Group work is atrocious The INTJ (quietly screaming inside their head) *I can’t do this anymore. I would rather write the others’ essays only to be spared* 😄
Some ways I picked up include: remembering all the key terms cuz you can usually find an answer choice that includes one, don't be bogged down on a single question cuz if the time you spend on that one prevents you from reading other questions then you missed more points. Read the question multiple times until you understand the question, or flag it for later if the question itself is hard to understand.
MBTI tests are so hard. I always test INTP or INTJ. The issue is that my answer depends on the situation and there's too many nuances involved for me to accurately answer the question.
Same here. It's like they leave too much to interpretation and there are too many circumstantial variables. Example: "Would you rather go to a party, or read a book?" Well, after an entire week of solitude, getting around some friends for social interaction sounds good. Spending hours meeting strangers doesn't sound so attractive, but may be better than a poorly written book. I tend to read into every question that way.
@@stello61 I agree. I always test INTJ and I feel the profile describes me to a T, however I always find that answering the questions require a ton of thought. That may be part of being an INTJ (the need to analyze everything). I assumed that is what the OP, Odd Sarah, was experiencing. I also think that INTJ's frequently shape shift, or "chameleon" for social adaptability reasons, which adds to the confusion when taking the test. Thanks for the reply. Stay well.
@@stello61 It's not necessarily an evil thing, it's just that as a misunderstood personality, that thinks in an abstract manor, we learn to fit in socially. The Ni and Te probably allow us to see from other peoples perspective while being technically introverted. Necessity is the mother of invention. I think that most INTJ's are virtuous and smart enough keep this ability in check. We value ethics over our personal feelings but in a logical way. We don't like chaos. I have become extroverted, spontaneous, and charismatic to achieve a goal but that is not my default setting. I prefer not to be in a leadership position for very long. I feel like it interferes with my mental processes and derails my plans. It is this ability that makes it even more difficult for others to type an INTJ. We may have a well adapted persona that doesn't come off as INTJ to others.
Let me tell you something, immature INTJ is NOT someone you want to have around. I was somewhat smart during my school years, but not smart enough to see that what I said ( even when it's true ) is not something people want to hear. I criticize people around me to an ugly extent, thinking I was helping them by telling their unfavorable traits hoping they would change. Clearly, not many people stand being around the 13 year old me.
Turbulent or mature INTJ, 2+3 always make 5 regardless of people’s feelings. (I don’t like maths because their premises are wrong). You don’t want to use the maths paradigm? Wanna be softy- touchy- feely? Fine by me, but I’m not going to invest emotionally in an interaction with someone who has the EQ and sophistication of emotional experience and expression of a plastic duck.
All very on point. I’ve worked on the feelings element and I’ve worked on the process part of the experience & journey. I’ve made substantial improvements to myself over the years.
I did a myers brigg personality test. And I got INTJ. I did research on INTJ and it seems like intj are described as very intelligent, they like complex materials. Although I am like that, but I still doubt myself that it is not enough. I did the test again and I got INTJ again. I did it thrice and got INTJ. I hate learning math. I actually understand math, but My brains runs so slowly. But I am very good at science. I don't really feel emotion. I believe I am logical but I still doubt that much is not enough. I am very introvert. Am I really INTJ? Actually I hope it is not.
Sonam Wangmo WELCOME TO THE CLUB! INTJ’s are not all cookie cutter. Our brains are just built to be highly effective thinking machines. We are not all good with math, we are not all good with other stuff. All that matters is how our thinking engine runs. That is how we are the same. We process patterns like no other, we can predict what might happen in the future by logical means. Actions and reactions. Just remember, MBTI is not an exact science. We are not emotionless robots. We just do not show it externally.
Sonam Wangmo just say that it has given a basic outline of how you might think and react. And use that information to your personal use however you see fit.
Sonam Wangmo INTJ’s are one of the best at seeing other peoples point of view. I have seen the example that we are like ditto’s. We use what we learn and copy the pattern. Our brains are the things that get changed
Not everything it says will suit you 100%, as for myself I don't have a cold stare as I'm more emotional or empathetic than the typical INTJ; plus I'm not that good at chess because I have bad memory lol. I also have the same problem with being SLOW, it mostly happends when I feel challenged, I get nervous and I get blocked, I still like math and I'm really good at it, but I don't think I will never be able to go to a contest.
I’m an INTJ... and this is right on the money. My job is not structured and I’m in hell. I’m currently working on my resumes so that I can leave. My RN supervisor is a flighty Gemini and she’s so spacey, thinks she’s organized but she’s a hot mess. HELP! lol
The INTJ does not do well in group learning situations because they are invariably the smartest person in the group. They don't enjoy being dragged down by everyone else. If you don't believe me, ask any INTJ! 😂
Is there a way to PM this channel? I am an INTJ, enneagram 5. Test taking is so hard for me because, especially with the SAT/ACT multiple choice format, the answers feel random and uninformed. When I get them wrong it's always a really stupid technicality and I get angry about the entire education system, feeling like I can't succeed because my brain is crafted differently than that of those who create the testing system. Thus, I have a difficult time knowing how to study well because I don't know what the test creator is looking for since the goal seems to be to trip people up with stupid details that don't matter instead of just allowing us to just get an answer correct or incorrect. Help?
I was a horrible test taker in regards to the SAT/ACT. College was dreadful because I didn't know how to learn and I was poorly organized. Now, I'm really have a better understanding of how I learn
Incorporating the mental process of the person creating the test is just another skill we have to learn and factor into the academic test-taking process.
Do other INTJs have problem learning upper level math by rote? Don't tell me to do it just because. tell me what I can do with it and why. I was bored in school because I was 2-3 steps ahead of everyone else.
I didn't understand Fluids well until I took Boundary Layer Theory. It was a similar experience with the divergence theorem. My math professors may have understood the process of solving problems. However, they didn't have a strong grasp for application.
Yes. I struggled with high level maths because it was pure theory. I cruised through physics however, in physics they describe the interaction and then teach you the maths that describe it. Clear applications are so much easier to understand.
Fairly accurate. About the teacher- he/she MUST be very competent. Organised, yes, but only to a certain extent; I dread a rigid structure that doesn’t allow any other structure that is better. Tests… too many times my brain froze because the given answers were either both accurate to a certain degree or not as accurate enough and there were no other options (and I had to figure out which one made more sense to the one marking the test). A nightmare.
I was a Industrial Electrician Leadman, and had a tendency to run over people if they failed to take charge. Hated when bosses would ramble on and on when asked questions. I would ask them to be consise and to the point with their answers to my questions, unless they wanted more questions. lol
The line between T and F is thin in me, so I jump in whichever mode is needed. For efficiency sake 😉 which betrays that most of the time T is my preferred over F.
Intj here. I have to know why/ how something works to understand it. If there are many questions from me it’s because I’m generally interested and or the person trying to teach isn’t doing a good job of teaching
@@noamanpatel3784 good question ik how that feels. I think I eventually just stopped thinking that i was bad at learning. It may be as simple as that, not sure. Might need verification somehow? Or see it as unconfidence and have to eliminate that distraction.

We are self-motivated and self-regulated learners. The downside is it is hard to work in groups🤢

Agree with most of this except the assessment part. I have taught myself how to conquer tests pretty efficiently too. It’s all about exam skills.
