I used to wish that I had lived a better life as a kid, but then I would not have worked as hard to have a better life for me and my son. Embrace your memories and know that you were truly blessed to live the life you did.

Looking good Rodrigo! For your stove, think outside the box. Instead of putting it up against the wall, why not set up an island with your stove incorporated in it. Take tape, and mark out all the cabinets, stove, refrigerator on the floor. This will assist you on how to design traffic flow, and you’ll get a feel for your kitchen.

Rodrigo- take some time to draw out your kitchen. Always overbuild, you will be surprised how much over time you use all the cabinets and drawers even if you live simply. Love the kitchen sink under that first window - that corner of the downstairs is perfect for your kitchen! And counter top space is always beneficial. In the future you will be growing lots of food, some you will have to preserve by canning and dehydrating. Adequate counter top space will come in handy for processing your foods and cabinetry for long term storage. Think forward!!! Love hugs and much praise! Nana Mother Medicine Music

The memories of you and your siblings washing in the creek and riding that horse will be your best memories when you are older. Those memories are not bad. Rodrigo! Do not ever feel your upbringing damaged you, i can remember visiting my beautiful Grandmas farm every entire summer, no electricity, outhouses, a pee pot at night, oil lamps, a beautiful old firewood stove for cooking, a lake nearby for swimming and washing up. It was the best years of my memories, cousins all around, uncles, aunts, joyous laughter, explorations in the forests, and hearing the guitars and music, and song come out as we as children nestled in to sleep, peaking down the floor grates from above , watching and hearing family celebrate every night. Deep in my heart i wish the olden days come back. Such family minded, yes chores etc, but family/community is where the heart always lives. Im so happy you are happy completing all your floor drains! That us a huge huge acvomplishment! I adore you, be proud of now! You are strong and beautiful because of how you were raised. Be proud of that too❤❤❤❤❤

Rodrigo, if you are considering placement of your sink, stove and refrigerator,, try designing a kitchen space, where each station; such as the sink and counter space, refrigerator and stove are approximately three footsteps within one another...A triangular layout works well in kitchens.
Use blue painters tape lto outline your kitchen design on the floor, Sowing the placement of each appliances. This can help you visualize the layout of the kitchen and placement... Simply have the measurements of your appliances, cabinets, etc.
Though in Feng Shui, the stove and sink should never be placed right next to one another other or directly across from one another; as the chi energy gets cancelled out! 😉
You are making great progress on your lovely home build!
Fun watching all of your hard work pay off! 😊 Enjoy the process! 💕

With my kittens/cats in the past. If I have trouble with them at night I do this... For about a week: play music or TV during the day when you are busy. Play with them as often as you can. They will sleep lightly, and should because cats sleep more hours of the day then humans. But after the day of noise and play, they should start sleeping at night, and it should become habit after the week.

In my opinion saying childhood trauma is a statement that leads to negative thoughts and feelings, as adults we have a choice to accept our childhood experiences as challenges we overcame and learned valuable lessons from or we choose to use them for our behaviours and feel sorry for ourselves in adulthood. Nothing can alter our past experiences but we can have an element of control over our future, i had a really hard childhood but in hindsight it taught me how to survive. Find the positive from your childhood experiences ❤️

Do you have/need a pipe going up , usually through the roof, to let gravity help the water/ waste travel down to tanks etc. I am in Canada we have a central 4” pipe all smaller drains fasten to for sewage and a central stack. I am not sure if horizontal ventilation pipes can do the same. It’s not a smell issue, it’s air helping water move down. K

Maybe it’s because of the plumbing codes you have there, but three tanks? We have only one huge tank to take care of all of our waste water and solids. TRUE FOR SEPTIC GRAY WATER DOES NOT MATTER

    • @JasonEdelman66

yeah 45 degree slope for Grey water should be good, for Septic 1/4" per 1 foot for proper water and solid drain out flow.
maybe having Grey water further up the hill can be better for watering plants/trees? Looking good keep up the hard work!!!

2” Plumbing should slope 1/4” for every foot it spans. So if your going 13’ your pipe should end up 3 1/4” below where is started. Just calculate where it started and where your ending and let the slope do it’s own thing. 😊 easy peasy!

Another point you need to check is that the comode line should have a slope of 1/2 bubble ( bubble in the level is cut into eequal parts by the line on the level)

yes sink in middle. If you put the stove there you have to remember that you will need a vent ABOVE the stove or you will have to open the window everytime you cook. Just throwin it out there :)

What about relocating the small tree between your septic system?
You don't need roots growing between the septic system . Everything is looking awesome. Good job !!!!
