- The story began with a dilemma Annie's troop had to face - War or no war. The scene then shifted as we see the reconnection of some of our ousted old boys with their families. But troop politics is complicated and Machiavellian at times.....

Dopey was one of the most beautiful of all monkey hill babies.

He was so hilarious remember when he thought his older brothers penis was a milk spout? Lol lol it was hilarious his brother jumped up and smacked the crap out of him!! He got schooled that day!!
And yes he was a really pretty little guy. So expressive even while almost drowning himself out n a small stream of rain water. Such a little clutz!!

I don't want to think those days are gone somehow I want to think that mother and son will always love each other and have a special place in each other's hearts Dopey was my always my favorite as well as reddy and I see that reddy is getting older and she looks tired I worry about her!

I think it’s so cute when the babies learn how to walk they walk around with their tail up high and prayed showing how happy they are even when they play in Russell until they learn their place so adorable. Thank you so much for sharing. AM❤
Thank you for naming Annie's boy Adam. I burst into tears when i heard it. I lost my precious nephew Adam to an OD this March. I pretty much raised him, so it is like i lost my son. He struggled for a long time and was looking forward to getting sober. He was going to come live with my hubby and i to do this. I guess he decided one more time before quitting. I've been grieving since as i miss him so. Thank you. It's like a little piece of him his still here.

And to think that the feeders used to come more than 2 times a week.im glad they stopped coming so often.they can ramp it up when it gets cold but let them forage more in warm weather

Dinky holding Dewy is precious, he just wants to spend time with his youngest lil bro before he has to leave again. I wonder if Dipidy was hollering because he wanted his brother's attention, it could also be that because he is 2 now he is recognizing what he's supposed to do when a rival troop is too close.
Maybe he warned the boys that Bossy's troop was coming.

I have no idea actually but that was what popped up on my head the moment he started it. Then I thought maybe he's trying to call for his family who wasn't there to show up to meet his brothers. I had difficulties hearing what kind of call he made. It sounded like two mixed together but the one I think it was is the one they use as a distress call when they want their mum, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, dad, nephews, nieces and everyone else to come and save them from something and scold the other monkey often it's just a play turned a bit too rough😁.

In monkey terms. I wonder how a monkey mother feels when she gives birth to a boy? They know in a short while they have to say goodbye to them. Yes. I maybe putting too much thought in this. But considering how smart these monkeys are and how they bond with their daughters , and they have excellent memory. I would think it would be difficult at least to some degree. I guess it shows us that in some ways monkeys are just built different than we are but yet similar in other ways. It was sweet to see the brief visit. I also think there's more brief visits than we know about. At least for the boys that didn't have to move to far away from their birth troops

Cora was such a beautiful baby. And Rena was so active, she was like a dynamo.
Fun times when they were able to visit Bossy's troop because of Taggy. I remember Cora eating an apple bigger than her own head

Most babies when seeing themselves in AM's camera lens are curious and start to lip smack but not Angy she chose aggression instead 😁. Maybe that's an indication of her personality. Time will tell.

Dopey and Knotty have turned into quite the handsome young males I have my heart set on Dopey becoming an alpha but he has a few more years and some knowledge to gain first and I am sure Knotty will follow his best friend. I believe Dopey is on the right path and staying close for a reason ❤
I think he's an alpha material too but I don't want him to become one. They often have a shorter time in a troop and then have trouble finding another troop to fit into when they've been ousted. I rather see him close to the top but not even as a beta.

You all are so knowledgeable about these troups, I find myself envious with a million questions. I must say you all have been so kind about answering my questions. ❤
I find the baby cuteness and everyone else so calming. I have had such a blessed life, but been hit with one loss after another at 55 and barley pick myself up before the next one comes. For whatever reason this either eases or distracts my grief. ❤ I have no idea why, but I'll take it.🙂
I would recommend you to watch some of AM's old videos. They go way back and you will get to know a lot. I still go back and watch his old videos. Wich you all the best 😊❤😍
@@valerienelson3296 I think Lilly might win the prize for oldest. She was Aggy's firstborn and was nearly 2 by the time Aggy cut her off completely. She skipped a year after Lilly's birth and was a soft-hearted first time mom.

How old is Reddy? Do we know? She's starting to look a little older.
@@venetabritt2771 I would guess her age to be getting close to 20. Her daughter Berty is looking middle aged and Bobby is long gone from the troop. She could have kids older than them, we just don't know. Berty was grown and sterilized by the time Dopey was born. She lost a baby daughter to the freezing temperatures the winter before Dopey came along, then she skipped the 2017 birthing season.
She is looking old and tired😢
She's not as old as Bossy, who's still having babies every year. That gives me hope that Reddy still has 5 or 6 more years of motherhood left in her.

Hi Monkey Hill Family. So glad to be back. I missed u guys. How are u all doing? I just got through watching AM's "Story So Far", by the way one of my favorite website, anyways I have three questions I need to have after watching it. The first question is.. did Reddy get pregnant in 2023, because in watching this video and others she doesn't look like it.
My second question is...did Sally have a girl this year, and didn't AM name her Sophia? The reason I'm asking is because when he showed Sally's new baby he first said that she was called Sophia then he said her name was Skippy. I thought Skippy was born in 2022.
My third question is..Why hasn't anybody given Bessie's new baby a name?
I know I've been out of the loop lately, but I didn't think I was that much.
Anyway, if any one can answer any of these questions I would really appreciate it.
P.S. I thought when Angie was looking at herself in the camera, and was trying to talk to herself was so adorable. I love how she flapped ears when she was trying to talk.

He seems to be in Skullheads troop but also taking care of his old boyband. In the end of this video you see him with Skullheads troop 😉
Skullhead's troop. But as a peripheral sentinel male soldier. Therefore will see the other males of boyband as they are trying to prove themselves. As long as no food around, hardly any fighting

Only time will tell whether he will be accepted permanently. He has been really lucky so far to have a troop he can tag along and have fun with.....
Dopey is still beautiful snd so is Knotty. Dopey's eyes set him apart. So glsd we got to see Dopey's Boy Band. So Annie's reign is over? How did that happen?
When they beg for food it’s sad. Why don’t they go forage. They don’t need to be This way. I’ve seen the underdogs go and forage and not cry like this. They have to go days without hoodies now so do they just sit there day after day crying ? The ones at 14:3; are not crying they are foraging.
They all forage. You are only seeing a snapshot of their life - from 3:30pm to 7 pm. They have all learnt to come to the road to beg for goodies near 5 pm each day for more than half a century. They live near a city, and they have learnt when people would come to feed them. You won't find many monkeys outside those hours.

Perhaps it should be Della, an older daughter of Dama. I don't see Annie's troop as often as i used to ( before the lockdown, once every 2 weeks, nowadays, once every month if I am lucky. Some of them I may not recognize right away especially the babies born during the lockdown)

Lowina's since there are only a few female that can get pregnant. only Pepper and Donna (before she went missing/presumed dead)... thank god for the next generation (Floffi, Fozzi & Demi + her younger sister). Maybe they have hope. But Danni unfortunately got sterilized.

They actually do store milk in their pouches as babies for practice sometimes. AM caught it on video years ago and someone in the comments pointed it out. I can probably find the video name if you'd like

Spankys baby Sammy’s left ankle is all red and on the same side half her bum is all red also, way more red than the other half
Why do they get ousted
When the boys reach a certain age, they are ousted to try and prevent inbreeding.
To prevent inbreeding. At around 4 yrs, give or take, they are ousted to find their own troop. Hopefully to become Alpha male one day
