RIP my dad hes the one that showed it to me and then he tole me about an old 70s skit where 2 dudes had glow in the dark condoms and chased each other around a dark room
@@Captain_Dick_Swett That wasn't a 70's skit. It's in the 1989 movie Skin Deep with John Ritter. It was so much better in the theatre because people were laughing so much. Here it is. ruclips.net/video/fNTg2Uz7-pM/видео.html
Unfortunately they cut the scene right after. John Ritter calls his lawyer to tell him he's in jail. His lawyer says to his wife, "Zach's been arrested." "For what?" she asks. "Cock fighting."
I remember watching this with a bunch of people in 1987 in my freshman year in college. The RA on my floor looked to so much like David allan grier, We are end up calling him no soul Simmons for the rest of the semester
Before anything really funny happens, I think the guy sweeping the footpath lets you know the director understands how comedy works. Love the VCR tape ejection.
The Apartment made me think of that "The Twilight Zone" episode where a thief's house and even his car attacks him until he turns himself in to the police.
A girl I was seeing back in the late 80’s and early 90’s worked at a video store. She told me that if I watch this first part of this movie, that I will pee my pants laughing. Guess what SHE WAS RIGHT!! I don’t think I ever laughed so hard!! 😂
Seriously, this movie is the ONLY movie that had my crying hard with laughter! All of my friends are die-hard fanatics as well! In my world, this is the #1 cult classic film! Considered a box office bomb, grossing only a tenth of its budget, I can't thank John Landis enough for the sacrifice...a satirical fan film!!! I'll watch this repeatedly until the day I die!!!! Amazing!!!
I was on so many shrooms when I saw this - it was hilarious. I had no idea what I was watching. I remember starting to laugh when the phone rang the first time. It got worse when he took the sandwich from the fridge already on the plate, and I was completely unprepared for the beer. It only got worse from there.
I remember when I first heard the phrase comedy of errors. I would always think of this scene. Nothing went right. I'm surprised the coffee table and couch didn't fall apart though. Nothing else in that condo worked right at all. lol
I don't think that was a racist stereotype of a slow moving black street sweeper. It was just a slow street sweeper. There's not really much urgency to the job. It's not like you need to hurry & finish so you can go home.
I'll always remember the first time I showed this to my father, the only time I ever saw him literally crying with laughter! RIP Dad

LMAO!!!
From the first time I saw this I've thought it was the funniest scene I've ever watched.
"THERE ain't no FUCKING Thelma here MAN!"
Two people called Thelma didn't like this film!!..."the bitch don't live here!"....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Some of the best physical comedy of the 80's! Arsenio does an amazing job of selling the man's frustration
I remember watching this with a bunch of people in 1987 in my freshman year in college. The RA on my floor looked to so much like David allan grier, We are end up calling him no soul Simmons for the rest of the semester
I love every part of this sketch, but the look of resignation on his face when the tv blows up is hysterical
He was so used to things going wrong that when it exploded, he was just not surprised anymore.
I love it when the tv blows up. The final stage, acceptance.
The whole scene is comedy gold. But when the tv blew up I lost it.
i'll also love that little cry he gives off when trying to turn off the garbage disposal
"THERE AIN'T NO FUCKIN' THELMA HERE, MAN!!!"
I LOVE this scene! Especially when he first plugs in the VCR then tries to watch the tape. I know what happens and still LMAO every time I see it.
Mine tooooo
"The b*tch dont live here !!" 🤣
"Starring lots of actors!" I just knew I was gonna like this ...
Before anything really funny happens, I think the guy sweeping the footpath lets you know the director understands how comedy works. Love the VCR tape ejection.
This is essentially the plot of all the Final Destination Movies.
The Apartment made me think of that "The Twilight Zone" episode where a thief's house and even his car attacks him until he turns himself in to the police.
"This is Thelma. Any calls for me?"

