I'll be living in Tokyo for a year as a student it'd be awesome if the Edo-Tokyo Museum reopens while you're there. It's definitely worth a visit. Saw it in 2019.
I'm stationed in Japan right now and I can tell you that it's stupid cheap compared to the States at the moment. Living in southern/western Japan and being able to go to Osaka, Kyoto, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Nara, Hakaido, and Tokyo is pretty cool since a Shin only costs between 60 - 120 dollars per ticket.
I can't go next year due to other commitments and am already planning to go to Japan with my friends in 2026, but I will be watching and thinking about joining you on other trips to other places in the future.
