    One question: how about the durability of aluula... There are a lot of "second hand" sale pictures where the material is cracked.

      Yes, I’ve seen that as well. I had the kites for 3 months and no problem. So, I cannot say something about the long use.

      @@Surf_Life i also saw your video about folding your aluula kites. Im not buying new gear every year. Durability is a key aspect then. No brand is giving a long term warranty on aluula. Thats why when your not a (sponsored) pro should not invest in a aluula kite in my opinion.

      I agree with the advantages Marcel describes. I have had an OR Flite for 3 yeqrs in 12m and I just bought a Pivot Nvision 9. Both kites are extremely stable and they fly much further forward in the wind window. Much easier to manage low and overoowered conditions. I ride only strapless surfboards in waves and windswell and backside riding is at another level with these kites. You just don't drop off the wave. I have had no issues with my OR Allula but I take good care of them. Sunlight seems to be the issue so I pack up quickly when done riding. You need a good pump since I put 12 psi in them.

      @@globaltb6676 ahh, interesting feedback, 🙏🏽🤙🏾. What would you say after 3 year, what is the most important care advice? 😊

      I am storing them quickly when done, so less sun exposure. Fresh water rinse after Ocean riding. I don't close the strut valves since i had several kites fail them (Dacron ones) so just want to avoid. 😎

    So, how was your experience with the nVision Pivot? Do you have much time on the Dacron version to make a comparison ?

    • @Surf_Life
      @Surf_Life  3 месяца назад

      Yes🤙🏾… I have a Dacron Pivot in 10 and 7 and tested the NVISION in 12 and 8. Does the Aluula has a higher performance? Yes! Does Aluula changes a beginner into an expert? No!😅 If you compare it with cars, you could say: An Aluula Kite is the Porsche and the Dacron is the VW 😅. An average driver drives both cars in the same way but a professional driver will get much more performance from the Porsche. And now back to kites: I‘d say Aluula kites are suitable for you if you have big ambitions or kitesurfing is very important for you. Does that helps you?

      Thanks. Good input. Some extra wind range, especially low wind, is a nice benefit for sure.

    Let’s be honest for you average rider, unless you are in the top 2% of riders trying double, s and triple loops a kite from 3 even 5 years ago will be perform perfectly and you will be able to progress at a high rate if you have the skill. For year it was just bridle tweaks, smaller leading edges, tiny sail shape changes giving the kites a different feeling.
    Unless it makes the kite bomb proof and last 10 years looking and feeling new I don’t think it’s worth the insane price increases that come along with all this new tech for your average or even a good rider
