Note on gun designation. Caliber is barrel length. For example a 10mm 25 caliber cannon has a shell size of 10mm across and is fired from a barrel 250mm long. The measurement is barrel length divided by bore size to get the caliber. Example as well, the famous 8.8cm L/71 flak cannon the germans used had a barrel length of 8.8x71=624.8cm or 6.248 meters
Great video GDN ! A Basilisk is a Must for any serious IG/AM commander as it has more range & strength than any other piece of artillery available & there are very fevv targets that can vvithstand a hit from 1, not to mention from a full battery of them . After getting one as a heavy support choice , then a commander can feel free to choose other more specialized pieces of artillery. Allthough vvith its range i think the rules should allovv them to be deployed 'off board' so long as there are designated spotter units, similar to the Master of Ordenance that can be added to a regimental command squad. TY again for your great vvork
Thanks. It does indeed seem to be the backbone of most imperial regiments. You see other pieces maybe sporadically, but you always see Basilisks when a siege in involved.
Not a favorite but it is useful for those who want to keep there distance but also have an effect on the field of battle. But I am sure some of the heavy stuff is coming and throne help those who end up eating a shell from one of the upcoming
