This show feels like missing a long deceased friend. Miraculously, he returns from the grave and you're just overjoyed to hear his voice again. However as you see the differences in his mannerisms, you begin to suspect that they may not be not be what you thought. However, you've missed them so much that you don't want to come to terms with the fact that there's a monster masquerading as your friend.

Specifically one of the most public jedi in the Clone Wars why would you keep the facial hair that makes you easily recognizeable. Face modification tech exists and was utilized in the Clone Wars to disguise himself as a bounty hunter. Or you could literally shave your fucking facial hair, and buy actual clothes besides jedi associated garbs. But that's just a issue made before Disney bought the property. But I don't know how you can properly explain through dialogue how he knows where OBi-Wan is. If he knows that information he is a LIABILITY. Clone Wars has its own issues, but one of the best arcs in the show is Kenobi faking his death and joining a group of bounty hunters using a disguise, and seeing him subtly use the force and stay hidden creates a lot of tension. This show could actually still have its Leia plot, but instead, Bail hires a bunch of bounty hunters, and then asks Kenobi to disguise himself as a bounty hunter and also go after her, to make sure none of the other bounty hunters learn anything about Leia, while also saving her in the process

As such, membership in the senate became sought after by individuals seeking prestige and social standing, rather than actual authority. During the reigns of the first Emperors, legislative, judicial, and electoral powers were all transferred from the "Roman assemblies" to the Senate. However, since the control that the Emperor held over the senate was absolute, the Senate acted as a vehicle through which the Emperor exercised his autocratic powers. The legislative powers of the Imperial Senate were principal of a financial and an administrative nature, although the senate did retain a range of powers over the provinces. The Senate could also regulate festivals and religious cults, grant special honors, excuse an individual (usually the Emperor) from legal liability, manage temples and public games, and even enact tax laws."

He can CONFIRM that Leia is a traitor and part of the Rebel Alliance and yet he still gets critiqued by an Imperial Officer for such a brazen move.
At the point where Reva arranges her kidnapping, Leia's an innocent, 10 year old princess of a powerful and influential Alderaanian Senator, at a time when the Imperial Senate was still operating and had at least some power. (How a ship transponder is starkly different to coms I don’t know) but a genuinely stupid thing about that is that this planet is clearly in the empire it has imperial forces stationed their and apparently a fleet near by. So how in the hell is it logical or even allowed by the empire for a system they control to block all ship signals. It would make everything harder for the empire for zero gain on their part.
Tracking suspect ships, following ships fleeing to or from the system as it blocks it both ways, coordinating their own ship movements, just knowing what the hell is even going on a round the planet. A hostile force could have an entire fleet around the system and the empire never know.

Actually, no. Vader was a big secret. When he shows up in Rebels several years later, they were at a complete loss as to how to deal with him, because they just had no idea who he was. And the only one in the Empire who should know that Anakin is Vader is Palpatine and possibly Tarkin. She should have no idea about any of that.
Also, if they have actually killed the Grand Inquisitor, they just went and retconned all of Rebels for the sake of this show.

But from a story perspective i don't understand is, what were they thinking in the writers room, when they decided to "kill" him?
Everyone can look up, that the guy is still alive in Rebels, so it wouldn't mean any surprise to anyone if they bring him back later.

The thing is they did not only ignore the EU what does not surprise me since they said it does not matter. But they broke their own Canon in The Mandalorian : Dinjarin its the child of the Death Watch, who are following old mandalorian tradition, Except in The Clone Wars the Death Watch was a paramilitary organisation aka terrorist group who tried to over throw the Pacifist Government of Mandalore and not taking off their helmets aka "This is a the way" its shit was not a thing because they were removing their helmets like any other Mandalorian Clan. Not to mention in Rebels Sabine gave Bo Katan the Blacksaber withouth a fight what In The Mandalorian is not possible but only through combat to death.
More than these Favrou and Feloni are pissing on their own show too : in the episode Chapter 4: Sanctuary Cara Dune is asking Mando "what would happen if you remove your helmet ? they will come for you and kill you "? and Mando replied "No... I will never be able to put it back on" . Yeah sure. This is how well the so called "Saviours" of Star Wars treat and know their own show. She has been taken hostage by milk monsters from the planet Ahch-To and so he needs to save her. He finds an unlikely ally in Elan Sleazebaggano, who agrees to help him if he buys some death sticks.
They rescue Holdo, but she is not convinced that he is actually a junk trader, telling Watto that he is reckless and impulsive. She demotes him, even though he isn't in the military. After this, she takes a bunch of death sticks and runs away at ludicrous speed, trying to perform this mysterious manoeuvre Watto has heard so much about. Meanwhile, Darth Vader has hired the largest Bounty Hunter in the Galaxy, Jek Porkins, to hunt down Watto and get revenge for all the pod racing he had to endure on the sands of Tatooine.
Watto manages to escape with Holdo but not before Porkins has a very slow battle with him where reveals that he knows a secret... that Little Orphan Ani is actually Darth Vader.

