So, I got the game. Having a blast even though I suck at games like this... It gives me the option to TRY and improve, and I've been getting better and better. Timing and pattern recognition is what saves you in these games. I used to be afraid to even try dark souls games, but... over the years, i gave in... and while i used to get mad at them... that's what practice is for. People who cant get into dark souls style games or hate them flat out just want instant gratification and a character who's OP and can smash through everything right off the bat. That gets old way too quickly, if you ask me.
This game reminded me how boss fights used to feel when I was a child. You were excited and stressed and defeating the boss actually felt like an accomplishment. Here is a tip if you like bows, but your starting class does not have one, when you enter Limgrave for the first time and you head all the way to the left you will see a sea and a broken structure beneath the cliff under that broken structure there is a merchant similar to Kalé wich sells a bow for 600 Runes. There are no real threats on the way there aside from a giant troll (Sneak past it) and 4 Goblin dudes near a rock on the beach (they aren’t that hard to fight.)
You had me go on a whole adventure this merchant was really underneath a huge structure Coddled away in the dark lol I would've never came down here😭🤣🤣
First time i got taken to the roundtable was after i got teleported to a crystal cave at the top right of the map. All i did was open a chest and BOOM high level dungeon, came out in a red swamp extremely confused. Eventually found a grace site, and there she was ready to hold my hand and tell me everything was gonna be okay. Thank the Erdtree for the timing.
Dude the exact same thing happened to me. I explored a good bit after and found some great items and unlocked a bunch of lost graces. Those teleporting chests threw me for a loop tho.
I'll tell you this, the area with the soldiers is an excellent early grinding spot. I leveled up 10 times just learning the mechanics of Elden Ring. Now, when I walk through that place I take them all on at once. Usually with my +3 wolves in tow so I can get into a really big fight.
@@wrinkmd I don't know where you are in the quest line so I'm starting from the beginning... 1. You first run into her inside Stormhill Shack. She's really close to a grace point. 2. Talk to her making sure to run through her dialog. You'll know when she's done as she will begin repeating herself. 3. Go to Stormveil Castle and find the mini boss The Scion Grafted. Behind the room he is in you will find a room with discarded body parts and dogs guarding it. The item you need is in this pile and if you want you can run around everything just for those items...just be careful and move fast! 4. Once you have the item go back to Rodrika and run out her dialog. She will appear by the Round Table after that and give you a Golden Seed for helping her. 5. Go directly to the Blacksmith and talk to him about Rodrika. Then back to her and continue the conversation. 6. Speak to Gideon Ofnir and exhaust his dialog and that should do it. 7. Let some time pass...kill stuff, teleport all over, whatever and she will be in the same room as the Blacksmith ready to upgrade your spirits. Bonus- To upgrade your Spirit Ash, you’ll need to bring Roderika certain plants known as Glovewort. Standard summons require Grave Glovewort whereas more elite/unique summons require Ghost Glovewort. Melina took me to the round table before i even got to the first boss grace. I think its based on how many graces you have. It happened pretty much when i rested after getting the horse
Wait what, that’s cool - I’ve been trying to collect all the grace sites in Limgrave, including the dungeon ones so hopefully I’ll get to the Roundtable early
@@titusgray4598 I had the same experience. I got the grace at the gate, then the grace in front of Margit, and when I rested at that grace, it sent me to the roundtable.
@@mrcydesign Oh ok, good to know. Still want to get those graces collected because dungeons. I didn't know how many anyway so I'm just doing my best to explore.
I was wondering about it as well. I counted 16 sites of graces found when Melina took me to the Roundtable. For me, the site was the one on the small isle to the soutwest of Limgrave, right to the west of the starting point.
Remember, wielding a weapon with 2 hands sets the str req at 2/3 that displayed, so the Golden Halberd from the first Tree Sentinel and the Greataxe can be wielded two handed at 20 str, which is much more doable in the first parts of the game than 30.
thanks to your preparation I finally beat the first boss. But I also did some mini bosses and exploration for example I have a big chunk of the underground map already because I got distracted. 1st boss was horrible but I had a slow weapon that didn't help at all. But after preparation I beated him in the 4th try
The Stonesword Key room in the tutorial IS IMPORTANT. Inside a secret path with that chariot is a talisman called Eldtree's Favor. It is Elden Ring's version of the Ring of Favor
Great stuff. One thing tho. Since you're returning to the stormhill shack anyway (the place where you first meet the spirit tuning girl and get the jellyfish) make sure to go in the shack again. There will be a rose on the ground where the girl was and an item. Another golden seed.
