A wrong comparison to begin with - apart from the price tag, these bikes have nothing in common. Mojo is a tourer, KTM Duke 200 is a city Street bike and Himalayan in an off road tourer - purpose built for Indian mountain road conditions. (or even for the potholed City roads) Mojo is most comfortable in the Highway. Duke 200 is best in the City stop & go traffic. Himalyan is best for back country roads. Choose your bike based on your riding needs.
For all those fellas asking how can you compare. They are compared with probably the only criteria Indians see, price range. All of the rest like tourer, scrambler, street fighter comes in next. Even if you do buy it, youre going to ride it 80% within the city only.
And see said that ktm is 20 kg lighter than mojo. While moji is around 186 kg and himalyan had a dry weight if 190 kg. Dukr us just 130 kg in weight. This shows the incompetency of this reviewer.

@@thirubalaji2462 oh that's a huge problem to have, don't you think. If the engine cuts off suddenly during an overtake on a road with oncoming traffic... wow, that would be scary. Hope you get it rectified before it affects you.
Wait.. the Himalayan has bad styling? WOW. just wow. I think it is the best looking bike of the three - it retains the classic look, while being an amazing touring bike for the price tag. If you're touring, comfort and power (torque) matter - not speed !!!
Speed matters on an open highway. Leaning matters in the mountains. I have an Avenger that does 90-100 comfortably, but that speed really gets boring on flat long straights.
Fantastic and very honest comparison..... I really love the RE Himalayan because of it's classic looks and rugged functionality.. Looking forward to buy one..
Great review. The RE has very classic looks and doesn't t care if the kids won t want it because there are other faster bikes with cartoon graphics. It just looks cool, calm and collected. Timeless looks are hard come by.
I agree with you but I was willing to trade in my Duke 200 for the Himalayan because of how well it handles the whole spectrum of surfaces you might ride on in India. The chassis is brilliant and the engine is not underpowered but more grunt is definitely needed. But yes, these are two very contrastingly different bikes. I'll wait for the 390 Adventure.
Sir...I'm 20.....!!!! N I'm about to own a Bike soon.....so what would be your suggestion...for me to purchase...the best one among these three bikes....!!!

Yes and no both. While its definitely comfortable than R15 but its a hell lot heavy to steer in traffic. D200 is a proper traffic cutter. R 15 is still a better city bike as its light and use thighs to hug tank and leave hands loose to avoid aching
I got the Delivery of Royal Enfield Himalayan Snow white colour today evening,The gear box had a serious issue and the gears got stuck in some gear which constantly shifted out of gear upon trying to engage the gear just barely 7 kms from the showroom .I took the delivery from North Delhi Motors Shalimar bagh.I had this problem at Netaji subhash place and I was literally stuck on the main road with bike constantly moving out of gears and the dials showing a dash instead of the gear number. I own a RE thunderbird 500, apart from seating position I'm pretty much disappointed with everything like the engine vibration above 80kmph, bad suspension and poor city mileage, can i consider himalayan as a replacement to my bike?
nishanth reddy Yes u can buy Himalayan. It is a lot more smoother than any RE at highway speeds and has a wonderful handling and ride quality package. FE is about the same as TB 500 though
They still missed the closest rival... Honda 250r comes very close to mahindra mojo in terms of price. Fully faired motorcycle was the only thing missing in the review.. :D
+overrdive can you please review the dissipation levels of himalaya, while test drive i felt that its dissipating too much heat to resist. infact i could feel the heat on my thighs for at-least more than 20 mins after the drive.
Hey Shumi, You mentioned KTM is launching completely new models in 2017. Is this applicable to D390 as well?? and When we can expect these 2017 models on road??
+Sujith Bhat If i was in your place i'd have bought the current one without a second thought and this is because this on going models are the most refined iterations of this platform which means it cannot get any better than it is right now. The newer one's are yet to be tested and the first and second iterations would face some minor problems and flaws. So what i say is am myself wont be waiting for another year as i'll br buying a duke 390 in a couple of months. So the current one is to go with.
