What's your favorite truck brand and model? Are you excited about this new 2022 Frontier redesign? Would you buy 4x2 or 4x4? Thanks and happy viewing! Jeff
Live in a city in the south and go camping 1-2 times a year where you drive across alight mud and grass? 4x2. You’ll never need the 4x4. Save the money, and your towing is higher.
My favorite brand. But they should have left a manual trans optiobn on the table. They already had the technology. All the complex modern automatics will be a money pit some day.
Nice review, Jeff. I bought this exact truck last October. It's my first truck and I love it! Living in the big flat metroplex of DFW, you don't need a 4X4. Plus, this model gets a lot better gas mileage than rated. With a bed cover, I'm getting anywhere between 21-26 MPG and most of that is stop and start driving.
@@misterred316 Overall I think it's fantastic. It handles well, MPG is better than advertised, and it's such a beautiful truck. The only negative to me is the turning radius.
@clayculver2460 I would expect that being it's a truck. Where did you purchase, and did you pay above MSRP? I may go test drive one this weekend (probably the same trim as well). I've been in contact with a dealership in Frisco, but I'm keeping my options open.
@@misterred316 I purchased it at GUNN Nissan in Denton. And yes, it was above sticker, but I bought it in the Fall of 2021. It looks like they have a few 2023 models. I had been searching for quite a while to find the exact model and package I wanted. Mine has the black hood decal which adds a lot to the look. Good luck and let me know if you get one.
I bought a 22 Green Pro4x and the first thing I'd do to this thing is get rid of that air dampener (?) in front of the skid plate. Ruins the aesthetic/functionality of the approach angle. Also, I love that the steps are removable. The option to take them off has been clutch off road with what little ground clearance there is anyway.
I have the frontier in the sv model I have all 3 packages on mine so I have the sunroof, leathers seats and the fender audio system only things I don’t have is the sos button, navigation, wireless charging, all round cameras and tow hooks but I love this truck it’s not prefect but it’s works for me tho.
Why would you need a pro4X when not a lot of peeps will have the luxury of actually going off road under extreme conditions… plus 4WD trucks usually have a more expensive window for maintenance… I think this is why anyone would want the pro X.. (Me included in my situation as I only need this to get to work while I’m on shore duty: it’s a nice truck but I don’t need to spend more on the same truck that’ll still give a lot of the pros that the 4X has without the need for an actual pro4X… thus ProX fits my accommodations pristinely more that the 4WD variant)
You put the same amount of lift same size and brand tires on the pro4x and put it against the equivalent tacoma and we would see wouldn't we. I bet that little challenge wouldn't turn out the way you think it would, or want it to.

In the DFW Metroplex as well. I sat in one a few weeks ago. What do you think overall so far? Worth it?

Great informative video Jeff. Nice looking truck as well. Like the accent colors.
I like them too!
that one with cloth seats has the fender sound

As soon as I'm able, I will have one. AMEN
Yesss I love my new frontier plenty of juice 🤤ya feel g
I love mine!
Are there any AC/Heater vents for the rear passengers ?
No, sorely needed also need ventilated front seats for southern buyers we never use heated seats in the southern U.S. From S. Ga
Good afternoon brother!
Hey Hungry Joe!
looks great, it's the caffeine (hot lava) i could do without. 😂
How do u like the pro4x compared trdpro
Actually I liked it quite a bit. I still like TRD Pro better but it’s personal preference I guess
@@AutoJeffReviews are they about the same in roominess?
I think Nissan is more like a sport truck faster with some mods
But how does it drive, though?
They don't allow you to drive?
i like the Frontier, i just don't understand why anyone would want 2WD on a PROX
Ppl that don't offroad and want bigger tow load capacity and better fuel mileage is my guess
Exactly I never go off road so prox is enough for my city living 😄
Here we go again…. Remember people will buy whatever they want simple 😂 😂 😂
@@Tiffer_77 If they don't want 4WD then why not a different trim level? PROX is like fake 4WD.
@@Tiffer_77 People can't buy what they want right now. It's just not available.
Nice truck, but if it comes with the Jatco transmission, it's gonna be trash.
Jeff the more I look at the truck I see a Tacoma
we have clearance Clarence
Soo, you're not Toyota Jeff today??!!!
Haha! I have 2 channels. I started this one a year ago to look at all brands. ToyotaJeff will always be my main love :)
Under 40k!! In What Country?
Pro 4x... Why would anyone want the pro x??

My favorite truck is hands down the Toyota Tacoma! Best truck ever!

I love how it upshifts going uphill. I had a bump truck pass me.
I wanted this truck but I chose a Tacoma instead. This won’t outlast a Tacoma or have better resale value.
yeah nobody is getting this under 40k.
Tacoma TRD Pro is better…. But Nissan is ok too….
