Securely Attach A Phone To A Honda C90 or C125 - Bonus Vernier Caliper Footage

  • I recently rode my Honda Super Cub C125 from my house in Wiltshire to Land's End and back. Whilst it was a generally wholesome (if cold) experience, the phone mount I elected to use was useless. In this video I show you how to measure up for a clamp and phone mount using a vernier caliper.
Whilst the initial mounting seems to work in concept, the only proof of this particular pudding will be in taking to the roads and green lanes to see if tit falls off!
    Thanks to everyone that watches.

You`re as mad as a box of frogs but the precise technical terms of the equipment used and the vast vault of engineering knowledge stored behind those glasses, keeps me coming back for more. Happy 2023.

Hi! Love your vids as a fellow Cub rider. Lots of fun and useful staff. Thanks for the time you've spent creating this. As for me I attached my GoPro and phone holders _under_ the mirrors lock nuts. It works well since there are less vibrations than with the on-mirror mounting option. Thanks a lot one more time and have nice time with your moped.

What a lovely comment to wake up to. I was on the cub just the other day doing small local errands and it felt great! What age and colour is your cub?

@@EpohDerf Good morning mate ) I couldn't define the exact age of my Cub aka Totosha but his previous owner said that she believed he was produced in 2007. Tototosha's destiny is unclear. The one thing I know he was imported from Japan. It has features of different Cub models and someone cut off its beautiful sail. It is blue and white. It seems his life wasn’t a joy ride. Or maybe it was :) The documents he has are very suspicious. He has some health issues. But he starts at first kick even on a frosty Russian morning and runs smoothly with the nice quiet sound of Honda engine. God he is not fast at all but how nice and true is the feeling of moving forward when you ride this moped. Why is his name Totosha? His previous owner told me. The Super Cubs have a nickname “crocodile'' in Russia since they have something in common with the creature in the silhouette. There is a famous poem by Russian children's poet Korney Tchukovsky about three little crocodiles named Kokosha, Totosha, and Lyolyosha. Since the girl who owned a moped before me had three of them she gave them the names after Tchukovsky’s poem characters. You can find Totosha and me on the Ig @nivalegend2021.

Fred, just found your channel. Love it, your ability to instruct with such lazier sharp technical details brings a smile to my face. I would suggest a career in Education or Medicine could be calling you. In the words of a fellow You Tuber, Troy Hawke, "Never stop, Never change". 😂

If you remove the bottom half moon clamp bit and file the mating faces a little it will tighten the gap up im sure.

I always know where I am going. Given the jams and cockups tourists get into where I live using GPS. It is frankly too dangerous.