Dear Overdrive, I don't understand why you are comparing three different types of bikes with each other. As u know, Duke is a street fighter n it should be compared with new pulsar Rs, Apache 200, Yamaha R15 (which u guys have already done). Next Mojo is a Tourer and it belongs to the highways, it should have been compared with RE Thunderbird, classic, Avenger, CBR250R. Finally, Himalayan is an off road motorcycle.. It was designed to b taken to places where thr r no roads.. A place of wilderness waiting for u to explore.. Does it have a rival,, no current Indian bike is present at the moment. Among these three only thing that can b compared is the price but it is not at all comparison point, coz the rider has to choose the type of bike he wishes for and then compare d bikes which are of similar type.. Pls don't miscommunicate the audience by keeping the tag line as comparative video.
Thanks for reminding me of impulse,, yea it qualifies to b an off road.. But the point I want to convey is these three bikes r miles apart n was built for v different specifications..
Overdrive, thats a very important point. Useless dealers come with us and demand don't allow me to test ride for more than 10 min. Is it because I am 20?. Are they supposed to give longer test rides?. On average how long do u think they should provide us?. I know I might not get 10-15 km, but what would be a realistic expectation? Pls reply.
+amireddy hemanth kumar I cant trust their words.Ilove rc200.every auto websites are saying the updates are coming.I doubt they are hiding it to sell the current bikes.
+Rohan D'mello Probably they are trying to compare premium bikes in the same price range. Mojo is not a complete naked street bike, I am sure you have checked the reviews.
awesome review because u used the word "RELIABILITY" himalayan got good cceleration but cant get the top end 125-130kmph is not enough when we asked the dealer he told a good performance exhaust(forgot the name)could boost topspeed close to 140 145 himalayan heats up too and breaking lacks the bite(set up for better offroading)
+Ambady Anil are you serious ??? RE bikes catching 125-130 kmph...believe me bro .I have test driven it ...its goes upto 90 kmph( speaking about himalayan) easily and it really take a lot of time to go above it...it really has very heavy and noisy gear box.. yes the meters part are really attractive ..
+Bishak bhattacharya I didnt ride a himalayan the showroom bike hasnt got the regestration but other royal enfield every bike achieves 120 classic 500 and gt could do it with ease(350 is trash) my friend on changing his exhaust and certain tuning could ride his classic 350 at 140(single ) i heard so many with the same comments u said about himalayan will you recomend for buying?( just need to know will it be a good tourer)
to be frank bro...if you can "afford" it please make a move ..but remember such bikes are worst suites for roads (suits on off -road)...if this variant is a hit then for sure hero motocops impulse 250cc will also be a major click in the market..as both are like younger and elder brother to each other...
hello overdrive, greatings from the netherlands in motorme a dutch motor tv program they told that the RE Himalayan is a little to much of a broke in pony (horse) and that is because of the crampt in exhaust port and a crampt in mufler its got to do something with small rings in the exhaust port and the gear ration was changed up zo that the himalayan will pass the european fuel emition and examination by the way if you change the gear ration of any RE than it will ride easely over 160km or 85mph at lower rpm don`t ask me what ratio i do not know that well i hope this is some usefull information for all RE riders
the mahindra mojo designers were very confused.. i dont see one part of the bike blending with another.. the bike looks like parts were salvaged from many different bikes and put together..
+Justin Titus.. really funny..but its not bikes fault its riders fault. one can die on 90cc bike as well. So always go for up to date bike but always stay on road never try to fly with bike...have safe riding :)
Himalayan has fix headlight, tyres are not meant for city roads and has grooves for offrosd and uncovered mono shock while mojo is bulky and lack sharp cornering on mountains.
Sir, its Wrong Comparision, for mojo, REH and Duke, duke is for Young Lads, who craves for Speed, Kindly reconsider before you start present in RUclips, There real bikers who are keen interest in bike reviews
Royalenfield did'nt provide an inverted telescopic suspension for the himalayan, and lol it is in category of a adventure tourer. The smaller dia telescopics tubes will damage easily in adverse conditions.
