**WARNING** Watch in 60fps or a few blinking game elements won't appear in this video! I'm not sure why RUclips is screwing this up
It's funny you mention that. I've been trying to capture Atari 2600 game footage and on playback I could never figure out why you couldn't see some of the images! Haha I know that wasn't the intent of this video, but thanks! Great job on the video like always by the way haha.
Well, if an on/off blinking cycle is 2 frames, then halving the framerate means you either see nothing or just a solid sprite.
Reminds me that my old Mario Bros videos are missing some sprite animation because this site cropped everything to 30 fps back then.
Thanks for the heads up, Chris. Watching in 1080p 60fps.
Might be why there black bars too
I’m glad to see the Irate Gamer despite all the stuff that has happen through the years still go strong!
It's been quite the road
@@irategamer You crawled though 13 years of sh!t slinging trolling foulness i cant even imagine. or maybe i just dont want to. 13 years... that the time frame of 4475 days. Just shy of a decade and 1/2. And in the end you came out clean on the otherside. Be proud of that Chris! yeah i totally ripped that from shawshank redemption lol. but its the best thing i can think of that described what happened to you.
@Akuma.69 i 100% agree and now hes as i said above in a way reborn!
Nothing beats an IRATE Episode on a Saturday. Thanks Chris.
It's Friday though...
@@TheChrisManChan It's possible for someone to be into a Saturday while you are in a Friday. Time zones exist.
Don't lie to the man.
@@southernmercy5962 Im in ASIA Idiot!
I bet you used to say the same thing to James😅😅😅❤❤❤
That pause when getting hit in Chuck Wagon looks brutal!
I don't know if I speak for everyone, but I enjoy these episodes very much, the Atari era and all references like the Kool Aid stuff take me back to the 80's and I love the ride very much. I love that era of my life. Thanks Chris for the hard work, many things have changed with the times and many people have moved on to other things, but you keep the machinery going, even if it's at a slower pace for obvious reasons.
I’m surprised a dog food company and even Johnson & Johnson made a video game! But Kool Aid making a video game isn’t too bizarre, because at least Kool Aid Man breaking walls and fighting enemies is a concept for a video game! Oh Yeah!
i love chris' upbeat attitude, videos always a pleasure to watch
Atari's Gauntlet reminds me of the first two levels of the first Back to the Future NES game.
One of the final OG channels I can still look forward to watching!
Great to know!
@@irategamerHey Chris guess what. General Mills made a new monster cereal called Carmella Creeper.
You're sure good at finding the most obscure games in existence. I love it!
God, I'm so happy you're still going. You're like this steadfast pillar of the golden era. Thank you, Chris.
Great video. I remember doing a mail order for a game named GORF around 1981 or 82...think it was an ad in comic book. We sent in the ad alomg with $5 and it was pretty decent... definitely not as wacky as these titles. 😂
You're such a classic! Underrated.
Irate one of the few left doing this style of video. I appreciate it
Always with the classics! Gotta love these moments in gaming history. Great work Chris!
I wish your vids would get more views like old times. Its always a treat when I see a new video !
Yeah me too. RUclips isn't the same anymore. But I'm happy with my current fanbase.
This was a great one for Atari fans! Very nice production values.
Always an enjoyable time! Great video.
Your videos are always amusing. Thanks for your hard work and contribution.
I was watching Family Guy and there was a scene where Brian the dog started chasing a wagon out of nowhere. So THIS is where it comes from
Why all the sudden that I want to brush my teeth now? Great video Chris😅
Always happy to see new episode
What a great episode! I missed this!
Hey thanks. I get nostalgic for old RUclips too
Chris, I’m glad you are reviewing games again. I know you’ve made a bunch of videos since this but, you are amazing.
Many thanks. It's been fun
These mail-in games were/are so corny, yet there is still a certain charm to them. Also, I remember the Kool-Aid Man Atari game from when you reviewed it back in 2010. Seeing it again in this video brought back memories of that review. Anyway, it was neat to see you play all of these weird and bizarre games, and, I agree, Gauntlet DOES look like an overhead version of Pitfall. This was another very fun review. Looking forward to more in the future!
Awesome episode Chris!
Some of the games I’ve never heard of! Fantastic episode Irate ⭐️
Great episode as always!!!!
Another awesome upload! Keep it up Chris, you're crushing it 🤙
Thanks for the video dude.
Ayyyeee nice original idea Chris. Much love to you my guy
Wow glad to see you again
the fact that you never changed your intro in many years is respectable
Great video ❤
Love the videos man! Keep them coming!
I'm trying. Time is always an issue
I hear some reviewers and game historians say that this game was also a big contributor to the videogame crash of 83, but I feel like that's largely over exaggerated as there were many other issues.
It's not like this game was sold at retail sitting next to games such as E.T., Pacman, Defender, StarMaster or any Imagic titles. As you said this game was sold through the mail if you bought Chuck Wagon products.
What is known is that the product was rushed even faster than E.T. and unfortunately flopped.
The developer Mike Schwartz said he was contracted to do it within a week by order of Purina and Spectravision. He put the whole game together in about 3 days and used the same code, graphics, and sound effects as the game Artillery duel. He has said that he dislikes the game as well.
