The issue was when Kramer landed the truck on the second day against Hot Stuff, he landed so hard that the tire actually came back into the firewall and knocked off the power steering filter. I believe #7 needed stiffer front springs and possibly different valving in the front ladder bars that acted like shock absorbers.
Ford sponsored the series and every competitor had to have the series sponsors on their vehicles. I had to have a Chevrolet logo on my vehicle because they sponsored the series even though I ran a Mopar and had a sponsorship deal from the local Dodge dealer, I put the logos inside the wheel well (still visible but not prominent).
The good old days when Anheuser Busch would sponsor these events, I always enjoyed the giant six pack of beer on the sled
Taking me back to being 8 years old. I'm sitting on the living room floor with my legos, watching this with my dad.
Would love to see someone restore the orange blossom special tank
same ^^
Interesting how the elevated area on the monster truck track would become the mud pits the following afternoon.
RIP Allen Gaines
The night when the steering issues began in #7, and then blew out the next day. What a wild night.

The smoke during this day's race with #7 was from a transmission overheat. The transmission puked fluid out of the front pump seal onto the headers.
First 👍's up PRR thanks again for taking the time for us all to be with you for the great show
Miss the tank battles and then tank vs tire trucks
