I thought they had corrected the translation from future devil. He said Aki would die a horrific death. The worst possible death.
To be fair, to future devil that will be awesome to watch and it is very excited to see that, so it's not wildly off.
Especially when you have read the manga (or otherwise already know what happens to Aki). His conversation with the Future Devil carries a lot more weight when you actually know what is in his future. That's good writing.
i never understood the complains since all Devils enjoy human suffering, so it's clear what the Future Devil means by "will fucking rule". It means he will be enjoying it, not you.

Why on earth would you hear "Your death will fucking rule" and think "I bet I'm going to go out like a badass" and not "Oh fuck, the ceiling above me is going to cave in from the weight of the spiders"

Btw the future devil telling aki his death will rule is a mistranslation. In the manga he says that aki will die in the worst way imaginable. Also angels a guy

Clarification: Future does not say Aki's death will "rule", he says that he will die in the worst possible way. The translators probably messed up because the words for "it rules" and "it is the worst" are very similar when spoken aloud in Japanese.
They just start the same way, it was straight up either incompetence or intentional.
@@ch1dd They're fairly similar: "The wost" is saiaku and "the best" is saiko. If they were working on a tight time frame, the translators probably assumed he said saiko because he was chanting "Mirai Saiko" earlier in the same scene.
@@powersofdestruction5694 i think you're almost definitely right, and crunchyroll is kind of infamous for not having enough translators and overworking the ones they do have, so mistakes like that get made sometimes by employees who are probably exhausted and trying to work as fast as possible

@@powersofdestruction5694 An amateur can tell by ear that it's different, and if they're working by script-only instead they would notice the second kanji is different. But you argue that it's the sound when spoken, or about a tight time frame, when the words only start the same and have different number or syllables, and the line is at the start of the episode. There's no defending this, they take their liberties all the time, this one was no different.

Nice vids guys , so about the devils . The devils are like basic devils but when they die they go to hell until they either make a contract with a human or reincarnated. The reason snake girl had ghost devil was because she made a contract with it . Basically if you die your devil doesn’t entirely die but they can go host to host . Contracts are a serious deal in chainsaw man anyone can literally have the same powers it just depends on the host .
It's probably the divine retribution that angels bring. Maybe that's why there an angel devil.

My best guess is the angel devil is a fallen angel, like satan, in Christian mythology. Also checkout hells paradise, the manga artist for hells paradise worked for chainsawman’s manga artist before branching off on his own to create hells paradise

Every devil exists regardless of their physical form, as long as people are afraid of the physical thing. The zombie devil is still around because people are still afraid of zombies. People are also afraid of angels so that explains angel devil.
This confused me tho. If I recall correctly the devil's cycle back in after death, not that their powers consist due to fear. The eternity devils special dimension dissipated after death and they said as much. So why would the zombies exist after denji killed em? I guess it's a side effect of zombification but still seems a lil shaky
@King Sora I assumed people could still make contracts with devils evil though they, "die." Like how fox devil got recked but other hunters can still have contracts with her. Maybe the zombie devil is a special case
@@kingsora6352 there are a few solid possibilities IMO. i think the most likely one is just that the act of infection is the ability and then the result is permanent - like, rather than an active effect that's maintained, the power is used to enact a biological change, and after that the zombie devil isn't necessary, because the zombies aren't staying zombies as the result of an active ability but have just Become Zombies now so they stay that way. also possible that it's an exception due to the nature of the fear of zombies, where in the majority of zombie outbreak stories (movies, shows, etc), the original source of the outbreak isn't all that important after it happens because the new zombies just keep existing and infecting new victims, so maybe the standard devil ability rule doesn't apply for that reason. the last possibility that i personally think is also very plausible involves manga spoilers and isn't stated directly in the manga but would definitely make sense as well but i'm not willing to even slightly risk spoiling anything, not even by putting it like 25 lines down after a spoiler warning

Some things to note about the world in this episode:
1. Aki has a new sword: notice that this one isn't a nail and Curse Devil doesn't appear when he uses it.
2. While Angel Devil has angelic features, there's no other hint of anything other than devils or humans existing in this world. After all, if angels existed the Devil Hunters wouldn't be making deals with other devils.
3. Aki's deal with Future gives us a glimpse into the mind of a devil that contracts themself with Public Safety: their logic is that by doing so, they get to experience all the pain, suffering, and fear of contracted hunters while being safe from rival devils and presumably fed every so often to keep them in line.
Devils are manifestations of people's fear. The Angel Devil just means that enough people are afraid of angels that a devil that looks like an angel appeared.

Devil in this world is more like physical manifestation of fear. That's why the more their name is feared, the stronger they became. That's why devil with names like zombie, snakes and ghost is considered stronger than devil that has the name like sea cucumber or tomato. And this also the reason why I don't think angel exist in this world. The angel devil probably exist because people feared the concept of higher being like angel. And it's not impossible for a concept to become devil as the concept of infinity or internity is already an existing devil.
