Great timing for this video. I'm at Donnington for my first visit this weekend for the BTCC. Will be there Saturday and Sunday so if you're there I'll look out for you. Great shots, and can't wait to get some panning shots myself.
Challenging conditions but you are well up to the task, Curtis. Fast paced vid matches event, useful tips. Panos on the diagonal add to the dynamic vibes. Hope you had something hot to warm up.😊 Cheers!
Hi Curtis, just a recommendation, if you go back to Donnington, as you walk in after paying and turn right straight away, you go up to the chicane and you can some awesome photos. And u can get them just at the top of the hill which looks super cool 👌🏻
Love the color grading 🔥Recently got recommended some of your previous videos from rally events, and I was thinking if you had a chance to use the Sony A7IV for motorsport filming? I'm looking for a hybrid camera, and you're actually one of the few people who shot a rally event and had a video on RUclips with the A7IV (or A7S III). Basically, I wanted to learn how it performs in terms of video. Or if anyone here has experience with motorsport videos using the A7IV, any opinion/recommendation would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
A7cii or the a6700. The AI AF is very much worth it. It’s sad sony doesn’t update there cameras with firmware they just make new ones with all the latest tech. I’d go for the newest camera knowing this.
Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks for the tips! 👍 I'm currently a Fuji user, where updates are frequent, but I want to switch to a different manufacturer. On my current camera, the XH1, the autofocus is absolutely terrible. Unfortunately, the new ones had not really convinced me - I had seen some product videos from Fuji themselves and the motorsports shots were quite bad :/
I need to come here with my A7Cii auto focus for cars would be fire for this! I did try get into Silverstone for F1 but they are very strict on who they let in haha
Which event was this at? Thanks for the tips on focus. I love motorpsort photography but always struggled a bit with focus. Deffo going to try tracking center spot! Are you at Donington this weekend for touring cars?
3:35 You changed the livery by that edit. I wouldn't have done that for official photos, I you've made it look as close to reality as possible, but it does look good with blue.
Your rainy videos let me start concerning about the lack of moisture resistance of many APS-C lenses. My body is water resistent but for example the Sigma 30mm 1.4, as well as many sony native lenses aren't. Have you ever used a non water resistant lens in light rain conditions? If so did you experience any issue?
Your previous panning video helped me out when I went to the f1 in July, ended up taking some of my best photos 🙌 Trying to understand the best tracks to get as close as possible to the action, did you have a press pass for donnington to slow you so close or was that general access with pit entry?
Ayyy that's great! Glad these tips where helpful! 🤙 This was just general admission, always find I get great access at Donnington but varies of course from event to event.
Hello Curtis, do you plan to sell LR presets in China, because I only know how to go online over the wall, and I don’t know how to handle payment cards, and the process of applying for payment cards is very cumbersome
Hey Curtis, how did you get to attend something like that? did you just turn up for a track day? or was this something they asked you to do? or maybe you just paid for entry? This sort of thing is always something I like the look of, but never sure how to get in there.
It was Britcar 6 hour race, I just went up cause I wanted to make some motorsport photography. I paid for general admission it was a super quite event, maybe due to heavy rain, but advantage for me cause the public had some close access to the pitlane and all areas of circuit. Donnington Park is always ideal for creators and spectators. Just see what's on the event calander and go to an event. Hope that helps mate 🤙😁
I have the 2x tele I use for my 70-200 mkii. If you want it in mint condition all boxed, I'd give you a good price on it. Give me a way to contact you if you are interested, I've barely used it. Cool vid
That intro was mindblowing
You do so many varieties of photography, which is great! Was wondering if you've ever done or would consider doing sports photography?
Love the shots!!!!!❤And thanks for the tips mate!!!
Absolutely epic POV 💯👏

Looked wicked and loving the results
Ayyy legend! Thanks mate! 🙌

Great shooting! New subscriber!!!
bro spawned into a lightroom filter wtf
What filter is on your lens? I just picked up a 70-200 gm ll looking to get a nice filter for the imsa race coming up! Great videos by the way!
You need 600mm lens for shooting more closely
great photos mate
next week i am going to buy a canon 6d and thats going to be my first full frame camera any opinion about it?
I would love to see a video on the editing workflow after you took these amazing shots. 🙂
Thanks! 😁 Definitely will do some video on editing process in future! 🤙
Is the weather ever any good or better where you live. It seems to be eternally overcast or raining.
Noooo ☔️😭 All we have is rain. This is the North in the UK. I can’t remember the last time I saw the sun 😂😂

Great pov as usual 👍🏻 I'm looking for a variable nd filter which one do you recommend please 🙏🏻 GOD BLESS
