To show a commitment, we need to be thoroughly prepared and comfortable with the piece. I often feel hindered to express fully because I worry about a few difficult spots either shifting or bowing so end up a conservative playing. I could choose easy pieces but we can’t be stuck in elementary pieces? I always choose slow, romantic pieces as I struggle with fast passages. I avoid playing them even though I practise finger agility exercises and can do short fast groups like in orchestra part, it falls apart when I play a solo piece. 😩

I'm always trying to keep the samples short for the sake of viewer retention haha, but I appreciate that, thank you :) With musical commitment, try to start implementing it before you necessarily think you're "ready". Start ingraining it into your playing even in the beginning stages of learning a piece, so that it's not a separate layer- you're building it in from the beginning. And as for fast passages... I think our heads are often the problem. They can get in the way and disrupt our flow. Fast passages really require a sort of zen mindset! Good luck and thanks again :)

I want these kind of videos for piano. All there of piano content is, how to play those silly pop songs and how to fake play. I don't want quick playing tips, I want to actually know how to express myself on the keyblard and not sound mechanical
Please watch the movie “The Art Of The Violin” None of it applies to the Suzuki method. Also the movie “From Mao to Mozart” is an excellent informative guide.
Excellent Suzuki style of playing! Clean focused and controlled. Always playing in the middle part of bow. However, the traditional conservatory style of playing uses the whole bow. Playing at the frog and tip enables proper bow distribution. If you watch the best concert violinists, they do not use a Suzuki style of bow technique. Most violin conservatories look down upon the Suzuki style of playing. Russian School is the best. I am usually concert master of many ensembles and orchestras. Conductors always have told me that Russian Schooled violinist make the best concert masters. Suzuki style of playing is best for section violin in an orchestra. Suzuki has a small controlled sound with no personality. Suzuki players do not have a good spiccato. A Suzuki soloist will always lose to a Russian soloist.

Sure! This can vary from player to player, also depending on the level of the player. But it’s most common to write in fingerings and bowings.
Also any reminders to yourself- things you tend to forget!
