Thanks for posting this video! This is one of the most satisfying shot to make 'cause it's all about placement...and it means I was able to read my opponent's move. But it's SO TRUE that it's also one of the most difficult shots to do. It requires precision and a lot of control--which is hard to achieve when you get too excited thinking you'd win the rally. Looing forward to your next video.
Love the thorough analysis of a specific situation in single that happens quite often. What shot would you recommend when you have people pushed in deep? As you say that cross can be dangerous, and I feel like the straight block is often anticipated so rarely a winner - perhaps I just need to accept that even though people are pressured it doesn't have to be a winner, but I often feel like I don't get enough out of the situation and my opponents quite easily reset the rally with a defensive neutral shot.
I think you really need to analyse the situation. If it’s a high quality neutral shot from your opponent, you just need to accept that and continue the rally, keeping your patience ☺️ Otherwise you need to take an extra step forward and see if you can add a bit of extra pressure by taking the shuttle early
Thank you very much for your tips! 🤩😃 I used this tactic in singles when I played against better player. Well... they won everytime 😄 Your tips does make me think twice, before I even thinking about doing a cross court net shot next time. The quality of good shot and have a good fast footwork it's does matter 🙂
Very underrated.
I love my cross nets
I figured it out the hard way.
😅
