Uh oh! Looks like some folks took this the wrong way. In tp media, husbands do much worse to their wives and don't go out bad like this. At least charles would eventually get to live a healthy life. Mike was dying of cancer, but wouldn't have to live with it forever. The punishment is a cautionary tale that simultaneously seems rooted in misogyny

This movie was ridiculously rudimentary and unrealistic 😂 It was literally released at a time after HIV treatment was a thing, hell there were 100k walking around with it & looking perfectly healthy in Atlanta alone! So contracting HIV had Judith aging 30 yrs and limping around like Ms. Sophia on parole, but Brandy’s character didn’t age at all??? 😂 Tyler was unhinged way back then but y’all wasn’t ready to admit it 🤣

Despite her "initial reservations"... just thought I'd reiterate that. We almost ALWAYS know. That's our queue to get away before we have the chance to be love bombed, manipulated and distracted.

Great overall breakdown but i disagree at the end . The husband had flaws but under no circumstances should anyone be cheating on their spouse especially more than once. And at the end i mean she did contract a virus so it would be hard for her to be with someone else.

I agree. Judith was wrong anyway you slice it. I don't think the wrongs her man did measure up to the wrong she did to him. Yes, he could have stepped up his game but that doesn't mean walk out on your husband after cheating on him multiple times. What he was doing doesn't compare at all to what she did.

It made no sense how fast and recklessly she fell for Harley.. she was an educated woman who could've got a better paying job in a different environment.. plus her going on business trips and working one on one with Harley was bogus as hell ..yea Bryce was rigid and didn't have her back on many levels ...i agree with everything you said and enjoyed this immensely ❤

Both were wrong but bringing his wrongs up in the same space as her wrongs suggests comparison and the two do not compare at all. Its like saying i blew up his car because he keeps forgetting to bring home what im asking from the store. I know thats not what they are saying its just bringing up mistakes both of them did in the same conversation without making the distinct clarification that we are talking about two separate mistakes that do not compare suggests comparison. Though i do agree that the point of origin of judiths unraveling was her man taking her for granted. BUT all marriage counselors and people who have successful relationships know thats when you soeak up and talk your talk to your person and they should make it up and change. Not go on a cheating spree and destory the relationship the two dont compare or go together at all.

This deep dive isn’t on comparison, it’s an analysis of cause and effect. Which is why Brice’s role in the film only appears in 1/4 of this video.

He told her 10 to 15 years BUT in hindsight if she was 26 36 to 40 is still young to start a practice but i understand her disappointment

Similar deal with the family that preys. Yes, Andrea is wrong, but that was still her money and her ex had no right stealing it when it was clearly in a separate account. That never sat right with me. All the while, in diary of a mad black woman, Charles gets taken care of while, Helen's happy ending involves being the struggle bus. Even in family reunion, Carlos still has his.money after a temporary punishment of horlt grits. Smh
