I think the real cause is that ABC aired these episodes on at inconsistent times, or during the hours when other more prominent shows like Person of Interest was airing.
Writing in 2022, I know it's probably too late to revive the TV series, given that Ioan has probably aged visibly. But I'd really love to see *some* sort of continuation! TV tie-in is a *huge* category of book sales these days, what we need is a really good writer or writers. They did it with "Forever Knight" for a little while - first novel they hired a professional author, but the next two they picked the very best of the fanfic writers and hired them to do full-length novels. Genuine, published novels by our favorite ficcers! Whoever owns the rights now, I have to wonder what other shows they own rights to? Put out a line of TV Classics! Start with a novelization of the first episode or two for several different series that were cancelled too soon, then see which sell the best, and carry on with them. It would appeal to the corporate money-making side, since they might be able to make more money off of what are currently dead properties, and they could take full advantage of online fandoms to push sales up. We won't mind being used if it gets us more of the stories and characters we love!! The other option that could still work is audio plays. Big Finish has been doing Doctor Who stories for decades now, but they've also done old shows like Blake's 7, The Tomorrow People, and Dark Shadows. An actor can keep playing a character that doesn't age for decades, no problem! It doesn't take nearly as long to record an audio play, so it's easier to fit them into the actors' schedules, another huge roadblock for most revival/reunion attempts. Audible has done full-cast productions of The Sandman, among others, so they might be another option, but Big Finish has the experience and since they're smaller they wouldn't need as many sales to consider the shows a success. Dang, I think I need to visit their both at Chicago TARDIS this fall and actually try to convince them to at least see if the rights are available….

Yes, a wonderfull series. But as other scientific based TV mystery shows the heros had been to intelligent and independant for the audience. This concept just works when the majority of the viewers can detect flaws in the heros to cope with them

Warner Bros owns the show and trust me the producer once said he always harass them about it so maybe one day they'll get smart. But people only love dumb shows nowadays with violence and guns everywhere instead of something smart. Personally speaking I still write about the shows along with some other to give it some kind of satisfaction in my own way. Way easier since the producer told us most of what he had planned if he kept going.

To start with, Henry and Jo would be interrupted god how many times until he could tell her about his secret, but she would find out at the end of s2 if I've read this right but seems like it and I'll explain why lol. Lucas would be the first to find out he's immortal. I'm pretty sure this would be accidental, Henry would never reveal himself on his own like this, not to Lucas. We would have seen a bit more about Henry's mom and his wife and kids between Nora and Abigail (an Hispanic one) . Henry would never really die because well he's immortal, the producer was just toying with the audience. Adam would wake up from his coma one day but not next season, probably years later as Jo and Henry would be settled. Speaking of them, there would have been another immortal girl for Henry to date like a couple of episodes but this wouldn't last. Matt Miller hinted about the fact she could be the one taking Adam off his coma later. Jo would have a fling but same thing, wouldn't last and both of them would made up to Paris at the end of said s2 so that's why I'm pretty sure she would have known his secret by then unless he planned to ruin the romantic trip LOL. So I think these were the big lines during the Q&A but it spoke a lot already about the upcoming plans. Hope this helps some bits 🙂
That's how it is with most TV shows, they always deleted the best scenes. At least this explains Jo's behavior way better in the next episode. This is truly a beautiful one for sure
I still can't believe that Jo never found out the victim's legal name she used for most of her life and under which she adopted Abe was Abigail Morgan. Because surely, if she had, knowing Henry's past love's name to be Abigail and knowing the deep connection without any blood relationship he has with Abe's mom. And the secrets surrounding it. And finding a name doesn't seem too hard for her. Of course, she did finally find out through the photo, but this just never made sense to me. She definitely got curious, and I don't think much can stop her then.
To be honest I think she definitely suspects it. Henry doesn't even hide Abigail's pictures and she did a general search warrant on the first episode she might have saw them but didn't make the connection yet... But to me, she suspects something, she just doesn't know what exactly because it's all a bit insane. But considering she did see him jumped off Grand Central on the Pilot, trust me, she knows and she knows it's him on the picture because she knows him lol but she just waited for him to tell the whole story. I guess if she didn't make the search that's only because she respects him that way and doesn't want to abuse her power to dig behind his back. I mean past the Pilot where she needed to have information about him because he was a suspect.

Oh no I'm sorry bella, I was not talking about a deleted scene ☹ but the episode Best Food forward which was the episode before this one in where she came back to Henry to tell him she wanted to get lost with him but Abe interrupted them. If this can make you feel any better, the producer of the show said they were going to get to Paris at the end of season 2 and I did a fan made trailer about it lol. But I wish there was a deleted scene about it😔

Yes, I can´t understand it why ??? the second season had simply became canceled. On WIKIPEDIA the bad critics of the professional evaluators had been given for a reason but the positive audience reaction should had told the responsibles the truth about the value of this show
I'm seeing this comment just now O.o. Well ABC cancelled it because lack of audience which is stupid because this was in a very bad time slot and was against huge shows and somehow was still doing better than those.
