Though I can’t speak for this particular pattern, I made 2 skorts last summer in a very similar pattern and I wore them almost every day. I made them is a swim fabric which worked well ( but can be a bit warm for really hot days). If you’ve never worn or sewn a skort pattern, I highly recommend it, easy to sew. Great for windy days too so you’re not flashing anyone, sitting on a beach or a lawn somewhere for a picnic. I love and trust LN patterns, I may have to get this one. 😊

Loved the video. I never wear shorts, but this encourages me to give it a try. My question is: would this work with a ponte in the skirt? My black ponte is a medium weight and not sure if it would work.

Love the video but I’m hoping you do a video on putting together the skorts. I would like to make the skorts for Pickleball. Thanks for all your wonderful videos.
I did sew them but ended up taking out the shorties because skorts are only sporty in my lifestyle and the skirt on its own would be more versatile for me. There’s really no difficulty though. It’s done in two stages: stretch the shorties to match the waistline of the tinley and baste (then it acts as one piece) then sew the waistband as per usual.
There’s no way to avoid the layers. I just baste the shorties to the waistline and then add the waistband. If you saw my Masterclass, I’d use method number 3