And having the clone acknowledge who he is, but not try to raise alarm (even given the high credit wanted poster for 'Ol Ben) would be a nice nod to the clone trooper's sense of honor and the realization that enacting Order 66 was a mistake.

I disagree with Mauler's take on "I don't think you can write Obi Wan in this time period without him being somber". I'm paraphrasing there but that is the general gist of what he said. Obi Wan in the prequels and in the original Trilogy took me as someone who would be productive with his time. By that I mean he isn't the type to mope around and lose all will to continue on. At least in a spiritual sense that is. I don't buy that Obi Wan would be this mopey, this directionless mentally, this unwilling to tap into his spirit, to the point he loses his connection with the force (a really dumb concept I hate in how its portrayed).
That was the whole end of Episode 3, Yoda had sent Obi Wan with Luke for a purpose. He gave him training. I thought it was very clear to them that their future, however unclear at that time, would require their presence in some form and no matter what problems were happening in the world the answer is that they would need to stand firm on what they believed in. For them, Luke and Leia were tangible reasons for them to go on, to bide their time for when they were finally ready. This isn't how Obi Wan would act and I don't buy that in a mere 10 years from this, he would become the man we see in A New Hope.
I shouldn't be surprised but they already butchered his character. Just like they do with everyone else.

Okay, am I missing something, or is it a complete coincidence that the inquisitors - including Reva who has a special interest in Kenobi - were on Tatooine just a day or two before Reva enacted this plan to draw him out? As far as I could tell, the inquisitors didn’t actually suspect that Kenobi was on Tatooine or anything; it would seriously compromise A New Hope if they did. But I also feel like I have to be missing something important, because that’s actually insane if Reva was in Kenobi’s exact proximity (out of anywhere in the galaxy) by sheer chance. Someone please tell me I’m confused here, I’m begging you.

It is just really bad writing, shoehorning a narrative at it`s worst, they could have been anywhere in the galaxy it is the Grand Inquisitor scolding her that makes her refocus on Kenobi not her thinking he is on Tatooine.........that said they had to put it on Tatooine so that she can connect all the dots and find Luke there which she will do by the series end, so no ya not mad it is just the stupendously low quality of well everything across the board nowadays but particularly it is bereft of talent writing.

The entire 'cutting yourself off from the Force' thing has really been watered down by Disney. From what I recall, it's supposed to be this really traumatic thing in and of itself to have that connection severed, not unlike losing a limb or a sense. Back in Legends, the protagonist in Kotor II was special for having cut him/herself off in order to not go insane or die from the backlash of being close to a planet being destroyed along with thousands of friends and comrades. Under most circumstances, no Jedi would deliberately do that to themselves just because they're sad, in fact the connection to the universe around them would be a comforting thing.
However, the way it's being portrayed now it's like suffering trauma _and then_ cutting yourself off afterwards, as if pouring salt on the wound.

It just blows my mind how they have nerfed obiwan. Human history is full of religious folks who have had their religion decimated while they survived. Folks have still carried on, believing in the “will of god” that this was part of the plan. Those same ppl would have been sad about losing a friend in the persecution. But not abandoned their beliefs. This shows what a lack of even the desire to try to be creative by Disney. It’s easier to just give him the Jake treatment. Instead of having him learning to use the force in subtle ways or last case scenario, we have him not even remember he has it.

I think a new annoyance for me is how they managed to make Leia seem so 'wise' and then so dumb at the same time. She was able to basically read her cousin's mind and school him one second, but the next she doesn't understand why Obi-wan can't use his lightsaber _in public_ and make her float _in public,_ as if she doesn't know about the whole Jedi-being-branded-as-criminals-by-the-Empire thing that's WIDELY WELL-KNOWN AFTER 10 YEARS, and then she just assumes he's a bad guy because all the other bad guys around them get a ping to hunt him down? Like I'm sorry, I thought she was supposed to be smart? You know, get a feel for people without really having to talk to them and make them cry from it? Another writing issue is regarding Reva referencing Vader as Anakin: publicly, Vader is someone entirely different from Anakin, who died in Operation Knightfall as a hero of the Republic. The only people who know Vader is Anakin are Grand Moff Tarkin, Palpatine, and the rare higher-up in the Empire. Even Thrawn had to have it revealed to him by Palpatine shortly before his promotion to Grand Admiral. If it were public knowledge that Darth Vader was Anakin Skywalker, it would be a nightmare of imagery. They went to great lengths to keep it secret, so why tf would she know
