@Grey Malachi I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I can tell you that I did try the website option quite a while ago but the issue is in the GoPro itself, the gps is quite dreadful for most trails (I mean that it doesn't like trees covering the sky), the data that I recovered was unstable in some parts making it useless for most of the time, I will admit that I haven't given it a try with the newest updates so I might just do that to see if I could have some useful overlays to implement in the videos since the windows program to add the overlays back gives you quite a few customization options to make your own graphics.
Years latter i still dont know how to do it with my 11 without paying for the overlay app... And on the phone i already gave up and dont have that free space needed available...
@@DHOBSESSIONS yesterda i was fiddeling with the app connected to the gopro and apparently it finds a signal faster, however iam not sure if this means i have to keep it connected to the app on track to get a good signal but will see. Today i will do more testing. Thank you man!
okey so i have tried cycling, once turning the gopro on and waiting for a min. and the second method is using the app. First does not work second works likes 90% of the time, it still loses signal sometimes but i dont think there is anything wrong with the camera.

I Will try this in a few days, cant believe after almost 2 years my hero 8 still has this problem...
