    Once again Kelly your rationale and explanation for picking this song is very clear. It’s been a voyage of rediscovery for me, listening to Pearl Jam. Thanks for covering this. Absolutely agree with you that the solo is all about feel and mastering those Mercedes bends!

    Thanks for this video! The Best tutorial i've seen and great explanation about theory in action. :)

    When I heard this song's intro for the first time, which is considerably more difficult in comparison to the solo, I expected the solo(s) include really difficult runs but it didn't. It's slow and tasteful and perfect just the way it is.

    Fantastic lesson. Easy to follow. Not only a perfect solo for my beginner/intermediate skill but sure to be a hit with the ladies. 👍

    Awesome lesson. I just recently watched "Super Pumped", a Netflix series about how the Uber compamyu was formed and how the company conducted itself to cause the founder to loose his top position. Last scene closed out with Yellow Ledbetter song. So fitting for the ending, and I got motivated to learn the solo. You sure helped me with that learning process. Thank you for your exceptional style of teaching.

    Thank you much! I feel like you're checking out my YT history, haha. I am exactly at the skill level you targeted this for. I recently tried to tackle this by watching a different video and I basically didn't make it passed "part 1". You got me through the whole thing in about 1-2 hours. I could play along with you at about 80% playback speed. Now I just need to work it up to speed.

    Awesome video! You are definitely becoming my favorite. One question though. You mention bending to the blue note. The blue note is for the key of c# minor correct? Since the song is in the key of E would it not technically be bending into the minor 3rd? Learning theory I am.

    • @jacobdaniel8239
      @jacobdaniel8239 7 месяцев назад

      Well, not trying to be rude or anything but theory isn't for beginners in my opinion. You need to develope a real taste for playing before you ever indulge in the why's and how's.

      As far as solos go, of course there are really easy ones, but kind of boring to play. This is a relatively easy solo for beginners. It doesn't have any quick runs.
