I hope Nikki keeps the jazz from her early days as part of her repertoire, but--I will keep listening to her no matter what genre she chooses. The gal is one of those very few singers who absolutely NAIL notes no matter the interval, with _power_. When you can do that consistently, it trumps just about anything, in my opinion. And if it is jazz, that's just icing on the cake for this fan.
