Just out of interest, for the rolling shots of the bmw you did, did you use a CPL filter? as there’s very little glare on the windscreen

1080p 120 4.2.0 8bit come from the a7SIII exactly as it is, it is the same option on the a7SIII , actually the option of the a7IV are exactly what you get out of the a7SIII appart from the crop 60p and no 4K 120p h265 4.2.2 10bit ( yeah no all intra on the a7SIII ) ;) and the a7IV oversample every mode
Yeah I realised that mistake after the video, a mistake, lucky I'm not a brain surgeon 😂. Unsure why A7siii has 4.2.2 10bit at 4k 120p but not in 1080p. Yeah 7k image down sampled ✌️
@@CurtisPadley yes strange all 1080p other than 120 can be 4.2.2 10bit, there is also the strange no hevc (xavc-hs) in 25p and 30p

I thought the A7IV could shoot 120p 4:2:2 but only in S&Q. After a couple more months of use have you found this to be the case?
Would be one of my main reasons for considering the camera.

Great video, I’m not jealous, honestly. Looks like a great camera, out of my reach but maybe trading in my XT3 for the XT4 or Sony A7iii, mostly it’s the ibis I need and wouldn’t mind full frame but know it’s not necessary these days.
Pity you couldn’t drive the Ferrari around town mate but personally I’d shit myself, the slightest scratch would cost a bomb

@@CurtisPadley Just a bit, no disrespect but I do hate Corsa’s, learnt to drive in one and the accelerator was too near the wheel arch, kept having to bend my foot unless I had soft trainers on, and I’m a size 6-7. That as over 20 years ago though
I’m not surprised Sony only went cropped with 4k 60fps. If it was full frame it would make the a7siii redundant. You wouldn’t buy it just for the 4k 120fps
I have to disagree, if you look at the market there are other brands doing 4k 60 without a crop.
I would personally buy a Sony A7SIII even if the sony A7IV had no crop at 60 (if I had the money) because you are not just buying it for the 4k 120p
I shoot with the A7SIII on the regular and 4k 120p is a great tool that I use for certain projects.
But there are other tools that camera has which are of a huge benefit to video shooters. First off that dual native ISO which is absolute game changed, like hell that is amazing, when shooting video, not to mention 1080p at 240fps.
So no it wouldn't make the A7SIII redundant in the slightest.
They throw everything at it then it becomes to expensive.
