    Magnificent Century Episode 63 👉 • Magnificent Century Ep...
    Sultana Hurrem walks towards the power.
    Will Nigar confess to Sultana Hatice that she has an affair with Ibrahim? What lesson will Sultan Suleiman teach to Prince Mustafa as he is sending him to the sanjak? Will Hatice believe Hurrem's unexpected witness? Will Mahidevran allow Gulfem to set the accounts with her? The Magnificent Century is on Star tonight with it's season finale which many questions will be answered.
    Sultana Hatice catches Nigar as she is about to escape. Hatice asks her what happened between Ibrahim and her. Nigar denies her affair with Ibrahim. She tells her that the baby she carries is Nasuh Efendi's. Hatice can't decide what to believe. She decides to face with Hurrem.
    Sultan Suleiman teaches a heavy lesson to Prince Mustafa who prepares going to sanjak. Prince Mustafa is sent off with a glorious farewell.
    Ibrahim reaches to The Master after a violent conflict. However, he sees someone he has never expected in front him.
    At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
    The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
    As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.
    Cast: Halit Ergenç, Nebahat Çehre, Meryem Uzerli, Okan Yalabık, Nur Aysan, Selma Ergeç, Sema Keçik, Filiz Ahmet, Selim Bayraktar, Selen Öztürk, Nihan Büyükağaç, Burcu Tuna, Merve Oflaz, Arif Erkin, Ali Uyandıran, Alp Öyken, Murat Tüzün, Doğan Turan, Gökhan Çelebi, Yüksel Ünal.

    Even though Hurrem set her up, Mahidevran really did not do favors for herself by getting herself into huge debt. She made a classic mistake of 'I have so much money I can buy whatever I want'. Without thinking about how she's going to pay it back.
    Overall Mahidevran played herself and all Hurrem did was add fuel to the fire.

    You know, if Gülfem really was meant to be a former concubine of Suleiman's, one that Mahidevran herself unseated, I wish they'd played that up a bit more between the two women. It'd lend an added layer to the circumstances here if, despite Mahidevran insisting she'd never attack Gülfem, it was known the two had quarreled severely in the past. (Although, admittedly, Suleiman knows already what Mahidevran is capable of doing if she feels threatened after she poisoned Hürrem.)

      Glad they didn't though. This show already has too many toxic female rivalries. That would only feed into the cesspool of the fandom it already is. Though I doubt that this the reason they didn't do it. They probably didn't included it because they were rushing.

    • @Redluna32
      @Redluna32 Год назад +8

      @@Brin_Londo Eh, I think it's more the fandom itself that makes those dynamics so toxic than the writers themselves at times. Which isn't to say the writers' vision is always flawless because it absolutely isn't, particularly not when they're angling for a soap opera image more often than not.

      Gulfem was stoic after her tragedy, she knew her place was solid, suleiman promised he'd always take care of her after their son died and she couldnt bear any more children. She knew all she had to do was keep her nose clean and she was set for life she didnt need to play games of intrigue and ambition, even if she wanted to she didnt have any leverage so she was pretty chill, i imagine her as the rock of the harem, especially after she took over as treasurer.

    This is the difference between writing in earlier seasons and in later seasons. Here people are not blindely blaming hurrem and mahi but can understand how mahi showed her incompetence and hurrem took advantage of it. Later seasons white washed Mustafa's situation at that hight that nobody could understand how Mustafa gave every opportunity to hurrem to destroy himself just to show his a "good and innocent" prince. Writers are Makers were afraid to show him as a rebel against sultan so they destroyed the character of Sultan Suleiman and turned Mustafa into some Hero.

    I win when she’s going to take the blame on herself and stop blaming hurrem because after a while, it gets tiring that she always falls for it because after a while you just gotta admit that the better woman won and just try to distance yourself from her and just make sure you keep yourself safe from her because everyone kinda commits if she did not try to fight her for the intentions of the sultan that hurrem might have went to the wayside along time ago because the soft and would’ve got tired of her as men in those kind actually got tired of the women because his mother was still living, and there was just no one woman that could keep the attentions of the sultan at one time for any time because his mother would’ve saw it, he would have his needs to be met by women and that no one woman could sway him like his mother. That’s how the mother kept control of their sons. The control their women are bickering among themselves. they cannot come together to rest the control from the mother, and then it starts all up again. The signs have children, and they started again with their wives and then their mothers again of cycle repeats itself

      First,neither Mahi nor Gulfem were His wives.They were his concubines and slaves.Up until ep 42 Hürrem was also a concubine. HÜRREM was the only woman Süleyman married in the show and real life.
      And to answer your question: no he didn’t love Gulfem. Gulfem was his first woman to give birth to his child who died when Suleiman was a prince.However,he and the imperial family had a great respect for her and she had a good relationship with them.

    • @Redluna32
      @Redluna32 Год назад +9

      So, to be fair, Suleiman's only legal wife was Hürrem. In regards to previous concubines, however, Gülfem used to be considered the mother of one of Suleiman's sons who died young, Murad, for truly no other reason than it being a popular belief that people held to (and why the show uses hints of it). However, nowadays, she's more commonly believed to have been a very high-ranking harem stewardess. This is due to the fact that her name isn't present in the registers for Suleiman's princely harem in Manisa and, by the point her name does show up after Suleiman becomes sultan, she's listed as only as Gülfem Hatun and not as “mother of the deceased prince x."
      I'd actually compare the real life version of her more to either Daye or, to some extent, Nigar within the show as, not only does she seem to have had a near familial relationship with Suleiman in her letters, she was also assigned to keep an eye on Hürrem by him when she was still a new concubine and was the only harem member that Hürrem would include in the greetings in her own letters to Suleiman.

It was alliance between the families to add to his power as a young prince even after hurrem they had good relationship and that’s why mahi gave birth to her daughter but mahi fell off from suleimans grace when she put her hands on hurrem bcz she was jealous about the fact that suleiman was making babies with one concubine all the time breaking the rules.
