Amazing video I do indeed need help though, very confused at the moment. My goal is to achieve a stereo mix using ECAMM LIVE. I understand that in Ecamm live in order to get stereo I have to check mark input 1 and 2 in audio preferences. BUT will the rodecaster be recognized as input 1 and 2 in Ecamm by just simply plugging up the rode caster to my laptop into USB 1 ? if I run 4 things into the rode caster pro will Ecamm automatically pick it up stereo because of the simple fact the rode caster usb 1 input feature? please help thank you :)
You can do it but its is very complicated, this is because you would need to use both Rodedcaster pro connections simultaneously to have ecamm record stereo. much easier to record the stereo in the rodecaster pro itself
I’m going to set mine up this way. I set mine up using Chat however I don’t have control over my sound effects (music). I hear it in my earbuds the change when adjusting my fader but it doesn’t reproduce when I record or go live. I have to manually adjust in ECAMM.
Thanks for this. I do have a question. Wouldn't it be more advantageous to use RODECaster Pro II Chat as the input/output source for ecamm? Seems like that would give you more options for bringing other apps into the production while having mix minus functionality. Say for bringing a zoom meeting for example, I can use USB 2 as my input/output and add to a fader. Still trying to get my head around the most ideal scenario for my workflow. Thanks!
That's the beauty of this device, you can use both at the same time. While your main audio is set to Ecamm Live, you can set different programs to the Chat Channel and bring it in to your mix. Hope that helps 👍🏽
What I notice with Ecamm and my Rode Wireless Pros is that the audio DB is always a lot lower than when I record directly to my camera. Is there a fix for this? I purchased a Streamer X to think the amp would help. Any ideas here?
Just seeing this. I don't know if you have figured it out already!? but you would have to increase the DB/Record level in your camera to get the increase in audio. Hope this helps.
To do so, you'll have to route each channel separately one to RODE Duo Main stereo, the second to RODE Duo chat. then select both in ecamm. (Main Mic + Second Mic)
if you don't route the channels Krisp will eliminate any sound effects, music, and anything that is not spoken word. if you want to use the RCP ii to its fullest with Krisp, you'll have to route the channels.
Usually, the chat channel is set for secondary audio eg. Discord, and Zoom. I use the chat channel to route my sound effects because I also use Krisp. check out what I'm talking about. ruclips.net/video/DJ4HtU_zgWY/видео.htmlsi=MAHTr5_J7ypEyWxQ ruclips.net/video/qzf3As6dkyc/видео.htmlsi=T44YSZKW76YwLgfO

If you’re using the beta software, the latest version gives you control over all output sounds as well 👍🏽

Thanks 👊🏽👏🏽
Thank you kindly Luis, I'm literally on my way to pick my RCPII now 👊🤌🙌 Will follow the wise advice!
I think you will absolutely love this System. Your microphone and guitar connected to one system should make things a lot easier for you. 👏🏽

I can’t get Ecamm to get isolated tracks from my rode duo. I have it in multitrack mode
To do so, you'll have to route each channel separately one to RODE Duo Main stereo, the second to RODE Duo chat. then select both in ecamm. (Main Mic + Second Mic)
I can’t hear what is coming out of Ecamm when my sound output (Mac) is on RCP II main. I have to go back to Mac Mini speakers as output to hear.
Do you own a set of desktop speakers?
@@MrCameraJunkie No I don’t, but it worked. I called Rode and the tech walked me through it, but I’m going to get some speakers as well.
Why do you have to do the map to channels left and right?

I guess I don’t know what Krisp is.

@@MrCameraJunkie oh ok, I’ll never use that.
Why not Chat II?
