It's always nice to see two dad's talk so kindly and lovingly about their kids. My dad and I don't have a good relationship and it's tough remembering that a lot of people have had the same or worse experience as me. It's good to know that you guys are good family oriented gentlemen. Your kids are so so so lucky.
Hugs to you both. I had a rough early childhood with my dad, to the extent of going to a foster home for a year. As an adult, my dad and I where able to build the relationship I wish we could have had when I was a kid.
Oh, you KNOW that if Skizz brings a tattoo artist to the podcast Impulse isn't walking away without getting inked! I'll admit that my eyes glazed over for a while during the football talk. At least until Impulse forgot that he was recording a podcast and not just catching up with his buddy. Thanks for the episode guys
Don't change the clock battery! Use it as an indicator for each ep and then once you move up a new hour hand, call it a new season of imp and skizz! 60 episode seasons is pretty good! It's almost poetic too.. the clock being frozen is like time stands still during the imp and skizz podcast.
I’m crying listening to you guys talk about being dads - especially the Lulu story - because some of us are 20-25, and wish our dads cared even half the percentage about us that you do about your kids. What a beautiful life, family, and love.
Love, luv the tattoo skizz! Got my first tattoo at 57. my mother had died the year before, so on her next birthday, I got a dragonfly with 'serenity' above it. It was her favorite saying
Welcome to "A Week In The Life!" Today, we're going to feature nostalgia, wife swapping, and what line Impulse WON'T cross!!! Tune in NOW to The Imp and Skizz Podcast!!!
It’s wonderful to see how much you guys love your kids. My father died two weeks ago, after being an absentee father my whole life. They say you can’t miss what you never had, but hogwash. Watching my husband with our kids, hearing other dads talk about their kids like you guys, yeah. You guys are good human beings, keep it up
Sympathy. 😢 My father passed this year, also. I hadn’t seen him in years, but I do miss knowing he was somewhere in the world. It’s like a connection broke. I’m lucky, though. I’m “a sensitive”. My father was a physicist, and I happen to know he’s now adventuring, finding out the true speed of light, checking out the great pyramids in Egypt, Mars, outer planets (yep, more than that big one the scientists have postulated)….lol! Dude’s *busy*. I can’t be sad. Makes the rest of my fam look at me funny. 😂
I love when you tell stories about your guys’ children. You keep your lives private, but also lighten us a bit on what happening. Also congrats on your son getting into ASU, Impy. My brother got in and is also a freshman there.
Great podcast. Skizz, so sorry for the loss of your pets. You did the right thing in regards to your dog, it would not have rehomed well, too risky. Pet ownership is so rewarding but sometimes heartbreaking. Keep the clock as it is, great idea. Thanks for sharing your week with us.
Holy shit Skizz, I can't imaging coming home to that. I know it was hard to put the dog down, but you made the right choice. Sorry you went through that!
As someone who has stayed in dorms, i definitely would have been confused if someone wanted to pick a argument over which side of the room they wanted. Like i would not have understood. But thats insane to be so prepared as to have a gameplan for every aspect of the room 😅😅 i would gladly move my small possessions if you guys went to that level of preparation
18:00 Absolute chills at this story of your son coming out of his shell. It makes me both scared and excited for my own son who just started high school - he'll be off on his own in a few years and, while I obviously worry about him, I am excited to see the man he becomes
Just turned the podcast on while taking care of my baby cousin, she quickly looked at my phone screen and smiled so big looking at Imp and Skizz! It was so adorable!
You know, I thought that Easter Egg with the clock was intentional, but didn't realize what it was for until you pointed it out. I love things like that, super clever
For Impulses son, I had the EXACT same story. I’m a senior at MTSU, tiny dorm 10x15 ft, shared bathroom between 4 dorms, Last year, My roommate and me didn’t get along, I got up late and she got up early, or I’d go to bed early and she’d go to bed late. Safe to say I got a private room this year. The best advice I have is have a “safe word” for the roommates to know if one or the other is uncomfortable with the other. It gives the other a warning if things are going south. Also congrats skizz on the tattoo! I can’t wait to get more of mine!
Definitely investigate what the guidelines are for tattooing. I have a friend who was a tattoo artist. Unfortunately, due to Covid his shop ended up closing. When we asked if that meant he'd be doing tattoos from home until he found a new shop, he said he could risk losing his license. Shops have specific health guidelines they need to follow to avoid infections and transferring diseases from customer to customer. You can't guarantee the same safety levels from home.
Wow. This is the second time I’ve teared up from one of your podcasts. The wholesomeness of stories and caring for your pets and kids is so sweet. You guys are just the greatest people at heart ❤. (And keep the clock ^^)
(Listened to audio first, now back for the video!) Love the podcast! First of all, I'd say keep the clock as-is, no battery. That's a fun Easter Egg! But also, as far as college -- my move-in days were vastly different. We had to park wherever we could (some people just pulled up on the grass outside the dorms) and haul all of our stuff in ourselves! No carts, no staff members helping, nothing. And there weren't any assigned beds or desks, you just had to sort it out with your roommate when you got there. Fun times!
And now there is an official Imp and Skizz fandom litmus test....I guess I'm a hardcore fan because I just happily and enjoyably listened to you talk about fantasy football with no urge to skip or swipe. 😂
I started out my second year of college packing while listening to the first episodes of your podcast. Back then I was afraid of what was to come after the struggles I ran into during my first year away from home. Here I am, yet again, packing for college listening to you guys going off as a new person, and part of that definitely has to be from the many hours I have spent enjoying your stories and advice. (PS- my fish are named Imp and Skizz)
