Enclave was the best from the 4 in that release imo. I actually think Boundless is probably the best one of the 'regular releases' they've released under Salmon (my favorites being Epic 56 and Santal Sohar Attar though).

Enclave and Purpose are the best from the new Amouges, although they are not good enough to be an Amouage

The thing with Enclave is, it's really dry. And I wish it had something like a Paco Rabanne Pure XS vanilla to support everything. That said, I layered it with another dry one, Lutens Chergui, and it was a very interesting pair. Cheers Ramsey.

Ram, that's quite a keen comparison on your part; Auto-tune is to amber woods (Which personally, I do dispise the former more ...Though, now I'm able to really feel for Rich Mitch 😂)

Thanks so much for this review! I've been hoping to know your opinion about it as I already have and enjoy Enclave. I was waiting with bated breath watching your video this morning with my coffee lol! I do love mint so for me it's a love (up from my initial like). I enjoy that it lasts a long time and has a warming feel to it especially with the cold weather now in the Northeast USA. I hope someone sends you a sample of the new Jubilation 40 as I would love to know your opinion on that -especially as I am holding off on buying a bottle of the current Jubi XXV (am fine with my small decant unless I find a great deal on a partial!) until we find out if the Jubi 40 is worth getting a decant and eventually a full bottle if ever I save up that much. I love enclave. Hated it at first, when i was new to fragrances. Amber and mint does seem weird. This is one of my most compimented ones though. I love mint, i love every other note. To me it's like a winter Aventus, instead of ambroxen its the "amber extreme" which i is different enougj from ambroxan for me. DEFINITELY huge departure from what we associate with amouage, but i have most definitely come around to loving it.

still on the fence about Enclave. It smells super modern, but the scent is perfectly juxtaposed with the strong mint at the opening supported by the ambery base with a weird spice combination like you said. It's almost like smelling candy cane.

As far as amouage goes i own epic man, interlude, jubilation xxv, beach hut and portrayal and i love them all..but i have never seen you talk about beach hut on a review id love to hear your opinions on it

Enclave is just okay, not the typical Amouage DNA that I would like to collect. I just got 20 bottles of Amouages, and now I’m obsessed with Overture Man, it has delicious boozy but not sweet. I also waiting for Jubilation 40 extrait will drop in the next year.

@@RamseytheRam Thank you, Ramsey. I consistently follow your reviews on Amouage. I'm planning to acquire a full bottle of Overture Woman soon. Also, I recently welcomed new family members of my Amouage collection, including Opus XIII Silver Oud, which, in my opinion, falls into the same category as Interlude Man, although it leans towards a more linear profile. I even detect subtle notes reminiscent of a blend between Overture Man and Interlude Man in Opus XIII Silver Oud.
Cheers Rams nicely said , I when , mint is mentioned turn off a fragrance to be honest,not a fan of it really,taste nor smell, probably forced as a kid to over brush my teeth by mom and toothpaste and even The damn brushes were a torture of sorts 😅, so that said I do see of course how lots of people love mint and most likely this fragrance, as modern offerings are for the best part ,regardless of the fragrance house, designed to be people friendly and really pleasant for the wearer ,and I do step outside my twentieth century mindset and preferences in perfume,and actually wear and can honestly enjoy the new wave scent profile of today ,however I will not pay the high end niche house price tags just to smell modern and nice and therefore I just dabble in reasonable priced designer versions 😊.cheers Rams have a good one buddy ✌️🙏👍

This fragrance is a pass for me. I tried to get on with it, but the spearmint note is too much. I appreciate the creativity though. Now boundless is definitely growing on me, a nice fall offering. I look forward to your updated review on boundless Ramsey

I did enjoy Enclave but I do not think it is full bottle worthy. I am usually not very fond of those "captive" ingredients as I am put off by them. But this is not the case with Enclave. Those "captive" ingredients are so potent in Enclave though. They do not come off easily even after washing your clothes. It took me 2-3 washing cycles to take this smell off my cotton top. This has put me off wearing Enclave altogether!

I couldn’t get past the mint. It’s done well and doesn’t smell synthetic to me. I just prefer mint in fragrances to complement, not dominate outright as it does for me here. Definite pass.
Agreed ....I will review beach hut man soon... I think that is a better use of mint tbh
@@RamseytheRam I look forward to it. Very powerful stuff. Have you tried Beach Hut Woman? I prefer Beach Hut Man but the BH Woman is still masculine, and for me, matches the ‘Beach Hut’ theme more closely. If you don’t like the mineral accord though, it’d probably be a big dislike.

I am not as ignorant to SAY your sample is contaminated. Rather, I asked if you take for granted the sample is absolutely contamination free, reason being I know for a fact even one foreign molecule can change the scent. For context, I cleaned such sample bottle with ethanol, blew into it with high pressure steamer and dried with compressed air. The sample I made in this used sample smelled slightly, but noticeably different compared to the same perfume I decanted into a fresh new sample bottle.
I guess I was a bit surprised you sort of disregarded Enclave, hence my comment. Once again, I did not mean to offend, but rather suggested you should revisit it, perhaps your understanding of it and your opinion would change. For example, I disliked Interlude the first several times I tried it. Was intrigued why people like it, therefore I tried it a few more times. Now I love it.

Dude its just a plaatic sample... this is what you get when you watch a channel that isnt sponsored.. unless someone sends me a free bottle (which they havent) this is how I can get my nose on it...

I really, really dislike this one. I found the mint and amber-woods juxtaposition so jarring and discordant. I will give you that it’s modern and that stays on skin for a week but here that was not a selling point. I have rarely scrubbed a fragrance (or tried to 😂) but I had to with this. Glad I tried it tho for the experience and to save myself the money!
As for captive molecules/ingredients, you were using the term correctly. They are captive to whoever made them because they won’t /don’t sell them to other houses to use. Has nothing to do with the chemistry if that’s what you were wondering.

Enclave is very meh. If you want mint get Houbigant Ambre des Abysses!

@@RamseytheRam only from the ones I've tried its better than the original more masculine I'd love you to review it mate. I also like dia man but performance is terrible & I like journey man. Might order a sample set as there's loads I need to try
Reflection 45 is kinda like a more complex version of the original. The cypress and Vetiver is prominent and I get a strong resemblance of encre noire. For that money, I was hoping that amouage does some crazy twist of the original with the extraits rather than altering the original composition slightly and dumping 20-30% more oil.
