  • Prepare to embark on a nostalgic journey as we revisit a classic episode from Season 2, of Legendary Motorcar TV Show - "A Rare Desert Find". For more Ford GT40 videos check out our gold GT40: • The Legendary 1966 GT4...
In this segment from Season 2, Episode 7, Peter Klutt and his son, Gary, venture to Arizona in search of classic cars. They strike gold when they find out that Harley Cluxton III is selling a very rare, completely original GT40 street car.
The two discuss the distinctions between the race-ready version and the streetcar and then decide to take a quick test drive to feel the car's character on the road. Upon returning, Peter and Harley examine the original documents and paperwork before delving into negotiations on the price.
This particular example was a Carmen Red, GT40 Streetcar. Built for the road, the streetcar is the same as its Le Mans winning counterpart other than some minor interior changes (addition of a cigarette lighter, ashtray, carpeting, etc.) and engine tune.
