500cc twins. Exciting! Great racing Mike, requires making the most of your race craft skills with the bikes being so evenly matched. Late braking, carrying the corner speed, slipstreaming, everything counts.
That was highly entertaining, and I admire the levels of commitment, I hope I can aspire to those levels as I get older......shame about the outcome, but you'd show up many a rider even on a cb500, can clearly see your racing experience. Top stuff:)
I could see when something unexpected happens out of the rider's control on that part of the track that could be the result. I wouldn't fault any of the riders.
It happens when you're riding so close, and the evenly matched, low power of these bikes means that slipstreaming is such an important part of being able to overtake.

Fantastic racing and momentum, the CB500 series is brilliant to watch

Brilliant ride once you are in the top six it’s very hard to pass great video 👍🏻
I would have been good to finish the first race, but it's going to happen when you have to use slipstream to maximise the overtaking opportunities.
I'm glad everyone was OK. I know that's racing. But shame for all involved.
Everyone was fixed up and back out for race 2 next day.
We’re the other lads ok Mike ?
Oh yes. Everyone was back out for race two.
Did the CDI fail?
No, it was the on/off kill switch seemed to be dodgy. Bloody thing fired up when we brought it back to the paddock. Swapped it for a R6 light switch.
How many bikes are mechanically equal?
To be honest any who is cheating sticks out like a sore thumb, the vast majority of the field are more or less the same.

500cc twins. Boring.
So you didn't watch till the end then? My afternoon ended up far from boring...
@@MikeSpikeEdwards Those bikes are boring. At least use 500cc 4 cyl bikes.
It's all about fun - and variety, sometimes a change is as good as a rest: ruclips.net/video/7lzjydTW3y0/видео.html
I couldn't disagree more! When everybody's on 50 bhp it makes it far more interesting !! Good on the brakes Mike !!
@@grabir01i think Mike might be “slightly” better qualified than you to decide what is fun and exciting