There is another item you can get to help with the first boss. Head east from the camp at gatefront and drop down into the canyon. Once there look for a cave and meet an old friend if you've played any of the souls games before but after some "convincing" an item will be for sale that will help quite a bit with the first boss.

Yeah, bloody slash is very good at the moment. It also cost pretty much nothing unless your spamming it every 5 seconds
I'll just add this as a top-level comment here as there are too many people confused about how to make Roderika go to the Roundtable: No, you DON'T need to get an specific item found inside the castle to make her go. She can go even before you beat Margit. That happened for me. I don't even have that memento item yet. For sure there is at least another trigger for her to go to the Roundtable. The item probably just expedites the process if you manage to get it before the other possible trigger is met. This is why this video, as well as another one I've seen yesterday, doesn't mention getting the item. I was confounded by it too as the wiki and another written guide I've read claimed giving her the memento was necessary. I was looking into it to see if I could upgrade spirits to help me against Margit. And lo and behold, while exploring the world and trying to level up a bit more before trying again, I ended up in her shack and she wasn't there anymore. I grabbed the seed she leaves behind, went to the Roundtable and there she was. I even saw in the other video where to find upgrade materials to get spirit ashes to +3 and I still didn't explore the castle enough to find the memento.
It's so much fun to try different weapons, and I like the fact that some weapons are good against specific opponents and you need to have a variety (except for a few very powerful good-against-almost-all). :)
6:30 I got mine at sellia , town of sorcery site of grace after getting there through sellia crystal tunnel . Though I went there for rotten tray ashes but got lost there , found out that going to this site of grace and sitting there will enable me to fast travel which i wasn't able to do then. When I sat there , cutscene started and melina gave me access to roundtable hold
@@JDRacing-j2v have you talked to the blacksmith after talking to her first time? If you have you then go back and talk to her about what the blacksmith said and then go back again to the blacksmith. If you’ve done all that then reload the area by travelling to another travel point and going back.
good shit, man. thank you! I already found a couple of these items today on my second character (sorcerer), but I couldn't use a few of them. You helped me out a lot. Much appreciated, brother.

And if not you can get a flail in the chest in the massive carriages at Gatefront Ruins, which also has bleed, 10 str 18 dex and the moveset feels so satisfying, plus better vs armoured enemies because its not a slashing weapon like a sword
I did some experimenting myself: You get the hub area after challanging magrid the first time and you meet melina at one of the two sites of grace around the group of soldiers with the first map as reward. It doesn't matter which one and you can have as many others as you want already, it will trigger at the first time you rest at one of them. Oh and if you have problems with any bosses then having a look at previous games is a good strategy. The Leonine Misbegotten for example shares a lot of moves with gael from Dark Souls 3.
I think you may be correct at getting the Maiden. However, I unlocked round table hold SUPER early on, and have still never even found the first boss. So that can’t be the only trigger.
It’s not the regular dude. I’m guessing since the voices sound similar but different, it must be a family member. Or at least someone from the same area as JorRaptor
To get the red hood girl into the round table, you have to have progresses her quest far enough Dennis. The quest leads into the castle past Margith the Fell, you'll know when you found the item needed for the quest. After that talk to her for her final dialogue, and THEN she'll appear in the roundtable hold. I won't spoil any details regarding the exact location. Happy gaming
This wasn’t my experience. I have her in my game as a vendor and I’ve not even found the first boss. One thing I’m noticing … there are LOTS of ways to trigger things in this game. I also got round table hold before leaving Limgrave or seeing the first boss.
@@Adam4137 its true there are lots of ways to do things in this game that is a big reason its so amazing but having a way to trigger something consistently is very important to grow a community and if you follow the step in the original post you will get the npc as a vendor every time on every play through if you try to just follow the advice in the video you can get stuck reloading the round table area forever
For Rodrika to apear in your roundtable you have to do her gigantic quest first where you have to go to the castle after the place you saw her first and then give her the item that she seeks (you find the Chrysalids (it’s an item you can pick up as a loot in a Specific area) in that castle near her place), then eventually she goes to the round table. She won’t magically apear in that area. Note: You have to Vanquish the first boss Margtt. 5:00 and 7:00 in this moment you created a lot of confusions, because you didn’t explain that part fully and you just skipped it. You guys always say we explain that in a bit and you never mentioned it until the end. Focus in a part first and then go to another subject.
