Absolutely love this. Watching Judge creating a longer, wider swing and for golfers that means you can work on getting that front hip to get deep and open more and still have the clubhead way back there. That feel alone should get your brain to respond to getting those hands moving quickly at the right time and much later to square it up. That's how you work on increasing clubhead speed. Really great insight, guys.
Great video guys. What a concept, the golf swing is an athletic movement. So many teachers of the past got so far away from it that coming back to it now is a revelation! Haha. Great Job Milo, you and AMG are my faves for sure!
You bet! Thanks so much for watching and if I can ever be of further help to you in learning to Swing Like an Athlete, please do check out my website at milolinesgolf.com for in-person or online lessons, golf schools, or to become a member of my Online Academy.
Great job demonstrating this fellas, and you really knocked it out of the park with the straight-line vs. curved approach to the hitting zone. It was a nice "ahha" moment for me - a straight line (from top of backswing to impact), while minimizing time/distance traveled for the club face, DOES NOT maximize SPEED at/through impact. Vice versa, a rounded/wider/curved approach (from top of backswing to impact), doesn't minimize time/distance traveled for the club face, but DOES allow for maximizing speed at/through impact. After all, what we're looking for is (within reason) maximum SPEED at/through impact, and NOT "how fast/shortest time from top of swing to impact". Those two are not the same. Great stuff as always!
milo, i've had the ted williams book in my collection for years to try and tie the two swing actions together. glad to see i'm thinking along your lines milo, thnx for the help.
@@MiloLinesGolf we were in a pub near us outside boston and there was a life size picture of ted williams and tony conigliaro both in uniform, very cool, you'd love it.
Great video Gents...👍🥂 The Dynamic Duo strikes again 😊The momentum analogie vs straight line makes sense hence why getting the club on plane sooner increases momentum or probability of a better and more consistent strike. Bravo ! 👏👏👏🇨🇦💙it
The motion you recommend also reminds me of a top spin forehand in tennis. You swing your arm a little away from your body on the backswing with the racket head vertical, then you plant your weight on your front foot and then you swing your hips. There's a weight shift and a hip turn, but no real hip slide. Do you think this comparison is accurate? Thank you.
thanks guys, I watched you teaching Brandon from BBG, must be tough to teach an old dog new tricks but I think he is starting to grasp your concept, with a bit more practice he will get it, playing this Friday trying your swing concepts yes I will start at 50% swing speed, wish me luck.
Seems like the around the corner move is similar to sort of like throwing fishing line out, or axe throwing if you’ve ever done that. You basically ‘pull’ the hands around the hand path until the instrument slings out at the right point. There’s not pushing of the instrument out, it just does it by itself. Is that true? Then for golf all you gotta do is figure out how to ‘pull’ ( for lack of better word) around that circle and let club sling into the ball with square face.
This is interesting looking at the swing of Aaron Judge. His swing coach @TeachermanHitting who helped Judge make the adjustment to a more of an explosive snap at the beginning of his swing. Interestingly, the Japanese golf swing coach @chagol (foreign language alert English subtitles ) is explaining the golf swing similar to @TeachermanHitting Here is a short of @TeachermanHitting ruclips.net/user/shorts0zMteB-k_74 Here is the long version of @chagol basically saying something similar about the golf swing. ruclips.net/video/fIKRcCeOCnA/видео.html
Great video. What is interesting is the wrist condition which brings into the grip. So much of this has to do with mobility. Your comparing world class athletes hitters dropping into the “zone” how about the lessor MLB batter not getting that deep or shallow. My answer is those batters are not the elite!
I don’t think it’s a mobility issue. I am not mobile nor are some elite hitters I have worked with. I think it’s more an issue of how and when they learned. Many coaches teach concepts that create less desirable patterns both in golf and in baseball.

Best team teaching that I have watched so far. Been a player 62 years but a student only the last two months.
Thanks so much Jim!!
Great video. Putting wrists angles, shoulders/sidebend and turn together towards the end was great.
Thanks Vance 👊

That's my belief too, thanks for watching!
Great video! If we all paid attention like Milo's dog does to Henry at 7:39, we'd be better players.
😂
I’m working on this now thanks to drills Henry and Ed gave me, but what happens if you start to overdo it? Thanks!!!
awesome explanation !
Thank you!

Check MrBatSpeed…he’s all over this big on rotating y’all would love his stuff
I've seen some of his stuff, most all the hitting coaches talk about rotating, but regarding the barrel, that's a different story.
@TeachermanHitting claims to be Judge’s coach and makes a similar move as Henry was demonstrating
