- Hello, guys. In this video I'm building the first Bf 109 on the channel. The Eduard Weekend Edition kit is really nice, but the lower wing halves are a bit too thick so I had to sand down the locating pins. This, compounded by a temporary lack of modelling awareness, led to the events of minute 4:40 :). Anyway, I carried on and I think the end result is "passable".
A video of the base build is on it's way.
Enjoy!

Very cool! We'll done! I just finished this very kit in the Africa scheme, great kit!😊
Great job and a nice subtle look. If I am using seat belt decals, I cut them and leave the backing paper on..just glue them in place. Looks more realistic.
Landing flaps would be raised upon landing and prior to taxiing. Firstly they provide lift..not required after the touch down and secondly to avoid damage on rough strips…They do look good down though.
great build, I particularly like the exhaust effect you got with the airbrush!
"Despite my best efforts, the wings still fit pretty well", funny, lol! Nice build.
It's always fun to build a 109, no matter what variant.
And the standard german camouflage is the cherry on top! 🙂
Eduard's 109G looks less fiddly than their E.
Thank you for sharing!
Maybe a romanian one next time! 😉
I do have a Romanian stationed 108 in the stash. Hope it counts. Mersi. 😁
Yeah, all the Fs Gs & K are basically the same kit. Nice and straight forward. The Es are super fiddly and a lot of extra work with the engine.
Excellent workmanship on your 109. If you don't mind the underside colour should be rlm76 but it looks like rlm65. Still looks great though. Also get rid of the Trumpeter riveter and get yourself a Rosie the riveter 👍
Fine work! Thanks for sharing
Thank you. 👍
Superb work!
isopropyl alcohol fuel Messerschmitt Bf-109 ,Isopropyl alcohol produces a yellow flame ,ie the yellow you see
Excellent quality
"Despite my best efforts, the wings still fit pretty well" :D :D I love that! The result is awesome, you have nothing to worry about. I'm building a similar kit, the g-6 version and your video was useful. Thanks! Oh, and you did a great job with the mottling as well.
Great job! Turned out great 😁
Mulțumesc
Excellent result 👍
Glad you like it. 🙏
Awesome build !!!!
The one thing that makes a great model builder is making a mistake and being able to fix the mistake to a perfect finish
part of me says this is hard, another part of me says this is calmy easy
Nice one mate cheers ✌
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice 109 camo looks good you should have a go at a fw 190 from eduard ❤
The instrument panel decal appears to be backwards.
Nice 109. Are the decals from the kit the ones of Eduard's new style that can be peeled off?
Yep. It's all out if the box.
I just read your entire question and they are normal style of decals. No peeling.
Dude I have a weird question but I want to buy a 1:48 a4 sky-hawk. Hobby Boss and Hasegawa make one but I don’t know which one I should get. From your experience in general is hasegawa or hobby boss easier. I am a medium level builder but I don’t want a confusing instruction booklet.
I have no idea. From my experience, the newer the molding, the better. You might want to check out Scalemates and see the entire history of the model. Sometimes you can download the instructions and study them.
@@SpruesToScaleok ty that’s really cool I didn’t even know that existed
