im following the series in order and this is the first game i completed without looking at the walkthrough ! i couldn't believe i got to the ending so i came to see if it's the same 😭 im so grateful to have found this series rn
Same here lol, I didn't even took a single hint completed the game in approx 30min or so. So far I must say that Seasons is the most difficult one. Especially winter where there's time travel element and worse of all using that hanger to get that key lets be honest no one should have think to put it behind the radio to get that fucking key to free the parrot and then use the same music played in that radio to get that final fuel from the parrot, it's literally 220iq moment I hate it but love it so much too, hate it cuz it didn't spark in my head how to free the Bird, I was sure that its something related to the Bird but how Idk
With black door - you need to know how much KG weights objects, we know at start that Drums weight 1 and hummer 3, using scales we can learn how much other objects weight. (Sorry for bad English).
Just wanted to let you know that I am having so much fun with these games, I've played Lake, Seasons and just finished this one. Keep up the amazing work- best IoS game I've ever had the pleasure of playing
Abhinandan Vasudeva its a whole different genre, comparing rusty lake to it is like comparing a duck to a chicken and saying one tastes better than the other
lol after I got into the grey room I looked in the mirror I saw the black figure and I was like NOOOOOOOO got the gun and tried to shoot them 😂 I didn’t actually know you were supposed to do it 😂 😂
So far this has been the easiest for me. I figured it all out within a few hours without a walkthrough, i even figured out the clue on how to pick the right liquid combination for the bottles etc. The weight one required a little trial and error but used logic to get the first couple of numbers, then just went through all the possible combinations until I correctly picked the last two, which only took a few minutes. Enjoyed this one. This is a great series with surreal storylines, and quite pythonesque in places.
@@ShesChipsYummyJust compare them and yeah sometimes you will think that its balanced and assign wrong numbers to the weights, to measure with accuracy plz look at the top that long rod if that's parallel and straight it means the weight are equal, and then just put the numbers
Except the first part the Seasons (where I only used hint to get that key to freed the Bird) I solved all of them without any hints or walkthrough only came here to know what others talking, btw I used to play similar kinda games when I was kid so Idk maybe that helps but yeah this series is so good
I did everything that was mentioned but I feel like something is missing since I got no "Thanks for playing" message. What do I have to do after i open the door and The Starry Night appears?
I really enjoy these games however some of the logic behind the puzzles really frustrates me, for example the whole ear in the bowl (how would I ever know?) Then the drinks in the right order and finally the weights and door code.
The drinks aren't random either. If you look at the painting on the top left it has a sketch of the table with drinks. The cups either have diagonal, horizontal or vertical lines. If you go to the sketch of the three bottles (next to the picture with the letters on it), it assigns either diagonal, horizontal or vertical to the absinth, wine and jug.
Better explanation: Since the weight of the drum and the hammer are already predetermined, which is (1) for the drum and (3) for the hammer, you need to compare them by using object combinations on the scale: Like.. Assume the drum weighs the same as the small shell, so.. 1 = 1, hence the first number of the code is 1 And for the second one, assume that the stamp weighs the same as both of the hammer and the small shell combined. Since the small shell is equals to (1) and the hammer is equal to (3), we could assume the same goes for the stamp, which is (4). Hence, the second number is 4. And since the stamp weighs (4), we could move onto the next one. Let's assume that the stamp along with the drum combined makes up (5), and put the large shell and assume it having the same weight as the two. Since it is equal, the answer is (5). Now we have 1, 4, and 5. For the last one, since the large shell is 5, we could assume that the anvil weighs more than that (or by using the hammer on the right side since it is the one that weighs the most right below the large shell which is also logical enough since we can't use the small shell obviously, we could combine it with the large shell, so, 5 + 3 = 8). And since it is now equal with the anvil in terms of weight, the answer is 8. The anvil weighs 8, so now we have all the numbers for the code. 1, 4, 5, 8 Thank me later.
antichristliche Aktion The painting is actually on a wall in Case 23, and not Seasons. In addition to that, the background music for Arles is in the last room of Case 23, before the creepiness sets in. Case 23 comes later than Arles, so I wouldn't have noticed. In addition to that, my point was that this game was barely related to the others. In addition to being before the other games, it really has nothing to contribute to the overall story. It doesn't even have that shadow guy that appears in all of the other games. All it has is a figure that looks similar. I just have one more thought. On the subject of relations in between Rusty Lake games, I've seen Rusty Lake Hotel (in a few videos since I've never bought the game for myself) and noticed a reference to both Harvey's Box and Case 23. Mr Owl, who is a character in Rusty Lake Hotel who first appears in The Mill, thanks you for delivering Harvey. In addition to that, the man in the elevator that appears just before ending the game is detective Dale Vandemeer from Case 23.