The pain releases endorfins, which are mildly 'euphoric', the longer the pain lasts, the more endorphins released. This creates the effect of being able to endure even higher levels of pain that actually makes you feel better.
My vote is that the Clock gets progressively larger until it starts to take up significant amounts of the frame. These podcasts are always so amazing and I can't even believe its been over a year. It feels like its been just a few weeks. But that's everything you guys do. 4 hour streams feel like 30 minutes cause of how much fun they are. Keep up the good work homie buddehs.
As someone who’s likely going to college across the country next year (and is pretty nervous about it) it’s really nice hearing you talk about your kids going to college, if a little bittersweet
You are going to do great! Being nervous about such a big change just shows your maturity level and that you are taking it seriously. Just dropped my oldest off and he was nervous, too. Just take it one decision at a time, day by day. You’ll be amazing!
Every week, I am so excited to watch the show, and every week, my number of favorite Imp and Skizz podcasts gets bigger. Another great adventure you two are the top!😊
Loved the Podcast. Love how y’all just tell your own stories. It makes everything relatable. In regards to the clock, on an ipad i could see the clock, but the hands were pretty much invisible, so I could not tell that it was not moving. I say leave the batteries out, and use it as a counter.
I love these chatty podcasts, it’s fun sometimes just to chill and laugh alongside you both! And welcome to the world of tattoos of Skizz! The wrist and near inner elbow can feel very spicy, so well done sitting it out as the first one
I recently moved into my college dorm, too, and it's been interesting to get used to it. Living with other people definitely make you more cautious about the other people living with you. I'm glad that I’m rooming with people that I know. Rooming with strangers would’ve made moving in a lot tougher to get used to. Hope your son's adjusting well Impulse :)
His roommate knew what he was doing, like moving your things is that hard (not at all). He just thought he'd get choice of what he wanted from being there first.
I loved this episode! I mean, I love all of them, but watching you guys just hang out and chat about your week is so fun 😊 Plus, I love the clock idea, please never put batteries in it!
Funny enough, as a dad with quite a few tattoos, I love the tattoo stories. I always find it funny when you get the generic "did that hurt?" questions. Like, "duh!", they are permanently marking your body with needles. But, do agree there are some VERY sensitive areas and others that you hardly notice. Looks great though! And, Women are absolutes monsters when it comes to pain tolerance. My wife will complain for hours if it is too hot or cold, but she also having several tattoos and never flinched at all at any of them. lol
I like the idea of the clock being indicative of the episode, for those who can see the clock (visually impaired). It would be cool if the "seasons" were 60 episodes long so the hour hand can show the "season" number too.
Skizz, how exciting for your first tattoo buddy 🤗 I love mine (one of the best things I did for myself) I really enjoyed hearing the experience your daughter had with her college and roommates. The one who organised a portrait for them all sounds so amazing. What a lovely gesture ☺️
You should totally do the tattoo on the pod! The yard (another podcast) did it, but they went to a studio to do it and brought microphones for everyone. They also did a full body wax during an episode, but I don't think you would want to do that.
Keep the batteries out! I usually watch on my phone or listen to the podcast so I haven't noticed the clock before. But I do love the idea of ticking up for each episode.
Fun week! Tattoo on the podcast would be a bit noisy I think. I'd watch a separate RUclips vid or short of the tattoo process with one or both doing a drum cover over a timelapse.
Another amazing episode! The set is looking awesome! Perfect balance of focusing on you two while also having an interesting background to enjoy looking at!
Honestly, I thought the clock was simply for set decoration. I noticed it the first time I started watching your podcasts. So I didn't worry that it appeared to not change time. Let the clock remain the episode counter.
Another great episode! I normally listen to your podcast while working out, but this one was a little different for me. I had to go to the emergency room, and this kept me calm while I was waiting for a doctor after triage. Everything turned out fine, and I just wanted to thank you both for the part you played in it. From one creative to creative, here is one way you have positively impacted someone else’s life at an otherwise pretty scary moment. Keep up the good work and have a wonderful day! 😊
I'm moving to my new appartment next week and I'm terrified but also very excited because my roomate will be there almost two weeks before me and we are not going to the same school so it's even more scary so I loved to hear about your kids' experience, it reasures me a lot
Oh no. I just went through a few weeks long podcast binge during my commutes, what am I supposed to do now without an endless Imp and Skizz pour??? My addiction can't wait until Friday 😂
As someone that questioned why the clock never moves…I never once even noticed is was different each episode. I just always looked and said yup still no battery. Moving forward keep doing what you’ve been doing
💔I’m so sorry Skizz and family! It’s truly heartbreaking when two animals you love hurt each other. Even more so when you end up losing them both! 💔 My family had a dog who unfortunately was food aggressive specifically towards cats. We got him as a puppy and didn’t know how bad his food aggression was until he killed one of my cats who happened to walk by while he was eating one morning. We tried to keep the dog separated during feeding time after that since he was totally fine with the cats when there was no food involved. Luckily my grandfather was able to take the dog so we were still able to see him.❤️
As someone who's very forgetful, I like the idea of using the clock to remind you of the episode number.

