@@denisesase Thank you D! Both of them have nicely fragrant quite large blooms 😀 let's now get them to rebloom next season. That will be the trickiest part! But still quite fun to try to achieve
Nice video! I enjoyed seeing your dendrobiums. I might get a nobile sometime if I can find the space. I really like the blooms! Most of my orchids are smaller so they will fit into my grow space during the long Nebraska winters.
@@josejkoonthanam I don't think I am either but hopefully it'll give dome results onebway or the other one day. Trying out new methods is a bit what this channels all anout in a way. Thank's for watching J
Hi Karin. My Den nobile are just starting to open their blooms. I only have two but both have grown into monsters, about 60+cm tall. One is my favourite because it won first prize a few times at our society shows many years ago. At least 20 years or more, so she's an old girl by now, or maybe even a keiki of the original plant, I can't remember. Thanks for sharing some interesting points on species vs hybrids, always good to know.
@@renatecormick7399 thank you for your positive feedback! 🥰🥰 20 year old! Nice thong to have in ones collection! I wish I could bloom them well here but guess the lack fluctuation in temp between day/night makes it harder but we'll see! Congrats for such a plant R!
I’m in Brisbane, semi tropical climate. Our winter nights get to 7 deg C & Den.nobile types flourish here. The species flower is purple, white & very droopy looking. The plant grows larger than hybrids, so I have to hang them. I give mine 8 weeks dry rest with higher light as they come from deciduous forests. I don’t like shriveled canes so just give a drizzle of water once a week during rest period. They are all in bud now as we approach Spring.
@@roslynbarclay1000 So very different conditions! Here its late summer and I'm still wearing sandals 😅 my species is about 5 years old so I guess mine is a very tiny one then 😀 Well thank's for the advice and all 💝
Nice blooms 🙂

@@lindaannb You should do that! Smart way of thinking not getting large typer ones to fit your space. 🥰
Thanks Karin

unfortunately, that type of dendrobium can't survive with me, it's too
@@marijazuro6911 Hmm ,, well mine might survive but I doubt there will be any blooms next season though 😆