I love how smooth jazz is playing as soon as he walks in
Me too, it's always a pleasure to hear it.
Greatest comedy skit of all time!!!
17 years later i still find this movie funny
Really?
Me too! We love it 😂😂😂😂
Lol. Seventeen?
@@babu357the movie came out in 1987, Saw the movie many times before it was on youtube
I'm quite accident prone and my 'friends' still call this the Stevie sketch! Absolute genius. Need to go. A dog is biting my ankle
LMAO
This is a great scene but that part when he played that preacher in Coming to America had me rolling😆
I can do it just like he did, voice and all.
There ain’t no Thelma here....!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I still shout I'm coming when my phone rings.
They need to make a sequel to this Best movie ever made.
No, just the Arsenio Hall part lol
This actually is a sequel. Check out Kentucky Fried Movie.
Things have really changed since that movie came out.
Considering it didn't do well box office wise, I don't think they'd do it.
This was his best skit I'v seen. I laugh every time I see it. " I don't know no damn Thelma" . LOL
He should have played Norberg in The Naked Gun.
At the time Simpson was cast, he hadn't committed any crimes yet.
Damn that would have been amazing choice
And the worst part is that the rent is due.
😂 one of my all time favorites.
Thanks Giant Beastcast for sending me here 👌🏼
Best slapstick since The 3 Stooges!
There will never be anything like the 80's again. This was from 1987.
Never laughed so hard first time watching this
For those that don't catch it, the person calling for Thelma is Murry, the guy that gets stuck in T.V. land.
oh-shit...I saw this on the movie screen and countless times on vhs, and i never connected those two segments lol
Love this movie! GREAT!
You have to give props to Arsenio Hall. Only he could have pulled off the exaggerated expressions and physical comedy this first skit demanded.
I hate days like this.
this funny as HELL .!
I remember when I first heard the phrase comedy of errors. I would always think of this scene. Nothing went right. I'm surprised the coffee table and couch didn't fall apart though. Nothing else in that condo worked right at all. lol
it was to lure him into a false sense of security. haha
Best movie intro EVER
I made this my gamer pic! Love it!
I remember watching this movie so long ago
One of the best movies ever.
i'd be the one who keeps calling asking for Thelma
"The b*tch dont live here!"
Thank God for DVD's and Blu-ray's. 4:07
...until the TV explodes.
That's pretty much my life in a nutshell
Ain't no Thelma here man.
Was I the only kids who watch this on repeat in the 80s?
How could they make this without Leslie Nielsen?
He was busy with other projects at the time.
kultfilm,einfach genial
"Ainnnt know Thelma Heeeeeeeeeer" lolololololoo
awesome!
AIN'T NO FUCKING THELMA HERE!!!!!
Fantastic scene! 🤣 But I still wonder why the debris falls before the body does. 🤔
This movie reminds of “The Kentucky Fried Movie” 🤦🏽♂️🤣
2:02 😄😄😄
3:48 😂😂😂

Arsenio Hall, as he gets out of his convertible: "How's it goin', racist stereotype of a slow-moving black street sweeper?"
?????
I don't think that was a racist stereotype of a slow moving black street sweeper. It was just a slow street sweeper. There's not really much urgency to the job. It's not like you need to hurry & finish so you can go home.
Classic!
Genious
They need to put this movie on DVD or Blu ray

Totally possible
The director of photography was sadly beheaded years later.
What? Really?
Funniest movie ever made 🤣

The perfect solution to male hair loss!
I know, right? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What is the name of this movie
I think it's called "Where's Thelma"
Telephone ☎️
Arsenio Hall
Might've been better if he fell on the black sweeper when he fell out the window.
I disagree. The old sweeper refuses to let this young upstart "rain on his parade". 😄
Nt nachito
They made a parody of Final Destination 13 years before the original. 🙂
This scene is real laughable😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂!!
🤣😂🤣🤣
LO fin L
And the point of this was?????
Is funny.
Comedy.
Boo dummy
If you have to ask then it's not meant for you
@@paullayfield Okay, so what was the point of it?
