Yes! "Spilt Milk" by Jellyfish is a MUST. "Bellybutton" is great too but I absolute love their second album. Great Power Pop band.

I've been so busy lately. Has Jim done Act 3 by The Dear Hunter yet? I guess I just need to look it up. :D

I quite like Steely Dan - I own two of their albums - but it's opinions like this that make me think that they belong in the top 10 overrated bands ever list. Jellyfish are certainly worth a listen but the earth didn't move for me. The shame is that you rarely hear them on radio/TV unlike Steely Dan who remain everywhere (hyperbole but you know what I mean.)

Hi Ken, Steely Dan is a band that polarizes. Not many bands in the 70s were as perfect as the Dan, but to me the music also seemed to feel "cold". But if you read in other channels how much Americans love Steely Dan ... I think it's music from Americans for Americans ... we Europeans judge different I guess? What do you think ? at least they've had some great songs in the beginning ...

@@rudolfbecker4313 I suspect you've hit it on the head, Rudi. The production and playing are without fault and many of their songs are very well written but it's music for musos who, I think, don't like to criticise them in case other musos sneer. Reelin' in the Years and Rikki, Don't lose that Number are great songs however. I think my dislike stems from their Grammy win in 2001 for 'Two Against Nature' (Album of the Year, apparently) when any sensible person might struggle to have it in a top 100. Now, that's the Grammy's fault (one of many) but symptomatic of the music for (American) musos argument.
