I would not describe it as an ideology as it is fact that hip hop celebrates black culture to the fullest but yet invites people of different races to be involved. To be in hip hop you first have to pay black culture it’s rightful due. You cannot just come in and dismiss years of hardship and the very reasons why black children turned to turntables and sampling machines to get musically creative. In the days of the greats like Temptations,
Motown and the upcoming of Michael Jackson white America did everything it could to deprive black schools of music classes and instruments. Hip hop is a miracle born, a ghetto rose that was planted by black hands for the children of the struggle, but if you want to get down you have to at least acknowledge and respect this

I remember on Behind the Music, he said that Suge Knight threatened him and then they showed another interview where Rob (Vanilla Ice) was kissing Suge's ass and changing his story. I also recall on MTV's 25 Lame countdown, Rob said that he was sick of "Ice Ice Baby" but yet he loves to talk about it and even made a metal version of it earlier.
