I put together something a few days ago using Flame Swordsman as well with Infernoble. The more we move forward, the more I wish we had at least one Isolde still.
Honestly, I don’t miss Isolde. But I definitely can understand why most do. She created too many cracked situations in other decks. Thanks for your comment.
So with the ogier diabellstar combo. The end board gives reason as to.why i like to end on a 2nd charlamagne or at least dig for gearfried, with the foolish effect of anjelica. You want at least 2 cards that can send equips. 1 to send fighting flame, and the other to send fang with chain so you can still get the book as well as the fuse in the same turn. I also prefer to search flame swords dance with the fighting flame cause I'll get a 2nd book effect by summoning the flame dragon out. So you would actually have ended on 2 more interruptions had you have searched the ither trap rather than the continuous spell, that puts a body on field with no piint of interaction. The trap still puts the body on field as well as providing another interaction, and you can still send fighting flame for a negate to send flame swordsman to grave, and still get that fuse had you ended on a 2nd charlamagne or a gearfried.
I agree, Flame Swordsdance is an amazing card! In my testing I found that it would better served in a build that plays more than just one Ultimate Flame Swordsman. Thanks for the comment!
For the last combo you could use cross-sheep at the beginning, using ffs and the black witch to ultimately get Appolousa which grant you 3 monsters negate. Great video nonetheless thanks !

Might not be the best use of the Charles pop on equip and would be pretty situational, but if you needed to get Flame Swordsman into the grave for salamandra with chain effect to fusion summon into Ulti FS, you could always destroy normal FS with Charles since he can target any card on the field. You'd lose a card pop, but gain a bigger monster on your field.
Yea it’s a lot moving part when it comes to resolving card effects on your opponents turn. When playing locals with this same set up I made all the right choices. Thanks for the comment, greatly appreciated!
Is there any way for the last two combos to try and work in getting Angelica's ring? Maybe in the second to last combo instead of searching for turpin you search Roland and use ogier to equip first and ss with the field spell to make the Charles play then pitch the Roland for swordsrealm for flame swordsman play. That way Roland will be able to search Angelica's ring and equip to Charles the Great during the end phase to protect against dark ruler and super poly. I think lol. I'm trying to figure out how to get the ring in the last combo but can't figure it out.
Yea are a few ways to get the ring to Charles. Roland would be the best to facilitate. I actually side Angelica’s Ring and Roland for games I’m positive I’ll be going first. I will include the ring combo into my next video. Thanks for the comment!!
I appreciate the video, I was so lost on what to do with the deck after our goddess Isolde died. But I think flame swordsman is do fun with it and has good synergy. Great video!
Really insightful video albeit I think using courageous for the salamandra equip instead of something like durendal and the search renaud is kinda meh, I really like the ideas here! Also have you seen the other combo with diabel and swordsman going into cross-sheep, you do need an extra monster for the flame swordsrealm but I think it is a pretty good line

@@whyisit9838 Maxx C is Tough!! I could only suggest the obvious counters like Crossout, Ash, and Called By. It only takes 2 Special summons to get to Ultimate Flame Swordsman, but in order for you to legit kill them you would have to find a way to get Fighting Flame Dragon in the grave and equipped to Swordsman. Another idea: Find a way to equip Ulti. Swordsman with Noble Arms - Clarent for a one shot kill. 🗡️ 💫💥😵💫😵
Is there any reason you go for a two-card combo with flame swordsman instead of 1-card combo with just him milling the regular salamandra and adding the fusion to hand?
Can the Link Charles still pop a card if it hasn't got Synchro Charles equiped? You did it at 16:52 Not sure if you can do this as he doesn't have the copied effect anymore...

Yes. Emperor Charles gains the effect of Sync Charles. The card does not need to remain in field equipped for the ability to work.