Hugs to you both. I had a rough early childhood with my dad, to the extent of going to a foster home for a year. As an adult, my dad and I where able to build the relationship I wish we could have had when I was a kid.
I love it so much when they talk about their kids, these are two amazing and proud dads right here
I just want a giant dad hug from skizz. It seems like it would make all my problems seem smaller
@@jasmindisney8787 I’m so jealous of his kids and wife tbh. and impulse when skizz is able to steal a hug
Keep the batteries out of the clock!! 😊
I was one who was asking what was up with it but didn’t catch on lol. 😂
Love the Easter egg

Hour hand for season number, Min hand for Episode number. 60 episodes per season. This would be interesting.

Yes, continue to tick up the clock!
26:48 Impulse stopping after leaking Skizz's wife name
he was like oh shit lol
I love the usage of the clock changing time to represent the episode number. That’s really clever!
I love it too ❤

You guys make such a fun podcast team. Skizz is an elegant orator, and Impulse is such a relatable contributor. Thank you! ❤
I have never noticed the clock 😂😅 Probably because I watch on mobile and listen more than watching, however I LOVE the easter egg! Please keep it 😊

I like the ticking up the number for each podcast. I feel like if it’s on then I’m just gonna be watching it the whole time
I love just simple podcasts like these, feels like impulse and skizz are the cool dads everybody loves
And the intro is just perfect to pull you in (yet again).
Don’t put batteries in the clock!!!!!😊
The intro got me😂. He pierced what?!?!?!
From the intro, this is gonna be good!

Keep the clock as as! I love that you have that little Easter Egg
I love that the clock shows what episode it is!!!
I love hearing about the stories of your kids in college, I just started college and hearing other stories makes me a lot more excited.

Also if the tattoo podcast can work I would definitely watch!
I like the idea of keep using the clock like you are! It's a unique easter egg!

Keep the episode number clock! Its a great idea!
This was such a fun episode! Really loved the casual, guys talking vibe.
i could literally listen to you guys talk for hours lol
Good life lesson for the other kid in the dorm. Also…wth? I went to Texas Tech and NO ONE helped me move in. 20 trips from my car to my dorm room.

I caught it but I didn't comment on it. I love having the clock as the way it is. Besides, a moving clock makes editing continuity 1000 times harder.
I think you should keep changing the clock each episode. and when you get to episode 100 you should start counting in the duodecimal system (base 12)
Or just have each season be only 59 eps tops haha
Finally getting to listen to this. We helped move our niece into her dorm last week also. Will have to tell you about that sometime.
I love the idea that the clock is being used not as a clock
As someone that questioned why the clock never moves…I never once even noticed is was different each episode. I just always looked and said yup still no battery. Moving forward keep doing what you’ve been doing
I like the idea of the Clock showing the episode number. Base 60
40:00 this is so heavy but glad to finally hear the story, the tattoos are all amazing
Genuinely crying when skizz talks about his daughter
Keep the clock Easter egg for sure
