Ive had mine since November, tactical green pro4x. My only issue was wanting more ground clearance so I got a 4" suspension lift on the way and gonna put 33s on it. Other than that, I love it and it's been great getting me to remote hunting grounds
Got my 2022 Pro4x a week ago, boulder grey, with the luxury pkg. Only thing missing, was the sprayed on bed liner, drives like a comfortable truck, quiet, fast and with all the power I need to tow and carry any load. Sorry haters those of us driving them love them.

Out of all the trucks I tried this is the one I fell for, I just ordered mine in Boulder grey , so excited ! , loved everything about it , I'm 6ft 5 and it was very comfy for me , had enough room in the front and I was able to fit in the rear!
The remote doesn't lock the tailgate from the key fob? My buddy has a 2022 Pro4x Frontier and it locks from the remote. I wonder if they are sending them without to lessen chips.
I don’t know much about 4 wheeling but my assumption about not having a long bed available in the Pro4X maybe has to do something with break over or departure angles or something like that.
Odd. Maybe the Canadian models might not lock. I specifically asked their product person about the locking tailgate. Place for bed extender but still a good place to put your mug instead of on the bumps 😆
@@samclark3370 anyone who's ever ridden in one. Unless you actually rock crawl or tow over 5k. It's the best riding, most useful interior, widest 5' bed, midsize truck...
I think they sell all they make of these, it looks great inside and out. A telescoping steering wheel and rear seat hating/AC outlets should be there already though, perhaps in a refresh. Great job Nissan.
You might of forgot to mention that the frontier has heated steering wheel and seats as standard equipment, not like the Tacoma that it’s not even available for us Canadians, and it has no and I mean nooooo stop/start feature ( triple bonus for that) not like all three other competitors have excepted for GM canyon and colorado. Also I pretty sure the Pro 4x crew cab has a shorter wheel base then the SV crew cab with the six foot box .
@@EverydayReviews2022 you are kinda right. According to Nissan build web site only the S model doesn’t have it but the Sv and pro 4x is standard in those models
Love Quebec and really appreciate your reviews. Nissan has found the balance between the new and the old relative to the Frontier. I know the Tacoma is the one to beat, but this new pro 4X Frontier is a serious contender. I found the Tacoma to be very "punchy" in terms of its drive train. The Frontier is smooth for a truck and the exterior designers get an A, its chiseled and the design is classic and fresh without being over the top and should age well over the years. Only misses are telescope steering wheel and clearer camera - not deal breakers in this segment.
Is it just me, or have pickup trucks become enormous with their crew cabs? It seems every other time I am parking at the grocery store, there is a hulking pickup truck poorly parked, and taking up a a space and quarter.
I like this truck and will probably buy a Pro4X Premium next year. That said, there are a few annoyances with this truck that Nissan should have addressed after waiting this long to do this redesign. The lack of a telescoping steering wheel is ridiculous in a $44k (US) vehicle. There is also way too much hard plastic. I know some buyers don't mind that in a truck, but I expect more premium materials at this price point. I agree too that the camera resolution is awful for a vehicle of this price and the location of the locker and other controls is also not good. You had a helluva time turning off the hill descent, having to take your eyes off the trail several times. None of these things are deal breakers, but it is annoying that Nissan missed these obvious issues after taking 17 long years to finally bring us a new Frontier.
There are so many missing stuff in these redesign Frontier. Since they get to redo...why left out so many stuff and yet those are not hard to do to keep it up to date.. Example... missing mirrors turn signal light, not even one cubby storage in the bed??? No innovation on the rear bumper? Not even an option for power sliding rear windows, Steering not retractable, so many blank slots on the cluster like Nissan lost the idea what to do with it, wait until look inside it at night time so lack of lights, etc. Not enough justifications to move others buyer.
hopefully they are waiting to see if it sells first, but i completely agree, things like that really make a big difference. I really want a new midsize but they always disappoint just a bit. well except for Honda, but i don't lie the exterior at all...
The usual consumer of these trucks aren't interested in all the cute bells and whistles, they just want a reliable functional truck. I'm with you in the sliding back mirror tho
People don't pay ridiculous dealer markups on this truck and please don't believe the beanshooters saying they bought one of these. If they did they are fools. I live within 20 miles of 5 Nissan dealerships and have yet to see one of these trucks on the road. I personally never met anybody that stupid. All that said, it's a nice truck fully loaded pro 4x 43,000 out the door.
I own a 2015 pro 4x six speed. Test drove a 22 sv Motor is much better. The 50 hp difference is very noticeable. It picks up much better at low Revs as well. Interior fit finish is excellent. I'm not a big guy (165lb) but found the seats worse and narrower than my 15. Fuel economy will be improved. But...the transmission shifts rough esp in the manual settings. It's very slow to up shift when you want it to, and feels sledgehammer smooth on Doan shifts. Biggest gripe. $49k cdn out the door, for a midsized truck. It's a step up yes, not a leap and not worth the money.
Maybe not compared to a previous generation Pro-4X, but I went from a 2019 SV to a 2022 Pro-4X and it's like night and day. There is absolutely no comparison. Worth every bit of $52k out the door here in the states.
How Nissan dropped the ball on this: 1) Pricing. Nissan does not have the quality of Toyota or Honda. Yet this cost as much as those do. 2) Steering wheel does not telescope. I mean my god, this was a 99% next get effort. Cutting costs on something as important as "FIT" is ridiculous. I think more people will benefit from a telescoping steering wheel than usb ports IN THE BACK seats... 3) No manual. Uhhhhhgg... Come on man... 4) Back seat storage efficiency. Go on, flip up the seats in the back of a Frontier. Now go do that in a Honda Ridgeline. The difference is vast... 5) As much as I love the new look of the front end, the hood is so high it actually impacts visibility out the front (visibility of things directly in front of your truck, like rocks or your kids...).
Excellent review 👍
Thank you! Cheers!

The key fob does work the tailgate lock on mine, but it may be due to the convenience package.
Wait until the next generation Tacoma comes out then do a comparison.
Will do.
I like the red color

You can get a locking tailgate. One needed option that is missing is a telescoping steering column
I bought a Pro 4X this week and love it so far. There is a lot of plastic. I would like a bigger glovebox.Nothings perfect.
Great review! Good description of what this truck is all about.
No hybrid! FA is perfect. No more of this fancy engine stuff that will cost more than the truck costs to fix when it fails. Nissan did it right.

Good job, distinctively professional dude
My tailgate locks with the keyfob.
The should make one in Lava Red.
My prox has a locking tailgate via the remote…
So weird that mine didn’t
Has anyone looked into or have done a leveling kit on the ‘22 Pro4X?
My tailgate definitely locks and unlocks with the fob. also those aren’t drink holders on the tailgate, they are spots for the bed extender.
Do you know if the old bed extender will fit in the 2022?
Odd. Maybe the Canadian models might not lock. I specifically asked their product person about the locking tailgate. Place for bed extender but still a good place to put your mug instead of on the bumps 😆
In Canada we have to add the fob tail gate lock for an extra fee.
What exactly is regular fuel?
Non premium 87 octane
Great truck. All of the sudden the Tacoma looks pretty bad!
Good review! How is the interior space as compared to the other mid sized trucks? I currently have a Canyon and find the back seats a bit tight.
