are to be with someone. That’s what he means by losing his voice. It could also be why the choreo is twice as fast as the song, it’s the struggle of being who you really are vs who your partner wants you to be.
Taehyung is incredibly impressive. He sing and dance beautiful.
Thank you for reacting and appreciating BTS members for their talent and artistry. I feel that Taehyung aka V's talent and artistry is underated in the group. BTS' songs are typically on the high range and because V who has a more baritone voice would need to always adapt to that. Difficult to shine among other members who have naturally higher range but I think he still manages to keep up. But it is this type of song and genre that I feel his voice really shines.
I personally love his voice and suits so much with neo seoul and r&b type of music. He is such a great song writer, composer and producer. You should check out some of his self composed song such as Winter Bear, Sweet Night, Scenery and Blue & Grey. They are a vibe and very emotional. Really shows what kind of music he is drawn to.

Sir you should watch the introduction to BTS video , because in the video it was mentioned that a large percentage were 30-40yrs old and there were still some people in their 50's to 60's . I think the impact for this song in particular is very much from the lyrics for me. If the emotions don't connect, I can see why you like upbeat songs...but the lyrics here to me are poetry that speaks to my soul. So it works? In a way, I prefer to listen to this song studio version more often than live, I think, just to immerse myself in the poetry and not get distracted by Tae himself
RM wrote the lyrics in one go after a nose surgery in the hospital.
He is the GOAT of songwriting.

honestly, before this song, BTS sang 5 medley-songs, and then he came up for the next performance after like 5-10 minutes break. that's why his voice here didn't show in full power mode, yet still impressive.
