4:56:40 I don't think Suez bonus counts for impact of Industry - only mines (actual worker on mines + anything that impacts mine workers - such as for example transcontinental railroad).
1:49:30 About the armies generating culture from the leader. Im pretty sure an Army, and military Unit are different. Iirc Unit is the individual piece (in this case, the 4 infantry (not sure if the 2 farmers count as units exactly, but as per leader they count for tactic purposes)) But an Army is a group of units that fulfill your current tactic(1 fighting band per 2 infantry), so in this case he has 3 armies(normally only 2 for the 4 infantry units, but because of his leader, it is 3 armies because his farmers count as a 3rd fighting band, i think at least) So at this point if i read it right he should be getting 3 culture from thus leader effect
3:13:05 1)Edward should have gotten 1 science and 1 culture from Theresa when increasing pop. 2)Edward forgot to use a civil action cube to increase pop - 2 civil actions were played (patriotism and increase pop), but only 1 white cube used.
4:44:06 all should have lost 2 yellow tokens from the bank after age 3 ended. 4:48:13 you don't draw military cards in age 4 (especially not 5 (3 is a limit) - unless Sun Tzu in age A-1)
Edit: ah ok good i just had to wait a min for someone in Chat to mention it. Glad, variants are fine so long as eveeyone is agreed ahead of time. Origional: At 51:00 min or so, what is he talking about in regards to everyone waiting until their turn to do the thing the event says EVEEYONE does IMEDIATLY? Since when do you queue up the events when they are revealed? Yes you do it in turn order, but you all do it right now, not on your turn, otherwise you would stack up ip to 4 event bonuses in one go. I dont know what app he is using but I have never used one that played the way he describes, it May be a rule variant for online play i suppose, like the blind bidding for colonies, instead of turn order bet/raise i guess, but if it is not outright wrong, it is definatly an optional varient and not default rules ( unless they changed it in a newer version i guess?)
This game is so good! I don't want to comment, just in case people do watch the 5h14mn playthrough. Thank you for another wonderful video. I am very much looking forward to the next TtA game (it made me want to play it this weekend). 💙
I really enjoy through the ages, the only thing i dislike is that very often - the easiest option for the second strongest player to catch up on the leader is not to try and hurt the leader, but to just kick the losing player more when they're already down.
3:31:01 building the first stage of the wonder did not make sense - this just wasted an action and 1 resource (Edward will still need 2 actions to finish it later with eg and architecture, so building the first stage with EG (worth 4 resources instead of the second stage worth 3) in the next round seems more logical.

Such a great game. The only thing against it is that the app *exists*.
Still, should play this again.

my takeaway ... #justplaytheapp
