Team Work!!
What a great team!!
I can't wait to get those pdf for those cute pockets!
Thank you, Jen❣️
Jen, I am so glad that you all are teaming up with Mari for this wonderful charity. And nice to see the options. People who sew have a real super power. Sewists to the rescue!!!!!
I had so much quilting cottons in my stash that I’m never going to use, so a couple years ago I started sewing dresses out of it for charity. Last year I mailed 50 dresses to Mari and still have fabric left! This is a great project and these beautiful fabrics make the cutest dresses. My fantasy self wants to think I’ll use the stash up in my remaining years, but my real self says something different! I love sewing garments instead of quilts anymore, so making these dresses fills the need for me. Yes, the fabric was expensive! But folks, don’t let it just sit on your shelves. I challenge you to make one dress out of one of your beautiful prints! Bet you can’t make just one!
Nancy that is amazing! And thank you so much for the coffee!
Can’t wait for the pocket tutorial. Beautiful dresses.
Looking forward to seeing your pockets video! Thanks for sharing your work.
I love that you’re doing these pocket details and making these dresses really special!! 💞
Can’t wait to see your pocket variations.
I remember constructing those tie pockets when my daughter was little, but can’t remember now exactly HOW they fit together… they were ingenious as I recall! Looking forward to your tutorial!
They kind of look like bunny ears. You line them and turn right side out. They are a detail a child will enjoy.
Thank you for all you're doing for DAG!
Very cute dress Jen
Very pretty dresses, Jen! Yes, please do a tutorial on the tied pockets. Very nice and would add interesting detail for a dress that might be made using a simple A-line pattern. Thanks!
Pretty dresses .. you're very kind to do that..
Hi Jen, I look forward to your tutorial on the sweet little tied pockets! I love them!😍 The dresses you made are sooo pretty!💗😍

I always enjoy your videos and this was no exception! I am happy to be joining you in PDAG and look forward to your pocket tutorial.
I’m new to Project Dress a Girl this year and I love the Lord too. I think this is exactly what God asks of each of us, to love others….
I have been stressing just a bit to be sure the dresses I make are all within every guideline. My biggest concern is to be sure that the fabric is opaque enough. I have good quality cotton but still am wondering. Yet if I line every dress, it may be too much for warm weather climates. Just me overthinking things. The dresses you showed here are all beautiful and I love the detail on each. Blessings, Linda
Linda you are His hands and feet! Thanks for being a part. I use this rule for judging whether a fabric is opaque - hold it up to a window and put your hand behind it. Can you clearly see the outline of your hand? Then it's too sheer. Can you tell there's a hand there but can't see the defined outline? Then it's ok. Most quilting cottons are fine. The more loosely woven ones can sometimes be too sheer, but usually quality cottons are exactly right. Hope this helps. Thanks again!
Thanks so much Jen. That information will help greatly guiding me on the fabric. God bless, Linda

Hi Jen-this is the 3rd year I am doing the dresses for Project Dress a Girl. I love to sew and this project gives me an excuse to sew little girl's dresses, as I have never had a little girl to sew for. I have 9 dresses done and could really use some labels. If possible could you send some labels to me? If so, please let me know and I can PM you my mailing info. thank you!🥰
Absolutely! Email me at jenwesner@gmail.com with your address and the amount you need and I'll get them out to you.
Where can I find your pocket tutorials? I cannot find them.

May I get 2 to 5 labels? This is my 1st year sewing for Dress A Girl.
Absolutely! Just email me your address at jenwesner@gmail.com and let me know how many you need.
Hi love your little dresses. I’ve got thoughtful creativity pattern and I have my fabrics. I’ve sent for the labels but I can’t seem to connect with a uk ambassador. Can you help me please. Thankyou ❤
Hi Patricia - if you need labels and you're in the UK, you really do need to get them from your UK connection. I do apologize but I can only send them domestically here in the US because of postage costs. What you can do is reach out to Mari @marisews and see if she can help remedy the situation. She's connected to the organization more directly and may be able to put you in touch with someone who can help.
@@TodayinJensSewingRoom hello I’ve ordered the labels through INSPIRED LEATHER I believe that is Maris company, so hopefully they will arrive soon and I have made contact with the UK ambassador so I believe things are on track for success 🙂Thankyou for your help xxxxx
Just wondering about little boys clothes?
No little boys clothing for this specific project - let me refer you to the organization's website for why: www.dressagirlaroundtheworld.com/blank-3 (see #11)
