Melissa knowing you are driving her truck must be a relief. I know knowing who is driving my truck makes me a lot happier. I've seen a lot of fights between managers and drivers over drivers. Some refused to share trucks.
I tried driving but had to spend evenings after returning from stressful deliveries around Staffordshire, I gave up after 2 weeks...admire your relaxed air....
@Gr4vell I was actually the opposite, first year was an adventure, then running out of time 30 minutes away from home, missing out on going out, especially summer, getting up at 3 in the morning, finishing at midnight became harder and harder to do. After away from driving for many years i am back working a three day week, still getting used to automatic gearboxes, finding out turning on the lights isn't as straight forward as turning a switch, wondering where all the cats eyes have gone.
@@markm-ci6rjlet’s say for example mark youre 30 mins from home but have run out of time (genuine question) as I am not in the industry but I’ve always wondered what would happen if you took you’re card out and finished off the 30 min drive to the yard ? Would the machine know the truck has been moved without a card or is it only if vosa stop you and catch you out ? Thanks mate
You’re alright Luke. Don’t know how you put up with all these mistakes and wrong information. No wonder this country is in the state it’s in. All the best. Mick
Literally any company you can think of needs pallets for their products, they don’t sell the pallets, they’re rented so to speak. So we deliver and pick them up from places. And it’s all paid for.
Just googled Chep, Manchester, and you're in Trafford Park. You're very lucky its quiet. If United were playing in the evening, 1. No where to park, and 2. You'll now have a quiet night, otherwise, it would be like daylight and very noisy🤣. Watching another truck driver on RUclips, he had to park up for the night, and it was on the M6 Toll. Not sure if you know, and in case you need to stop over, the services on the Toll let you park for free, and free toll fee, provided you pay for a meal voucher for £3.00. You will be given a voucher, and there's a number in the top right-hand corner, and you input that number when approaching the toll booths. You press the button and give the number to a person who will raise the barrier. Only problem that may be an issue, is this place gets packed by lorries.
Good video. Why were you surprised to find a mirror in a truck that a woman normally drives? Us girls do need to check our hair and put makeup on. OK, I use a mirror to make sure my hijab is on correctly, and I don't wear makeup as wearing makeup is a pain.
haha am a new driver , was having breakfast with some of our other drivers and one of the transport planners the other day... we spent 5 mins having to convince the planner that happens. I duno if it does.. only had 2 nights out as am a day driver haha... and i hid in a quiet corner of one of our yards

Shouldn't you have had netting over the bags with the wedges in them incase any flew out during the transport?
They were pre netted 👍🏻 otherwise yes. Take a look at @16:13 you can see each bag is wrapped in a white net

A very good Monday evening to you all
Who told you it was 24 hours Luke Trigger lol
If that is Trafford Park, and I am sure it is, it used to be 24hrs, years ago
@@markm-ci6rj thats not the official chep trafford looks like an over flow depo for them

@@richardmartin3509 In the iveco ?
Why was tht truck specced with a top bunk and yours wasn't
I see Melissa didn't spec the coach seating floor mat option?? 😂😂
I don't know how CHEP makes any money. Seems like all they do is ferry empty pallets about.
youd be surprised how much money is in that
@@Gazzxy you just never see empty pallets down the shops like

You'd be amazed how much CHEP makes. Those pallets all earn money every day.

Who would thought you could that much fun with pallets
So a driver loading his own truck probably cotractor who's agreed to this on a regular basis the industry as not improving 😕