Also like I said, the promotion was a flop, and any unsold copies were scrapped a few months later.
Right on man. Great episode.
Good review. I hope to still see one where you review a game with AVGN. I think that would be awesome.
I didn't expect this.😆
Sweet another video!!!!!
Was absolutely weirded out because I wasn't watching in 60fps. LOL
Nothing was showing up! 😂😂
shoot, I was worried that might happen
LOL great video!
Very nice, funny episode! Just a bit short
It was over 10 min long!
Thanks Chris!
Great content, man.
I Love All the Video Games I Enjoy it so much that I Like a lot Thank You Chris for Uploading Video Games.
That was awesome Chris 👏👏👏 i only knew about the kool aid game and only because of your older video😂🤣😂!!! a Johnson and Johnson game!?!a Purina game!?!well you know what they say-you get to learn something new everyday!!!
Great video fodder for sure
My boy outchea lookin like Grandfather Bores
Take care of yoself, Chris.
Awesome 👏🏾😆
Always love more irate gamer! My inspiration to getting into game reviewing
I could swear that Chris has already done an Irate Review of the Kool-Ade Man game.
HE HAD

The dental game skit got a laugh out of me.
Oh yes please!!!! You tha man Chris 👍👍
Now all you need is some Chuck Wagon Gang 8 tracks playing in the background 🤣🤣
Interesting to see some rare Atari games that you have to mail in for.
YOU"RE BACK!!!!????😱
That Tooth Protectors game sure was bizarre… nice one Chris!
I was actually expecting some kind of rip-off of Activision's Plaque Attack, but no, it's a completely original game.
15 year later bro still did it :)
Right before the fire Irate Gamer logo there's a clip of you and James together where you have a Jurassic Park shirt on where is that from?
good video 👍
Irate gamer is the TOM BRADY of game reviewers...hes the hated GOAT..his views are low not because of quality but because haters that claim he is a copy cat🎉🎉🎉🎉
Glory days long gone
I didn't even know that Kool-aid man was a mail order game. That game was easy to find for me. I got my copy at a flea market.
Me nether
I RATE this a 11/10. This is grrrreat!
so do you already own all these games? Or do you get ahold of them before you start making the video?
Chase the Chuck Wagon looks like it would actually be pretty fun if they fixed the collision issues by having your character snap to a grid.
Oh YEA, I member my parents mailing in for the Cool-Aid game.
It's funny because his movies are now much more fun than AVGN..
Nothing like some Chris Bores Irate Gamer Kino
irate gamer is my life
I got to say Chris bores This video looks really cool and awesome intro looks awesome
Cool
hey Irate Gamer, have you ever considered doing a collab with erinplays or mike matei?
Name of the background music that plays at 0:10?
Brother Bores is Best. Still love the videos.
More IG episodes! ❤
Hey Irate Gamer my name is Wesley and I noticed that you have some Pixel Art characters from some Video Games on the wall behind you can you please tell me how and where did you get them.
PS, I can make alot of Video Game characters from Nintendo / Sega Genesis Games from perler beads and if you want Me to I can make some for you and send them to you, so what do you think.
I made those long ago from wood
6-8 weeks for shipping?? 😮 🤯
If the Kool-Aid Man game for Atari got revisited, like how Monster Cereals and Kool-Aid in general got revisited, could this mean the Irate Gamer might revisit other games, because I’d like to see Yoshi’s Cookie and Adventures in the Magic Kingdom get reviews.
Anything is on the table
yep 60fps is recommended to watch
Great finds of games! I didn't even know they existed
I got my copy of Chase the Chuck Wagon off a person who ordered it when she was a kid... she had the instruction manual included but sadly she Chuck'd the box. 😁 But its still cool to have in my collection!
***likes aggresively***
Sometime need big recording machine because black bars
We’re dog catchers also suicide bombers back in 1983?
Is it me or was that Popeyes them in kool-aid
8:21 Among Us
I think this will be the best Irate Gamer episode. To me, at least. Edit: It was good, but it was a bit short. I think Chris should make a long episode about Advertisement Games.
I cant make them that long anymore. Too much time
9:05 Am I the only one that thinks this looks similar to “Back to the Future” on NES?
That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw that game. At least it doesn't have that annoying short-loop background music!
Oh yeah, now that you mention it...
Want a better tooth protector game play plaque attack on the 2600!!
Amazing ✊🏽 💋👌
Can you review fnaf 1
8:52 need the game review
Hey can you do gijoe
Gteat video
Do more bideos
I recognize that koolaid game from somewhere. I remember the guy did a pretty funny review where koolaid man kept breaking through the wall and would say "Oh Kay" in a similar style as "oh yeah" after being scolded, and he had sone synonym for "angry" in his name. I wish I remembered who it was.
Lol, it was time for a refresher
I can't believe this only has 11K views. I'd take a 10 minute video like this over a 25 minute+ boring video filled with terrible acting and unfunny jokes that some other Angry reviewer puts out nowadays.
I pissed RUclips off in 2012 and it's never been the same since.

That Chuck wagon game looks like azz lol