Props for trying to explain these details! However, I don’t think this is correct. I’ve not messed with the castle at all, or done a quest for her. She is currently in my Hold as a vendor, and she went there as soon as I had talked to her and gotten Jellyfish. No quests needed. I think there are a lot more things at play here than we realize! Also, I do hope I haven’t lost access to this quest you mentioned …
@@Adam4137 I think the quest happens when you Exhaust her dialogue and talk too much after you get the jellyfish. Then she locks into that quest and won’t appear in your round table. Looks like you got lucky and didn’t tried anything else😅
*I have never played any of the souls games (I usually stay away from games that people claim are hard) but i really want to play Elden Ring but i got some questions:* 1. Will summoning the spirits make the game less challenging for me? 2. Can I summon spirits at every boss battle? 3. Can i request for help from an online player at every boss battle or that feature is reserved for specific boss battles
Either option would make it a lot easier. You can only use ash spirit summons if you're within a certain range of a "Rebirth Monument". Almost all bosses are within range of one, but not *all* are. There are certain areas of the map especially later in the game that don't have any. I don't know if you can summon players for every boss battle, but I haven't seen one you can't yet other than maybe the very first boss in the tutorial area. You can summon other players just about anywhere. You don't even need to wait for a boss area. You should know if you summon another player, you can't summon an ash spirit as well. Just one or the other. Elden Ring can be tough, don't get me wrong, but it seems to have been made a little more accessible for newer players than the previous games. Either way, even the more difficult parts are very rewarding when you finally beat them, so I recommend them all highly. (Including Elden Ring, of course)
I got access to Roundtable Hold at that first church on the left as you enter Caelid before I even fought Margit. I had already explored a lot of Caelid, most of the Weeping Peninsula, a good chunk of Liurna, and some of Dragonbarrow. So, I have no idea what that trigger is lol
Two things on the hold I got mine when I went into the dragon swamp opened chest and got teleported then found a grave there and unlocked it. Then BIG FACT once in hold dont jump of the balcony there's a invader fight bleed and frost build freida type fight will loss your souls or what ever there called.
I've played through the beginning twice now and what I've noticed is that the round table becomes accessible after you encounter the first official boss and fail or beat it. after that when you rested gracepoint the cutscene will play
I’m not sure what I did specifically but with Rodericka or however you spell it, she didn’t give me the jellyfish n was automatically at the round table, however when I went back to stormhill shack I found a second golden seed where she was originally sitting. I’m assuming this was some kind of compensation for missing out on the jellyfish but thought some people might want to know!

I grabbed the seed she leaves behind, went to the Roundtable and there she was.
I even saw in the other video where to find upgrade materials to get spirit ashes to +3 and I still didn't explore the castle enough to find the memento.
Man I have been following your channel since the height of AC: Odyssey and I never thought we would be covering Elden Ring here its great to see 🔥
Tip, you don’t have to kill the giants pulling the cart. You only need to smack one in the leg once and they stop long enough to loot.
I just started Elden ring and I’ll just say I won’t get through anything without watching guides 🤣🤣🤣
this was actually helpful unlike most guides ive come across
It's so much fun to try different weapons, and I like the fact that some weapons are good against specific opponents and you need to have a variety (except for a few very powerful good-against-almost-all). :)
6:30 I got mine at sellia , town of sorcery site of grace after getting there through sellia crystal tunnel . Though I went there for rotten tray ashes but got lost there , found out that going to this site of grace and sitting there will enable me to fast travel which i wasn't able to do then. When I sat there , cutscene started and melina gave me access to roundtable hold
Really great work. I am going back and getting stuff I missed.
Ill probably pick up this game once the price drops cus otherwise rip my waller for all these months games.
If ur on pc Dont get it on pc until they fix the framedrops
Lol same but I'm not mad because I got horizon to keep me busy for a while...
@@m00nbutter7 I play on a gaming laptop and it’s running perfect for me.
Im telling you if you have the money get this game before someone spoils it for you. It’s definitely worth the money.
It's only like $54 for ps5 at Walmart after taxes
Another tip: after you ralk to the lady at the round table(who gave the jellyfish) there will be a golden seed in the house you initially met her.
She doesn't seem to want to go to the table room for me
@@JDRacing-j2v Same for me, she keeps talking about a cryssalid?
@@JDRacing-j2v have you talked to the blacksmith after talking to her first time? If you have you then go back and talk to her about what the blacksmith said and then go back again to the blacksmith. If you’ve done all that then reload the area by travelling to another travel point and going back.
This is amazing bro, thank you❤️
Thanks dude, gonna try and do all this stuff next time I play.
