Hello my Jen l like what you are making. The 🐑, the camel and the people and how you are making them all close to looking real. Jen l like the top you have on very 👍❤.
Wide leg pants or a shift dress gets my vote. Personally I would keep it plain and simple to let the kimono do the talking. Nice to see you back but happy you had good family time. 😊 Happy Sewing. Lynne
Hi lovely 🥰. Yes make a nice simple dress in that gorgeous pink underneath that beautiful kimono. It really is so pretty and from the best of friends. You are really cracking on with those Nativity scenes and marvellous idea to stabilise the legs with popsicle?! Sticks. Your word is so much better than ours 😂 We say lollipop sticks! Popsicle is way more fun 😂. Great to see you back in your room and yes, sometimes we want to just play with small projects and bits of fabric and not embark on huge sewing ventures. I have never done a stopover flight or any flight non direct and you really don't encourage me to 😂😂. Steve however loves them and takes them all the time to save money. When I get on a plane I just want to GET there and directly there! Love you loads ❤ xxx
You are so funny - pretty sure the flights are nonstop from London! Maybe not, I'm sure some of those flights stop in New York or Iceland or any number of places, but not until you're across the pond or at least mostly. You are smart to always do a nonstop. Changing planes may break up the trip in a good way, but delays are ZERO fun. Seems like every time I fly to Charlottesville I have to connect thru Atlanta, and inevitably I'm changing my connecting flight on the fly (on my phone) because my outbound from Charlottesville was delayed. Never fails. It makes me glad I spent so many years in the travel industry and can navigate the apps fairly well. I love lollipop sticks! Let's use them interchangeably, we'll be the popular kids and everyone will want to be just like us. ❤️😘🤗❤️
You know, they call for pipe cleaners in the top of the tree and the leaves. But for those particular things, I didn't think they were strong enough. Maybe a dowel rod this time, or a chopstick. I fiddled and fiddled with those pipe cleaners back when I made it in 1978. But twisted together - those would be great for the legs of the animals. Thanks!
I agree with your shift dress idea in the pink fabric. . The nativity is beautiful! Thank you for the craft sticks/ bb tips . Greetings from New York City👍🏼🇵🇷🗽 😃🙏
Yes, we serve an awesome God who loves us and died for us to cleanse us from our sin. Thank you Jesus! As for that pretty kimono, I see a pretty jumpsuit out of that pink fabric. I enjoy your channel. Many blessings.
Thanks for the stability ideas. Helpful for other projects, too. I think a pink shift dress would be pretty and cooler to wear with your new kimono than pants. Sometimes you just need a break from your routine.
The bb’s are a good idea. Beans can attract bugs and rodents. I’m sure many little hands will appreciate the nativity sets over the years. Our Heavenly Father is unfailing in His love for His children.
Hi Jen: We all do/have done things we are not proud of. So many things in my past I am embarrassed to admit. However, God loves us and has redeemed us if we come to Him in complete humility and ask for forgiveness. I also grew up in a very dysfunctional family. We don't get to choose our family members. We can choose to forgive them for the wrongs, very hurtful words, and insults that make them feel better about themselves. Most of all, we are to pray for them. This makes your heavenly Father proud of you! This is what counts. Love the kimono top Trish gave to you. The pink fabric you have is perfect for a..... shift or tank dress to wear with it to church? That's my first thought. Whatever you make will be a great make! Dori p.s. Just got back from FL. Bought a house in Palm Bay. Will be moving in 3rd week of August. 😁
Hi, Jen! Welcome home! Love your sheep❤️ I’m back to knitting Barbie clothes. It’s so fun and will be a Christmas present for my granddaughter; a lot of sewn and knitted garments made with love. I read the best story today during my devotion time. God says: “he chose you,” “you are beautifully and wonderfully made,” “ beloved,” and “his child.” I loved all of these! Look up Psalm 139:14!
Glad to have you back my Friday friend, I missed you. I would make a jumpsuit or cami type top with matching roomie pants... to go with the kimono top... which is lovely! Very intrigued with the stripe top on your judy....hope to see more of it soon, LOL. 😊
Oh that striped top. Great idea, difficult to execute! It's a refashion of a thrifted top. I may have to take the whole thing apart and just start from scratch. But I love that stripe!
Hello beautiful BFF! I think the dusty rose goes so well with the kimono! I think some widw leg pants would be so pretty with it. That would make such a comfortable outfit. Hlad you had fun on your trip but glad to have you back! I am interested in coming down to visit sometime in August, once James and Tootsie recover from my last week away. They were both traumatized😅. Love and miss you!❤
Hello, how are you doing? To match the top how about using the dusty rose twill to make some Bermuda shorts, maybe with a ruffle on the bottom of the shorts. 😉 💋
The Little But of Jesus was especially anointed today. I was raised in a critical household and that’s how I see that God looks at me. I know differently but sometimes I don’t realize that’s what I’m doing right away. As a “women of a certain age”, I have realized the journey never ends. As a younger women I assumed I would get my act together and go on my merry way. Ha!
I have had a strained relationship with God for many years. I would start out with good intentions then would mess up ,become upset with myself because my parents always reminded me that I could do nothing right. I did heal my relationship with my parents but I didn't fix my relationship with God until recently, after the death of my mother. I still mess up but I now have a better understanding that my relationship with him is most important because he will always be honest and always love me. HE has always looked out for me during those diffucult years with love and patience.
It is so hard for those of us with difficult parents - because God is our father! I'm glad to hear that you've begun your healing with that. Mine is ongoing but more positive these days. God is good!
@@TodayinJensSewingRoom I don't totally blame my parents because I know my grandparents. They also suffered from lack of affection, support and real love.
Loved this. Welcome back. I vote shift dress. Love your Jesus segment.❤
Pants YES!

