Insulation is Fighting Words in the van build world! Which proves some folks don’t have enough to do and take themselves way to seriously! Thanks for sharing your build and the Not living full time approach to this. Really great of you to show how to do it so you could get your trip in on the weekend! Just super!!
This was really useful, I had no idea hitch mounts existed, I was going to fuck around fabricating all manner of shit that do essentially the same thing. Good stuff, thanks.
This is the approach I’m taking to start off too. Portable solar gen to see how much battery power is needed. A bed to crash in and room for toys. Have fun!
I will be looking in to making my bed like this. I had part battened the walls for insulation etc so thought it was to late. But by looks of your placement of the 2x4 it looks like i should still be able to do it! Cheers
You all prolly dont give a damn but does someone know a way to log back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot my login password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
@Gibson Colton i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
absolutely fantastic video I love it. all the small details like the wooden frame under the fan is amazing 🤙. as I said before please improve the mic quality otherwise than that the other audio is outstanding and your very funny🤙happy on the go shredding with the van
Can you share the specifics of the generator? Model, brand were to buy it? Or if you now found a better option? Where did you got it???? Thanks in advance and congratulations!!!!
It is a huge mistake to those board insulation. You gotta use fluffy insulation material to fill in the space between the metal sheet and inside wall. This board won’t be able to trap the air movement inside the wall.
Niccolo Defendi-cho The fan helps circulate air through the van. It has two modes. 1) intake, which is where it brings fresh air from the outside and blows it into the van. 2) outake, which blows the hot air from inside the van outside to help cool the van off quicker. Also it helps remove water vapor from the air which can help prevent mold in the van.
Hello, just curious how's the Transit holding up? I'm looking at the 2020 model with AWD but the reviews are not that great. A lot of rust issues, transmission and drive shaft problems and the water drain from the window into the motor, breaks going out at 30k miles. What's your experience been?
Also, you can make them yourself for cheaper... just take a large ziplock bag, put a trash bag inside the ziplock bag and use binder clips to secure the trash bag at the bottom of the ziplock bag. Works just as well and saves some $$ just takes a little longer to assemble everything
Thank you that’s very helpful I appreciate it. One other question do you have a link to the thermopro inside outside temperature control you use that look pretty cool also
Some people have light fingers and some have bigger balls than others regarding how bold they get when stealing something, I had 3 high end bikes stolen from me about 5 years from a friends garage only 50 feet away from the house. My buddy had the door down but unlocked and I guess someone knew I had then in there as well as noticing the door handle not locked, I thank GOD that I had insurance for them however that doesn't replace sentimental value Canyon Spectral??
Thanks! And I don’t mind sharing, but I still have to add up all my receipts and have not done that yet so not sure how much I’ve spent so far. Was planning to add everything up once the build is completed
3/4 ton, non extended length, and can’t remember the engine off the top of my head but it was cheapest engine configuration and it’s the highest roof height available
Not all bikes are the same; some have quick release skewers that you loosen, some have a bolt that you loosen with an Allen key, and some have to be loosened with a wrench. Good Luck!
Basically it should be applied to the bigger flat surfaces that can vibrate, Knock on them to hear the tin can sound and how they resonate. I put a couple of strips in a cross pattern on those surfaces but also on the floor in my van. Tap the panel afterwards and you'll hear how the high pitch resonances have died off. Actual sound insulation is done with the insulation and whatever you cover the walls with afterwards, This stuff is expensive and heavy so save some money for for other things.
Nice video with awful sound. Your microphone is bad, your voice is muffled and as a result the background music is 3 times louder than your voiceovers. This channel deserves a quality microphone
Vinncent24577 it’s called being inspired by someone leave him alone bruh, he seems to be living a fun and adventurous life you should encourage him to keep it up and try to live a fun life like he does

Awesome, glad it was of use and saved you some time fabricating!!
Super helpful! Looks like a highly functional and pleasant getaway Van. Enjoy!

Nice work. Love how you are building the van. Great video too. Well done👏👍

You definitely deserve more subs!
Thanks dude!
This is my goal for this year. Nice work!
Nice, it’s a lot of work, but totally worth it! Good luck
Good job Ben! On road and exploring fast!

The most exciting part for me was seeing eburg Home Depot. I think maybe I spend too much time there. Keep up the good work
mpg for that model of Ford cargo van?
Hi,
Does your transit have a medium or high roof?
Thanks
Nice video, also what is the point of the fan?
Niccolo Defendi-cho

Good vids keep up the great work 👍👍👍👍🤗
Thanks!!
🤗🤗🤗
Foam spray insulation would work better and is way easier to instal.
I read that spray foam is really flammable, wouldn't it be dangerous if you would have to drill into the sheet metal because it would make sparks?
You should RELLY post more your videos are actually really underrated and interesting
Is this a medium roof?
Thanks for the video can you tell me where to get those black bags for the toilet please thank you
Johnny Battle Life they sell them on amazon. Just search reliance double doody toilet waste bag. Should find them there
Also, you can make them yourself for cheaper... just take a large ziplock bag, put a trash bag inside the ziplock bag and use binder clips to secure the trash bag at the bottom of the ziplock bag. Works just as well and saves some $$ just takes a little longer to assemble everything
Thank you that’s very helpful I appreciate it. One other question do you have a link to the thermopro inside outside temperature control you use that look pretty cool also
And where did you mount the outside sensor on the van for the temperature readout
Yo can u send me a link to where I can buy the same generator in this video 👍
What size is this transit ??
Looking good
Great work!. BTW, what's the height, from the floor, of the bed?
11:02 38" so around that depending on bikes, tray and bed I'd guess.
Is that a mid or high top van? What's the wheelbase? In the market for a ford transit to do exactly this with it
It’s the high top and it’s the shorter wheelbase

Canyon Spectral??
nice van build, do you mind sharing your budget?
Thanks! And I don’t mind sharing, but I still have to add up all my receipts and have not done that yet so not sure how much I’ve spent so far. Was planning to add everything up once the build is completed
You music was good. Not over powering.
Have you seen, watched Seven O Savage?
He has done a good build on a Sprinter.
277kne thanks! Have not seen his yet, will have to check it out
Info on your van please? 1/2, 3/4 ton? Engine, XL or XLT? Height of van?
3/4 ton, non extended length, and can’t remember the engine off the top of my head but it was cheapest engine configuration and it’s the highest roof height available
Great video. Is this the medium or or high roof height van?
High roof
And thanks!
What length? Long or extended?
Are you from Maryland
LogWest yup
How do you take off the wheel of the bike
Not all bikes are the same; some have quick release skewers that you loosen, some have a bolt that you loosen with an Allen key, and some have to be loosened with a wrench. Good Luck!
Amazing 🔥🤘🏼
Nice rig but as usual way too much Killamat was used. Only strips and patches are needed in certain spots to take out the high freq resonances.
Which spots and how much?
Basically it should be applied to the bigger flat surfaces that can vibrate, Knock on them to hear the tin can sound and how they resonate.

cool video
Michael Holding thanks!
Same as Singletrack Sampler's van
John Wick needs one of these
Jeremy Holroyd indeed
love your vids do more backyard trails video been here since 157 subs
Awesome, thanks for the support. Working on the next backard trail video now!
