As a tech OG... out of uni into tech early 90s... and now after years of watching what they call web3...hate that name... the leap in development does not justify it...become corrupted in so many ways since 2016 in particular... we jumped in early last year... setting up a biz to research how we could positively impact the world with blockchain... and it's not been as easy as one might think...finding advantages with solutions which could not already be met by existing tech... so we've been slow to market... focusing on client education whilst pointing out the variety of lies manipulation cultism greed misdirection and more... gotta say... never been such a time in tech or the world... the opportunity for the few to hoodwink the many is unprecedented ... it's sad to see but we will fight on to bring legitimate solutions to market... and will stay in touch with critics like this channel Molly's Munecats and more to remember why we came at this and to reaffirm our principles... so thank u for your sanity... keep up the amazing work... some of us out here will never stop fighting to maintain truth in the face of it all...🙏🏼 @herbiehutch
I wouldn't call Wikipedia decentralized and I don't think it's free from financial bias either, even if many of the editors aren't being paid for their work. Many wikipedia articles on important subjects are significantly biased towards narratives which are pushed by undemocratic global profit-power-seeking multistakeholders. It's not possible for normal people to add nuance or opposing information to those articles, because they'll be locked or reverted. And the list of allowed sources that Wikipedia deems "reliable" is biased as well. It didn't used to be this bad, but it's getting worse every day. But I enjoyed the rest of the podcast, thanks!