It's a really common type of game. The rule is: one flower is connected to some of what next to it (figure it out). When you click one flower, that flower and the other connected to it change (bloomed to withered and vice versa). The aim is to make every flowers withered.
okay this one, theater & lake are the only cube escape where i did everything without looking up for clues, it’s the least complicated - compared to paradox ep 2
Seriously why am so still stuck on the scale puzzle in some of the rusty lake cube escape series it looks like it’s so easy for everyone don’t know how maybe someday in the future I might be able to figure it out? Man I wish I could do this without walkthrough
That one gave me some trouble as well. It's all math. You basically just make estimations like you know the drum is one, so you compare it to the little shell, and it looks about the same. From there, you just keep weighing different things and change your guess based on that. It's a bit confusing to explain.
What is going on around minute 3:41 with the bottles, the absinthe, the wine, and the water? If anyone has any resources to step by step walkthrough for rusty lake games as opposed to videos, I'd be really appreciative. I really love these games, but they're not always the most intuitive. I like that it gets you to think outside the box, but coming from an escape room background, some of these are WAY out of the box! But I love that games, books, and movies can do that. I wish there was some sort of hinting system to help you along your way instead of having to default to walkthroughs to just get the answer.
There's an order between the objects and the numbers 1 to 8. Each object is a number (that's why the drum is number 1 and etc...), but to find out the conection, you have to use balance, ex.: If the drum is number 1, then a heavier object would be 2,3,4,...,8. Hope I helped you.
I don't know why they don't tell us about the artists in our schools, like in some countries. Our art subject is just boring work. how much i envy you 🌚💔
I discovered the solution by accident, but then I learned that this is one of the (many) methods of drinking absinthe: pour it onto a sugar cube placed on a perforated absinthe spoon. Van Gogh was a huge fan of this alcoholic beverage, that much I knew before playing this puzzle, so it kinda made sense.
I can't understand about the flower puzzle, anyone can explain it to me? Like, I'm clueless about which sunflower I should touch, or is it touch randomly?
I've just found out about this wonderful game but I have a small struggle. There are several achievements after game but what are they and where to find them, bc I still missed 2 of them? Thanks
Every item has different weight. Drum = 1. Drum weights 1. Hammer = 3. Hammer weights 3. Use hooks to figure out others. If hooks are same position then left = right. 😊
The answer for that is the weight of each item. The drum 🥁 is 1 (kg I assume) and the hammer 🔨 is 3, taken from the greyish black door. So now you have to find out the weight of the rest item. The drum is equally to the small shell 🐚 ( so it's 1). The triangle thingy is equal to the small shell + the hammer so 4. The big shell is equal to triangle thingy + drum so 5. And the big metal thing is 8. That is the answer to the riddle. For the unopened safe, this game belongs to a series Cube Escape, and in my experience, some of the safe are just for show.

Lol my first reaction after seeing that ghost was directly shooting him, glad it worked😂😂🤣
That order of drinks thing got me.
I struggled so much with the flower
3:56 That pixel hunting really got me...
where did you see the question mark? and how did you know that it should be colored black?
edit: nevermind, its at the ear
where do you get the gun? I don't see that anywhere
Ohh it's what you pick up in front of the tunnel!
+Brianna DelCampo You are getting it while traveling through the ear.
The bowl actually has an outline of an ear in it, definitely looks like a random swirl pattern though
The weights aren’t random it says the weight of the drum and hammer from there you compare the weights using the balance pretty clever actually
Better explanation:
Since the weight of the drum and the hammer are already predetermined, which is (1) for the drum and (3) for the hammer, you need to compare them by using object combinations on the scale:
Like..
Assume the drum weighs the same as the small shell, so.. 1 = 1, hence the first number of the code is 1
And for the second one, assume that the stamp weighs the same as both of the hammer and the small shell combined.
1, 4, 5, 8
Thank me later.
so i opened the door but accidentally closed before giving palette and now i cant open it
If its the other door(the one where your friend paul is) your not supposed to open it again
Ok, now I know I could've never come up with all these things on my own... I feel so delighted, but also very stupid
This game is my favorite so far. This is episode 3 right? I'm gonna download the next one
How is this game related to the others? Also, I'm glad that this game wasn't as creepy as the others.
Van Gogh's room painting is on a wall in The Seasons, if I remember well.
antichristliche Aktion The painting is actually on a wall in Case 23, and not Seasons.
Vincent Van Gogh was in a mental institution and some of his paintings are in the game as well.
It was over before I knew the game even started good. No wonder there's so many cube games
I cant get the sunflowers to make the other flower grow 😡
It's a really common type of game. The rule is: one flower is connected to some of what next to it (figure it out). When you click one flower, that flower and the other connected to it change (bloomed to withered and vice versa). The aim is to make every flowers withered.
