I'm getting ready to do venetian plaster with artwork on my livingroom walls. I've watched lots of videos but yours are the most thorough and entertaining. Yea I've done plaster stenciling but not venetian plaster before so this will probably be trip of a learning experience. Lol I'm gonna practice a little bit on some sample boards then go for it. 😂 Wish me luck with veneziano venetian plaster products.
Do you guys have any experience with Vasari?? If so what is your opinion? I’m curious to know if Firenze or San Marco is a better product/easier to use. Thanks!
I don't have any experience with Vasari, unfortunately. Firenzecolor sells the Novacolor line of products. Novacolor and San Marco are both under the same San Marco Group company, so both products are going to be good products. Novacolor tends to be more high-end, and I find it easier to apply. So for that, we love getting our plaster from Frienzecolor. If you'd like to try it out, you can use AFIA10 to get 10% off at Frienzecolor.
Hi there I'd like to know, can I use copper or any paint with Venetian Plaster on a same wall. For example: if I apply industrial Venetian Plaster on wall and later on top of plaster, I apply copper or metallic paint to give exotic wall look. Can I do that ?
If you'd like to do a metallic or copper look, you can use a verity of products to do that. Some people will apply a courser plaster and wash over that with a metallic plaster. You can however just use the metallic plaster from the beginning if you know that's what you want. You can check out some product here - bit.ly/metallic-plasters Another option would be to an oxidizer product that mimics the look of rust which might be more in line with the copper look. You can find that at Frienzecolor as well. Feel free to use our code AFIA10 for 10% off if you decide to purchase through Frienzecolor.
Excellent info! Thank you

Super helpful! Thanks.
Glad it was helpful.
Ps. Mixing my own plaster and adding my own colors. Should be really interesting.
