Looking forward to the '22 interior. I don't have that ridiculous brand loyalty that some people have with vehicles, but the one thing that held me back from getting a Chevy was the interior. Seats seemed ok, but the dash and the infotainment were basically a joke. Looked the same as a new Chevy did around 2007. The exterior styling and 6.2 engine were awesome. Unfortunately the part that you always have to look at was drab.
Man.....I just bought a 21 black at4 and currently blacking it out then I see this...guess I’ll be ordering this truck now and trade mine in. This truck looks bad ass!
Chevy/GM is the best bang for the buck. I decided to try something new and went with a dodge/ram, and for the price I was disappointed. No running boards on a vehicle that cost over 60k, no bed liner, no keyless entry, no remote start, no step for the truck bed, no sunroof, and at least Chevy put the 20's plus on the vehicles also no warning systems. Yep I messed up, the new car smell clouded my vision and took me to signing but when they started showing me the features I was so disappointed. I didn't buy a Chevy this time because I didn't want to put such a nice looking truck to work and everywhere I look Chevy is all over the place. Chevy trucks look more and more like some type of luxury sport vehicle. Imo. It's ok I'm going to make the Ram that I bought , the truck I want it to be. Don't get me wrong, the Ram isn't a bad looking vehicle by any means, it's just lacking features for the price.
Absolutely a good thing. It never fails that when one of these blows up before 10k miles, it’s always the AFM system that does it. Blessing I disguise for people that buy these
Agreed, exterior is 100% perfect, just wished Chevy would've left the exterior alone, and just Gave it the new interior. The new exterior looks too generic now, and blends in with the rest. These current ones though stand out for sure.
Yes and no. The new Tundra interior is better than the current Silverado, yes. But there's a new Silverado with an all new interior just around the corner as well. Once the new Tundra is available, so will the refreshed Silverado I'd say. I personally think the Refreshed Silverado interior overall is better than the New Tundra's interior, definitely from looks point of view atleast.
@@lesterparker1594 In terms of the amount of premium material used, the RAM is still best, and probably will be for a while. In terms of overall cabin design and looks, for me personally it's between the RAM and Silverado. To also add, the RAM interior is definitely a bit over the top. The Silverado has a great balance between a premium interior, while not being well over done. For being a truck, it doesn't need to be RAM Level to be premium and luxury. That simply to me is a bit over kill, especially in this context.
@@dallasfrost1996 just depends on what you want. If you want luxury, go ram. If you want a good mix go GM. If you want reliability, go tundra or f150. I like to drive vehicles for 10+ years and I’ve always had good luck with Ford. I’ve seen too many stories of GMs active fuel management system blowing up engines. I live in the south where it gets 100+ degrees for months on end. I’ve seen a bunch of GM dashes crack. Sure, you u might get one with no issues. But you also might get one of the many that has problems. Less of a chance of getting a turd with Toyota and ford trucks
@@lesterparker1594 That can be debatable. The same can be applied to Ford if talking about issues. Personal experience will be completely different from other's. There's nothing wrong with that, some of us get lucky while others not so much. Being aware of the times we're living in, everyone's trying to cheapen out on everything as much as possible. Even Ford. Put that along side the current pandemic, and thats an outcome of what will most likely be a disaster if to be coming out of the big 3. Ford recently has also dropped the ball in areas like reliability, I've seen a fair few negative points about them all over many forums as of recently. The big 3 for the past who knows what, have simply been dropping in quality. There's no denying that either, It's sadly the truth. The trucks of the 80's will outlast almost any truck on the market today. Back then, they made things that would last the test of time, made things that would last years on end. Nowadays a large percentage of people in the automotive market seem to not hold on to the same vehicle for very long. Reason why shouldn't be too hard to figure out, for one, the vehicles simply don't last. Alternatively, Toyota on the other hand is well known for reliability, and has held that reputation high for some years now. The big 3 especially as of right now, aren't doing so very well.
Great Review! Wondering if the lack of extra tech actually saved money on the overall price of the vehicle? I assume the 360 camera wasn’t going to be part of the RST package though 🤔
I'm Brazilian and I'm passionate about these cars from there. Big cars here are Hilux and S10, Frontier and Ranger. For me they are very dull, and the people here do not know what is real car, without mentioning the very high taxes, making car be luxury, Even the simplest for you.
Why is the infotainment system so small? That 4 inch should be on the less expensive models. The inside just looks cheap to me. Dodge and ford is way ahead of GMC/Chevy
Meh. I paid $49,000 (MSRP $57,000) for a Laramie 1500 Night Edition with twice the features, sound, comfort, style, luxury, and suspension with only 25 less HP and 6 more MPG's. Chevy has fallen off.
It’s just an opinion, but I just don’t like the look of these new ones. I prefer the square body from back in the day. It’s the only truck that I like the old ones better than the new ones.

Nice exterior. However, the interior is very outdated and plasticky even with a redesign from 2019. Chevy’s interiors can’t light a candle to RAM 1500 Interiors.
That's why for 2022, there's an all new interior. It's still not RAM Level in terms of the amount of premium material used. But the RAM to me does feel a little over the top. None the less, the Refreshed Silverado will finally have a decent interior to compete. Quite frankly, that new interior is just right, premium but not too over done, especially for being a truck.
Love the exterior. The 22 is gonna be a beast with the updated interior.