@waternotcoffee i tried it randomly too but couldnt get it :/ is there a way to know the correct order?
i love the rusty lake games
okay this one, theater & lake are the only cube escape where i did everything without looking up for clues, it’s the least complicated - compared to paradox ep 2
David Lynch developed this?
Lol that's exactly what I thought
In the ear room I first went into the left door and I had 3 knives. What was that supposed to mean? P.S. passed without walkthrough)
the paint by symbols part was very therapeutic ngl. also that ear? the shade
YESS I’m so happy I got the ear door code right
3:45 i don’t understand why
oh my gush.. i was just supposed to place the pallete on the frame.. my only mistake
aha same, I tried to place it everywhere possible except the frame. I felt so stupid when I saw the nail on the frame.
this is my 3rd cube escape game and the math puzzle and the bottles are the hardest yet
I cant quit the black cube
4:50 why exactly these numbers? Could someone explain it to me?
There's an order between the objects and the numbers 1 to 8. Each object is a number (that's why the drum is number 1 and etc...), but to find out the conection, you have to use balance, ex.: If the drum is number 1, then a heavier object would be 2,3,4,...,8. Hope I helped you.
@@abbg7220 that's smart, thanks
@@imjustann7273 You're welcome!
I don't know why they don't tell us about the artists in our schools, like in some countries. Our art subject is just boring work. how much i envy you 🌚💔
4:05 ,i don't understand this minigame, help?
0:25
I can't find this piece of the picture, it's not in that place
Wtf at 1:10, how we are supposed to know that ? I don't understand, it is a real process in painting or it's something else ?
I discovered the solution by accident, but then I learned that this is one of the (many) methods of drinking absinthe: pour it onto a sugar cube placed on a perforated absinthe spoon. Van Gogh was a huge fan of this alcoholic beverage, that much I knew before playing this puzzle, so it kinda made sense.
Catalin Bita oh okay haha, thanks, I was thinking that he use absinthe for painting x)
I was having a hell of a time with the letter abbreviations lol
After I finished this game, I wanted to play it again and I had to star again from the beginning..
I played season and this doesn’t happen??
Help.
I can't understand about the flower puzzle, anyone can explain it to me? Like, I'm clueless about which sunflower I should touch, or is it touch randomly?
Me 2 idk
Just do it randomly until they're all small. It took me around 6-7 min
Me playing this game: how did I get a cube from a hexagon? You know what just don’t question it
A hexagon is a cube on an angle
rusty, your games are nice
I feel so smart because I was able to figure out the code to the door without help
Wtf, the absinthe isn't under the pillow on my game :( I'm so confused
Did u find it?
What the flip i can't find the last piece of image of the dark blue painting?????
Is in the sugar cube
@@Spacesh-p.218 i had to restart the game to complete it
@@VincentWordsworth Oh wow.
4:56 how did u understand this
please someone answer
Just compare the weights of drum and hammer with other stuff
Simple maths, if the drum weighs 1 and the small shell also does, the shell is 1,and from that point you should figure it out
I've just found out about this wonderful game but I have a small struggle. There are several achievements after game but what are they and where to find them, bc I still missed 2 of them? Thanks
Can someone explain me the ear thing please? Ik i'm so stupid 😭
can someone explain how did 4:11-4:58 happened?? i don't get it 😅
why is my room in the dark?... the black stuff gets lost in the background...
Rusty Lake, you complete me. Oh how I love thee.
Does anyone know what the question mark in the left corner of the 3:55 is? I'm very curious, pls tell me what is it 😭
This indicates the color BLACK of the cube on that painting which you need to color with a brush and the palette from Paul.
the window with sky lake view has no impact in this chapter
It unlocks an achievement and is nice to look at
4:04 I got stuck in that part of the game and I couldn't get out of anything now that I see the video I still don't understand
Every item has different weight.
Drum = 1. Drum weights 1.
Hammer = 3. Hammer weights 3.
Use hooks to figure out others. If hooks are same position then left = right. 😊
You can get away with lost of stuff rusty lake but I will not accept grabbing a cube from a painting of a hexagon
hi do these games have to be played in an order
Haha i got the black cube first because im just randomly guess the question mark colour. XD
I still don't understand the weighing puzzle. Can please someone explain?
What was the brush for?
To clean letters on the green table.
What is the music used in this game?
Hey, may you fix this glitch?
When i cut the ear off i got 4 knifes and it ruins my inventory. Please fix this!!( its in the cube collection
on the painting part do you have to be exact?
4:36 can someone explain this? I didn't get this😅
I'm slow okay, but I still have to ask. How did you get the code? And another, you still have 1 more safe box that you didn't open.
Te falto señalar el por que pintaste de negro el hexágono con el signo de interrogación, ese signo de interrogación esta en una parte negra cuando vas pasando por el oído 👂