Usually I’m pretty through when it comes to exploration in games but this game an this video made me realize I need to step it up
Thank you first time playing a game like this, and the video and comments are really helpful!
good shit, man. thank you! I already found a couple of these items today on my second character (sorcerer), but I couldn't use a few of them. You helped me out a lot. Much appreciated, brother.
At the end of the dungeon in the beginning where you get run over by the wheel is a golden rune that gives you 1600 runes
I went and killed bloodhound first then went to kill Fell, wasn’t too difficult with that weapon and it’s one of my favorites still
Great video. This answered a lot of my questions. Thank you.
Great tips, Just started playing Elden ring and this has been very helpful
You’ve agents been great at these videos… thank you for the consistency
Thank you for the beginning tips!
this is so freaking amazing i litterly need $4 then im buying elden ring ive never played a souls like game ever but i love being destroye just to farm and come back and win. so i thhink i will love this game, and this video will help me so much. THANK YOU RAPTOR:3
Great Video!! easy to follow, appreciate it!
The samurais uchigatana has bleed right off the bat as well as them having solid armor and a bow. Highly reccomend for a starting class.
And if not you can get a flail in the chest in the massive carriages at Gatefront Ruins, which also has bleed, 10 str 18 dex and the moveset feels so satisfying, plus better vs armoured enemies because its not a slashing weapon like a sword
What should I go Samurai or Confessor?
@@InfiniteBeak I am dual wielding flail and uchigatana , works like a charm as of now
@@AbhayRajKarun ooh that's brave, I'm too much of a baby to not use a shield in my offhand 😅
Great content, JorRaptor!
I got it from going to the death root npc with the 88,000 rune gargoyl
I think you may be correct at getting the Maiden.
However, I unlocked round table hold SUPER early on, and have still never even found the first boss. So that can’t be the only trigger.
Easy to follow informative fun guide 10/10
Enjoy your tutorials. Very helpful. This is a spectacular game. Cheers!
WE APPRECIATE YOU BRO. FASHIGADIG 🤘😎🔥🔥🔥
Thanks man those tips were great !
This is super helpful, thanks!
i thought i had started to watch azzap oh my you two sound very similar in this video haha thanks for the video man it was awesome!
Thanks for this! Love the tips!
Yea first souls type game I've played starting to get it figured out thanks for the video
10:37 To fight the knight, try to climb up the tower, and push him down
Very, very good guide. Thank You!
So helpful. It's a great way to get going!
You guys are a beast!!!!! Love the videos
Very helpful. Thank you.
What is the name of the armor (red robe with chest plate & fur collar) at 1:24 of the video?
hey bro this is my first video i watch of you since assassins creed odyssey days. can i ask what happened to your voice? cheers and thx for the vid 🤝
It’s not the regular dude. I’m guessing since the voices sound similar but different, it must be a family member. Or at least someone from the same area as JorRaptor
Best beginner tutorial by far
Thank you for letting us know about the blood ash of war. I’m getting that tonight for sure. Lol
1. you don't need to kill the giant for the carriage to stop. hitting it will suffice.
2. The Jellyfish has a name: Aurelia.
Excellent video bro thank you so much!
Awesome video man thanks alot
10:50 Gotta love this Bloodborne legacy, will definitely go for it.
This is what the video should have explained thank you very much I could not figure out how to get her to move
I got her inside roundtable long before even seeing the Fell, i didnt kill it yet too.
@@Scorex7 Its might be possible to get the required item via an alternative route. :)
Bro took me so long to defeat margrit few minutes later I realized there’s a lock on 😭
lekker strakke video gozer, kudo's
One thing that could have been mentioned is the ball bearing and then the margit shackle but great vid👍
I just finished downloading Elden ring from the disk to my ps4 and I can’t wait to play it
*I have never played any of the souls games (I usually stay away from games that people claim are hard) but i really want to play Elden Ring but i got some questions:*
(Including Elden Ring, of course)
this video saved my play through i’m the wretch and i was making a willam wallace build but i could not find a sword
Great video. Question can you find the items that the merchant has out in the world or should i buy them like the cookbooks etc..
Thanks, awesome Help!
Awesome focused guide for begginers👏
Great vid! I'm loving this game!
Excellent video thank you 🙏
Two things on the hold I got mine when I went into the dragon swamp opened chest and got teleported then found a grave there and unlocked it.
That's not compensation. I got the jellyfish and the seed was there when I went back.
What class is being used at 0:31?