@@harikrishnankazhanikunnath2495 since when USDs are needed in adv bikes? Usd easily leak in case of a hard bump or fall , but USDs are best for fast bike as they offer better stability at high speeds

This is bad comparison. If you are comparing with Mojo Ride for 200 km on highways. As override is comparing Himalayan to others Ride with Himalayan on bad roads for 200 km. Duke is for riding on the city for 1 to 2 hours very fast. They are not comparable.
wat a comparison duke is a streetfighter /naked bike not a touring bike ktm has many of it ... cbr 250r is a good sport touring bike and has many features too .. too bad himalyan didnt get tube less tyres
Its simple... If highway is your way then Mojo is the deal coz it feels buttery smooth touring at 120kmph. But if its the city blast you're into the without a doubt Duke200. If you're into off-roading and don't mind a 90kmph touring speed then Himalayan.

+Rohan D'mello Probably they are trying to compare premium bikes in the same price range. Mojo is not a complete naked street bike, I am sure you have checked the reviews.
awesome review because u used the word "RELIABILITY"
himalayan got good cceleration but cant get the top end 125-130kmph is not enough
when we asked the dealer he told a good performance exhaust(forgot the name)could boost topspeed close to 140 145
himalayan heats up too and breaking lacks the bite(set up for better offroading)
+Bishak bhattacharya I didnt ride a himalayan the showroom bike hasnt got the regestration
but other royal enfield every bike achieves 120 classic 500 and gt could do it with ease(350 is trash)
my friend on changing his exhaust and certain tuning could ride his classic 350 at 140(single )
i heard so many with the same comments u said about himalayan
will you recomend for buying?( just need to know will it be a good tourer)
to be frank bro...if you can "afford" it please make a move ..but remember such bikes are worst suites for roads (suits on off -road)...if this variant is a hit then for sure hero motocops impulse 250cc will also be a major click in the market..as both are like younger and elder brother to each other...
yeah thanks bro
talking bout touring ...where is cbr250r man!! , overdrive is still missing a tough competitor here regarding overall package.
It's a bloody sports bike -_-!!!
+swaran joji correction- it is always touted as sports tourer!
Great review! Thanks!
Instead of ktm Duke 200....you should have chosen the Honda Cbr250.. ..its a good tourer along with mojo and Himalayan
is there any replacement tubeless for himalayan tyres??
May be... but they are coming with ABS update for sure.....
hello overdrive,
greatings from the netherlands
in motorme a dutch motor tv program they told that the RE Himalayan is a little to much of a broke in pony (horse) and that is because of the crampt in exhaust port and a crampt in mufler its got to do something with small rings in the exhaust port and the gear ration was changed up zo that the himalayan will pass the european fuel emition and examination
by the way if you change the gear ration of any RE than it will ride easely over 160km or 85mph at lower rpm
don`t ask me what ratio i do not know that
well i hope this is some usefull information
for all RE riders
the mahindra mojo designers were very confused.. i dont see one part of the bike blending with another.. the bike looks like parts were salvaged from many different bikes and put together..
Good review guys .
well done .
The Himalayan is the student who's teacher keeps telling he's parents that he's not using it's full potential.
So like every Indian student ever.
hey did I the duke 200 have heating issue with its engine. some complained so. reply soon.
yes ktm 200 have heat issue..extend your budget and get ktm duke390 it overcomes all faults of duke200 :)
Sorry bro, it's possible to take a duke390 but some who own a 390 is no more. Seems joke right ? But it's true. So my family members won't allow it.
+Justin Titus same :( i hate faimly members logic
+Justin Titus dude he is saying new duke is coming in 2017 is it right
+Justin Titus.. really funny..but its not bikes fault its riders fault. one can die on 90cc bike as well. So always go for up to date bike but always stay on road never try to fly with bike...have safe riding :)
Himalayan has fix headlight, tyres are not meant for city roads and has grooves for offrosd and uncovered mono shock while mojo is bulky and lack sharp cornering on mountains.
