- In this video we are on a fieldtrip to a new construction home in Lynchburg Virginia. (Remember those school fieldtrips?!) We'll also tour some existing homes and look at recent sales and numbers. Yes...technically we aren't inside the city limits of Lynchburg VA in this video. We are just across the James River in Amherst County and the Madison Heights area.
It's a quiet area with nice homes. Five minutes from grocery shopping and gas. (Sheetz, Walmart, Food Lion) Only 20 minutes from downtown Lynchburg. And close to golfing too. This could be an option for you, if you're moving to, in, or aroundn the Lynchburg Virginia area, but you don't want to be in the city proper.

Hi! How’s the smoke from the fires in Lynchburg?
You could definitely smell it this morning. And see smoke. It got better throughout the day. I think we have about a week to go before we see it ease up for good.
I’m not anywhere close to selling or buying a house but I live in Lynchburg and I really enjoy your posts. As for the pizza question, if I’m paying I want Little Caesars because it’s cheaper and almost as tasty as Pizza Hut. If it’s free then Pizza Hut Meatlovers is my choice.
I hear you! I would actually eat any one of them. But the only one I really get an itch for…and I say, “Hmmm. I could really eat some…” Is Pizza Hut. 😉

Papa John Italian sausage is quite tasty.
But though the favor has changed, due to MSG ban, it is still the overall best "chain" pizza restaurant imo.
Best thing about Papa Johns for me is dipping it in the garlic sauce.
Does Benny's count as a chain? Love going there when I'm by one
It probably does. 🤔 Technically. There’s more than one. But it’s not a nationwide chain. 😉 I find it to be hit or miss when I go.
@@Living-In-Lynchburg-Virginia ha maybe I don't try as often. They closed the one in Morgantown. I often go to Pittsburgh or Harrisonburg. Getting out to Lynchburg this summer, I'll try it there
Question. I’m 25 and moving here for a job and looking to rent( apartments), where would you recommend? I’ve been told that 24502 zip code area is the best, any thoughts on that? I know that apartments may not be part of your real estate job, but I just need some genuine advice from someone who really knows the area.

@@Living-In-Lynchburg-Virginia yes very much so. We put a bid last week on a really great deal in Alta Vista for 249,900 I almost got the home and someone came in with cash and no inspection. Probably an investor. It’s hard to compete with a cash offer with no inspection. I will keep trying. There’s one out there for us.

Looks like a nice neighborhood and the price is right but man that layout is terrible…. Seems like they could have made much better use of it. And it all starts with the stupid closet/unplumbed bathroom lol.