So good to see you back! I missed you. I’m so thankful as well for a God who not only forgives but shows his love to us every day. Blessings!!
Thank you! Good to be back!
Jen! You’re a genius with the bb’s. A shift dress would be comfortable 😊
Pipe cleaners twisted together also work for legs. The cotton actual pipe cleaners work great.

A shift dress would be nice. Good devotional!❤️
I think so too!
A romper would be darling under that Kimono!
Yes I vote for the shift dress.💜
I fell in love with your nativity. I immediately started searching and found a pattern for a great price on etsy!
That is wonderful!

I love rayon twill ❤. So many things you can make with it.
Me too. I've always had good luck with it.
A simple shift dress would look nice 😊😊😊
Thanks for the stability ideas. Helpful for other projects, too. I think a pink shift dress would be pretty and cooler to wear with your new kimono than pants. Sometimes you just need a break from your routine.
Great idea!
A nice shift dress would look so nice under your wrap. Love the colors.
That pink looks so pretty with your kimono. I vote for the shift dress.
How beautiful is your description of God’s love for us!
The bb’s are a good idea. Beans can attract bugs and rodents. I’m sure many little hands will appreciate the nativity sets over the years. Our Heavenly Father is unfailing in His love for His children.
A gored skirt would echo the ruffle without competing while being versatile and comfortable.
Great idea!
The dusty pink fabric could make some lovely pants like leggins if there is enough stretch .I think thin pants, so that ruffle on the top fits nicely.
God bless you 🍎 👁️
Oh, indeed He has. And keeps.
You can also use rice or walnut shells for random stuffing
Sending Light and Love to All. ❤🙏❤

Hey, the bb’s are good for making pattern weights.
I was thinking the same.

If you have enough pants and top

I am a child of the most high & only God! Be careful to keep the nativity set away from critters who could chew on them and swallow the Bb’s.
Good thoughts about God. We are😊 made to His image and likeness
I don’t know exactly what you should make , but do be thoughtful as that color might make you look naked 🎉
Dress no ruffle