What about ABS ?
Mojo have 21 liter tank even faster thn both...y u didnt tell 😡😡
if r15 v2.0 reach 150 kmpl
r15 is 149 cc bike
then 200 cc segment? kmpl guys I'm asking
which bike is better engine
engine life?
brahma balu Yamaha and honda always have better engine life
R15 stock can't reach 150 , it must be a speedo error, but I'll be happy if you got any video with v box clocking over 140
So no winner?
Sir, its Wrong Comparision, for mojo, REH and Duke, duke is for Young Lads, who craves for Speed, Kindly reconsider before you start present in RUclips, There real bikers who are keen interest in bike reviews
How dare Enfield use the tag Himalayan to its brand?
Where is the Dominar....
y was apache 200 4v nt included schumi
Because as long as 200cc streetfighter is concerned... Duke200 is actually unmatched right now.
volume is too low
We want drag race between duke & himalayan
What about an offroad race with slush and steep climbs
amazing review🙌
anchor name??
mileage?
video is good, expect the comparison
why on earth are you comparing them
how can you even compare these three bikes?
All of them are of different capacities and has nothing in common
Himalayan 😍😘
Royalenfield did'nt provide an inverted telescopic suspension for the himalayan, and lol it is in category of a adventure tourer. The smaller dia telescopics tubes will damage easily in adverse conditions.
Himlayan nu inverted alla bro check specifications......
Ajay Janardhan sorry an error in typo.
@@harikrishnankazhanikunnath2495 since when USDs are needed in adv bikes? Usd easily leak in case of a hard bump or fall , but USDs are best for fast bike as they offer better stability at high speeds
@@Torquebeast650 Some of the popular adventure motorbikes from brands like Honda, Triumph, BMW uses inverted telescopic suspension to provide better durability.
when I take a test ride of more than half a km the Showroom owner calls the cops!!!
how can I take long rides???
tell him you will pay RS 200 extra if you book the bike...and tell him if you are not allowed to take long test drive then you won't book the bike.....cannt be simpler
Change the exhaust on the R.E. and you will see an improvemant instantly ..
my re performance exhaust arrives in 2 weeks
Apple (Mahindra) Orange (KTM) biscuit (RE) comparison lol
Ploft you ,😂😂😎
could have included Apache 200 also in this comparison....!!
This is bad comparison. If you are comparing with Mojo Ride for 200 km on highways. As override is comparing Himalayan to others Ride with Himalayan on bad roads for 200 km. Duke is for riding on the city for 1 to 2 hours very fast. They are not comparable.
wat a comparison duke is a streetfighter /naked bike not a touring bike ktm has many of it ... cbr 250r is a good sport touring bike and has many features too .. too bad himalyan didnt get tube less tyres
and ABS too....
I was thinking Duke but you have tell 2017 full chance. that why I am not
Je préfère la Royal Enfield dont la ligne est splendide. Si je devais m'en offrir une, ce serait celle-là.
Correction :
RE Himalayan is not air cooled , its oil cooled
My pick is Himalayan bs6😍
Only MAD guy like him can compare those three bikes.. One can compare mojo with KTM but how he can compare those two with Himalayan!!!
sameek mazumdar read the description Bro.
u have said correct arun
its better to buy cbr 250 thn mojo for touring..
Wow the KTM is the cheapest as well! I think he nearly came out saying the KTM is so much better then the others, why are you even looking at them!
Its simple... If highway is your way then Mojo is the deal coz it feels buttery smooth touring at 120kmph.
But if its the city blast you're into the without a doubt Duke200.
If you're into off-roading and don't mind a 90kmph touring speed then Himalayan.
I always thought this person looks like someone else now I have got it...............
.
.
.
.
.
.
Dhoni..he looks like MS Dhoni!!
Yeah!!!... I agree...
no
+Tarbrinder Singh he talks like him too
+monsur habib exactly even I thought same...complete personality match ;-) long lost brother in typical Indian fair
Milind Soman?
